Although I think 10 years is such a long time, I feel a bit relieved by this news. I really didn’t want Will to lose his Oscar. Imagine how devastating that would be to lose an award you worked your whole life to get for a moment of madness. The Oscar’s had to punish him some way to show that they think violence is wrong, so Will had something coming to him just so the academy can look good. Now that’s done it can become yesterdays news, Will can focus on himself and hopefully build his career back.

It's unlikely they'll take the Oscar away. Whoopi Goldberg is on the board, and within a couple days of the incident, she said they weren't going to.

It will be in everyone’s best interest to get this over with. After they make their decision it will be in the media for like a week. After that I hope the media will move on to something else. I wonder what they will decide. Maybe take away his Oscar?

Oh, wow. This is definitely not a polished and presentable moment. There are a lot of memes, YouTube videos, and articles coming out that are focusing on Jada in the second phase of all this. I don't want to pin the negativity on her, because none of us know her personally. The media likes to speak negatively about strong women. Especially strong, black women. They jump to conclusions about women who don't try to be "America's sweetheart". It's worth pointing out that none of those who know her personally are saying bad things about her, at least not that I've seen. I remember watching an entertainment show back when Bad Boys first came out. The media's angle on Will and Jada showing that they were together was taking the angle that she was the "bad girl" that seemed a misfit for him. Then they turned into a power couple and everyone loved them. It seems like this "redefining" of their relationship is accommodating Jada, where as much of their relationship before this was accommodating Will. Ultimately everyone should be happy. If that's them, good. If it's not and this "redefining" an upgrade for both of them, it's time to take steps where they can be happy and completely themselves.

I don't like to say much as I'm just an outsider looking in, but that doesn't look like a healthy relationship at all. Will looks completely broken and Jada comes off as really abusive in that clip.

As crazy as Loretta was, in light of everything recently, Will would've been better off with her instead of Jada.
