Juice: When I first moved back to Chicago from L.A., I began working with Clubhouse Entertainment. I was part of a writing team that produced "Summertime" by Will Smith, "The Kissing Game" by High Five, "Pass the Toilet Paper" by OutHere Brothers. I would freestyle in the booth and if there were any hot lines to be used, they would use 'em. I didn't really understand publishing at the time and didn't really care because those cats kind of took me in. We got sued by Kool and the Gang for the sample and nobody made money. It let me know that I had what it took to be a writer though. I am still working with the producer of "Summertime" (K Fingers aka AZZA). Everyone in Chicago knows he's still my guy. We just wrote and produced an album for a new artist, and I'm re-writing "Summertime" for him (He's a shorty, so we think it could work again). We'll see.

This mixtape reminds me of how good the roots were and how things literally fell apart since that album. Malik B and Black thought going back and forth was the roots and losing malik b they really lost a lot and the complete abandonment of jazz music didn't help either.. Damn I'm listening to this again and its bloody good So much better than I remembered. Jeff actually mixes in a lot of older roots tracks which I didn't remember. Uploading now, so I'll post it shortly.

Yeah Hancock will make 200 million, but I have a feeling both Hancock and Legend will leave a sour taste in peoples mouth and they aren't gonna rush out to see Seven Pounds.. They may wait and see if its a good movie first.

I think a lot of people in forums don't think before they post, or don't make thoughtful meaningful posts. You may have Lorettaitis, so you should get that checked.
