  1. Thats the only thing I don't really like about the song. The beat is a classic beat, but not Jazzy Jeff's. The beat is from Gang Starr's "Words That I Manifest." I think Jeff should only use his original beats only, because his beats are awesome. Sure, he did change the beat slighty, by adding in a shaker and a few other little things, but the main orginial sample is from Gang Starr. The song is definitely dope though, but I think that Jeff shouldn't use beats like that. Just like the Ntro, on The Magnificent, he took the main orginial sample from ATCQ's "Butter," and reused it. I kinda think its unoriginal, but they are still great songs that I like a lot. Jeff just used the same sample..just because someone else used the sample doesn't mean Jeff can't use it..

  9. I hope you are right Coz. The decline in hip hop sales does say something about the quality. A lot of people who have followed hip hop for a number of years are pretty dissatisfied with its current state. The RnB decline is interesting. I think the record industry chewed up and spat out the whole "neo-soul" thing, and a lot of good artists fell by the way side. RnB is just as watered down and played out as rap it seems these days.
  10. Sony saw solid launches of "The Pursuit of Happyness" in the U.K. and Australia. In Blighty it took $5 million at 413, 11% higher than "The Departed," which registered the best opening of a drama in 2006; in Australia, it garnered $2.7 million at 223, 24% better than "Memoirs of a Geisha," which posted the highest 2006 launch for a drama in Oz. Rough estimates of the Italian launch of "Pursuit," directed by Italian helmer Gabriel Muccino and handled by local distrib Medusa, came in at around $3.5 million at 430 to fall behind "Rocky Balboa" for the top slot. The respectable numbers for "Pursuit," which opens next weekend in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, underline Will Smith's worldwide box office appeal. Two years ago, "Hitch" took in nearly $190 million outside the U.S.
