  5. Indie Culture Gets Wu'd By Chris Rolls | more stories by this author October 14, 2005 at 06:00:00 PM Dreddy Kruger merges the Wu-Tang with indie microphone masters, producing one of this year's most important releases. The Internet is abuzz with the latest Wu-Tang-affiliated release, Dreddy Kruger Presents...Think Differently Music: Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture. Such compilations have historically proven either mediocre or just plain terrible, but Dreddy Kruger has seen his vision through with astounding success. Let there be no confusion, Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture is not a Wu-Tang album per se, but rather, it's a melding of the signature Wu core sound and extended Wu family members' sounds with independent microphone virtuosos, including MF Doom, Ras Kass, Aesop Rock, Del tha Funky Homosapien, Casual, Sean Price, J-Live, C-Rayz Walz, Planet Asia, R.A. the Rugged Man, Littles, Cannibal Ox, Timbo King, Prodigal Sunn, Solomon Child, and Tragedy Khadafi. If those MCs don't get you jumping, then the appearance of RZA, GZA, and U-God should. Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture will introduce many to Brooklyn native Dreddy Kruger, who conceptualized the album and saw it through to fruition. Kruger's been down with the Wu since its infancy. Originally a dancer for GZA during his Cold Chillin' Records days, Kruger went on to become an artist signed to RZA's Wu-Tang Records label. Amassing Wu beats over the past decade-plus armed Kruger with enough vintage Wu material for this compilation. The effect of mixing contemporary MCs with an antiquated Wu-Tang aesthetic is mesmerizing. Hearing the likes of Hieroglyphics' ringleader Del tha Funky Homosapien, or Ras Kass, over Wu beats is enough to make any rap fiend cry "Hallelujah!" The collaboration that really has kids goin' nuts is between RZA and MF Doom (aka Bobby Digital and Metal Fingers). The track is called "Biochemical Equation," and it's the lead single from Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture--for obvious reasons. Track Listing: 1. Introduction 2. GZA & Ras Kass - Lyrical Swords 3. Vast Aire, Timbo King, Prodigal Sunn & Byata - Slow Blues 4. Sean Price, U-God, C-Rayz Walz, & Prodigal Sunn - Still Grimey 5. Skit 6. Casual, Rock Marciano, Vordul Mega & Tragedy Khadafi - Think Differently 7. Infomercial #1 8. RZA & MF Doom - Biochemical Equation 9. O.D.B. Tribute 10. Del tha Funkee Homosapien - Fragments 11. La The Darkman, Scaramanga Shallah, Ras Kass & GZA - Verses 16. Aesop Rock & Del Tha Funkee Homosapien - Preservation 17. C.C.F. Division - Cars On The Interstate... 18. 15. yeah jeffs enjoyin the world tour :2thumbs:
  16. hang on i thought you were from outer space :stickpoke: I'd apply the same principles to extraterrestial life as intelligent design.. its like "the worlds so big their must be other life out there.." "the world is so complex..a higher power must have created it" hey both arguments may be correct but there is no factual evidence.. its like trying to complete a whole world when you can only see half of it .. you just don't know.. well I think both cases should have to be proved ..not disproved.. :pony:
  17. I'm not saying intelligent design is religious.. I'm saying its not scientific.. its an answer to a question that cannot be answered.. its filling in the gaps to make the person feel comfortable in the world.. It helps explain the unexplainable.. I'd like to think the creation of life and existence can't be explained.. it's too easy for me :whew: are we seeing the intelligence behind creation or are we just seeing the intelligince of creation.. its a bit of reaching for me..
  18. Yep I cant wait.. if you want humour in your rap fat lip has it in spades..
  19. freedom of thought..the power of the mind.. when you wake up..whats the first thing you think of?
  20. ID4 did not drop knowledge.. Planet of the Apes definitely did.. see all great science fiction is really about humanity and thats what Planet of the Apes was all about..where are we going as a society? how are we treating each other .. its actually very deep.. one of my favorite movies..
  21. UK single sales have dropped dramatically switch sold about 160, 000 but is in the top 5 singles of the year.. good to see lost & found went silver hopefully party starter can push it to gold..
  22. See I don't think people are going to accept that as a scientific theory. We cant understand life its too complex therefore God exists.. its like God is beyond imagination, we cant imagine God. Therefore God exists. The argument in intelligent design is of a spiritual nature, not a scientific one.. just because certain scientists believe it doesn't make it any more important than someone on the street, because there is no proof..
  23. here we go :paperbag: i'll catch yall on page 20 :paparazziupinthespot:
