  2. That was an awesome episode! Thanks to Cris for keeping us in the edit.. Didn't think we'd make it. I thought what we said was really good! Jim the jazz cafe is one of the best venues I've seen Jeff play! Come over to London in October and we can all see the show together! What a great night.. And Brakes having no way to get home! Was great seeing that. Awesome memories.
  3. Loved that song.. never liked the video though

  5. how is Jeff doing a show in bristol & manchester on the same night? aren't they far apart?
  6. Excellent! Definitely going to the London show & maybe the Manchester one as well.
  7. It would be nice if Will worked with a really good actress instead of someone from Neighbours Rose Byrne would have been decent, at least from this list... IMDB: Back in April, Will Smith took over Ben Affleck's role in Focus, and Kristen Stewart peaced out, citing too large an age gap between herself and Smith. (Smith: 44; Affleck: 40; awkwardness: 100.) Now the film from Crazy, Stupid, Love. writer/director duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa has found a new love interest for Smith in Margot Robbie, an Australian actress who'll appear in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. She beat out Olivia Munn, Michelle Williams, Jessica Biel, and Rose Byrne for Focus. Like K-Stew, Robbie is 23.
  8. Margot Robbie Takes Focus Opposite Will Smith Source: Variety July 15, 2013 Margot Robbie has won the female lead in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming Focus. Variety reports that the Wolf of Wall Street star will appear opposite Will Smith in the con artist tale from writer-directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love.) The film is said to involve a romance between a professional conman and someone just learning the criminal art and how their past relationship comes back into play when they meet up again years later. Earlier iterations of the project were planning to feature the pairings of both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone and, later, Ben Affleck and Kristen Stewart in the leading roles. Robbie, currently best known for her television work on shows like "Neighbours" and "Pan Am," can also soon be seen on the big screen in the time travel romance About Time.
  9. I love a good darkwing duck reference
  10. Yeah I'm just super excited to hear souls on that native tongues jazzy vibe again! Sounds really promising!
  11. Adrian Younge Talks New Concept Album With Souls Of Mischief, Narrated By Ali Shaheed Muhammad Today on Sway In The Morning, producer/musician Adrian Younge and hip-hop group Souls of Mischief announced that they’d be releasing a joint album via RZA’s Soul Temple Records, due out this September. In an interview with XXL earlier this week, Younge dished on the concept behind the album—which has its own storyline, as did Younge’s recent output Twelve Reasons To Die with Ghostface Killah—as well as the style and feel of the project, and the involvement of Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Check back later today for the rest of the interview with Younge.—Dan Rys (@danrys) “The next project is Adrian Younge Presents Souls of Mischief. That’s my next big thing and I’m super happy about that. It’s a project that if somebody misses the sounds of 93 ’til Infinity meets The Low End Theory meets De La Soul Is Dead. If somebody misses that kind of sound, they’ll be happy to hear this album because it goes back to that time, you know. Kind of like how the Ghostface album [12 Reasons To Die] kind of went back to that time. And I love both styles of music back then, so I’m very, very excited. “And it’s also a concept album too—Souls of Mischief almost gets killed by some dude that was just crazy and the whole album just starts off with this incident, and then it blossoms into these different stories that are a result of this volatile incident. And that’s basically what that album is about. It’s dope though. It’s really dope. As far as stylistically, it’s kind of like if Bob James and Herbie Hancock recorded with Q-Tip back in the day, you know what I’m saying. That’s the perspective on the album. I was with Ali Shaheed Muhammad yesterday showing him some of the stuff and he was totally getting it because he’s going to be the narrator on this album, like how RZA was sort of the narrator for Ghost [on 12 Reasons], that’s what Shaheed’s going to be doing. It’s Native Tongues ****, you know what I’m saying, so that’s what I’m super psyched about. “I mean it’s done now; I’m just touching stuff up. But it’s pretty much done. It’s going to be released in September.”
  12. Well they rushed through that tour! That would put Jazz Cafe in the next episode.. Doubt what Cris filmed with us would be in the episode though because its not really what Vinyl Destination is about..Maybe if he did a seperate episode about that show or what the fans think.. Really enjoyed this episode, was good to see Redman and loved the story about Shaq!

  16. Yes! This is amazing I don't know if it's because I listen to a lot of these songs already but I really love this mix. This is how I would rate the 4 summertime mixes so far.. Vol 1. 9.5 (almost perfect) Vol 2. 8 (solid) Vol 3. 7 (starting to run out of "summertime tracks") Vol 4. 10 (Just an amazing tracklist, an hour of great music, this will be on heavy rotation!!)
  17. As long as you are happy Kev that's all that matters
  18. Evolution is the long-anticipated new Slum Village album, featuring founding member T3 along with Young RJ and Illa J. Slum Village was founded in the early 90s by three childhood friends: Baatin, T3, and rapper and producer J Dilla, who all grew up together in the Conant Gardens neighborhood of Detroit, MI. After leaving Pershing High School, the trio began to forge a path into the Detroit underground hip hop scene and quickly found themselves steadily gaining popularity, where they originally went by the name Ssenepod. Even though the group has suffered many heartaches and member changes over the years, Slum Village always finds a way to reinvent its brand. The Evolution of Slum Village continues with a reinvigorated energy, as founding member T3 holds down the legacy along with the Grammy-nominated producer Young RJ as well as young prodigy Illa J at his side. Evolution also includes the talents and skills of Havoc(of Mobb Deep), Raheem Devaughn, Jazzy Jeff and Rapper Big Pooh, amongst others. TRACK LISTING 1. Braveheart (feat. Havoc (Mobb Deep)) 2. Rock Rock (feat. DJ Jazzy Jeff) 3. Let It Go (feat. Blu) 4. Forever 5. Scared Money (feat. Early Mac) 6. Summer Breeze 7. The Line (feat. Focus) 8. Hustle (feat. Vice / J Ivy) 9. Bout That (feat.
