  1. That's right he did like a 20 minute video of that show didn't he.. Were you guys filmed in anything from then? I think it will take forever til we get to Cris filming us in October and I'm not sure we'd even make it into an episode. None of us are drinking vodka at 10am or changing our shirt while being drunk.. at least from what I remember..
  2. Looking at the Calendar from last year we are up to april 30 2012. Still a lot of shows to get through: This is May 2 Yaki Da- Gothenburg, Sweden 3 Thompson’s Garage- Belfast, Ireland 4 Tonstudio- Stuttgart, Germany 5 Atelierul De Productie- Bucharest, Romania 7 Le Theatro- L’ile, France 9 Jazz Cafe- London,UK 10 Lakota- Bristol, UK 11 Nieuwe Oogst- Rotterdam, The Netherlands 12 Southport Soul Weekender- Minehead, UK 23 Men In Black 3 Premier New York, NY Now there is 2 dates that interest me. May 12 southport weekender.. are they actually going to show how we lose Darnell in this series? and May 23.. we know Cris was their and filmed JJFP performing are we going to see that and some behind the scenes in the series? Still might be another 6 episodes..3 months away from seeing this but those episodes would be interesting...
  3. Great recap Julie! FreshfromSofia Jeff used to play a lot of hip hop.. he used to go through a lot of classics.. tribe called quest/pharcyde/souls of mischief/de la soul/black sheep/rakim/biggie/2pac/snoop/ i haven't seen him play those long hip hop sets in a while though..and in fact when he played classics like tribe called quest he got almost no response from the audience..but when he plays some new stuff like yellow & black people go nuts.. it is what it is.. I am just glad I got to see Jeff spin..when he spun vinyl..did it for 3 hours plus and didn't have Skillz there yelling over every track.. they were probably the best sets I ever saw him do..and you could tell how skilled he was and how far ahead of everyone else he was back then.. Although seeing Jeff play in Vegas was one hell of an experience it was probably the worst music I have ever see him play..all top 40 rubbish tracks.. The interesting thing is being up on stage and looking out at the crowd is you see how they react..and the crowd loves that stuff.. whenever Jeff would play music that I love..there would be nothing.. The other thing is I'm 33 now.. so why would I expect some drunk 18 year old chick to like de la soul's award tour or tribe called quest scenario? It ain't happening.
  4. I can't believe the Fresh Prince has not given his son advice on vocal delivery! It sounds awful.
  5. Fantastic video, really well directed and edited. This song is straight garbage though. The beat is okay, the lyrics are completely throwaway and meaningless, and the vocal delivery is some of the worst I've ever heard. No emotion, or expression in his verse, no highlighting of words or phrases. The kid needs to listen to some public enemy, guru/gangstarr & Pete rock/CL smooth to learn what you say is so much more important than how you say it..and the power of a strong voice.
  6. This is pretty cool! I remember when Jeff was getting the studio built so its great to see it all finished. Love the code red gold plaque.. also I saw some artwork from Stacey[squarebiz]! and Jeff lives in portside avenue that explains why the tracks he used to send me were called portside tracks!
  7. I gotta say these are extremely well produced, definitely deserves to be n TV r at least get a blu-ray release. Can't wait til the next episode! French police!!
  8. If Will released a new album this place would be jumpin! but the reality is Will hasn't released any music in 7 years, and I don't think he will ever release another song... I'm proud of what we've accomplished here over the years though for sure. 2004/2005 when Lost & Found was coming out was a truly awesome time to be a fan. Will's real come back to hip hop. JJFP performing everywhere, it was pretty amazing after the disappointment of Born to Reign and Will seemingly abandoning music for hollywood.
  9. Don't really like this... guess its up to the kids to like it these days anyway...
  10. Will's obviously more worried about himself than appearing in a good movie then...
  11. Woo! You better be their man! represent us!
  12. Really interesting interview. I agree with a lot of what Jeff said. It's interesting to hear Jeff talk about the rise of the DJ while in hip hop it's mostly been ignored, you don't even get scratches on rap records these days. Would be cool if they got vinyl destination onto TV as well!
  13. Way too old for that stuff haha. Enjoy guys!
  14. I'm sorry but that looks awful.. What is with the voice Will is using? He sounds like a robot? Another shymalan flop coming our way...
  15. Damn why couldn't Will come to London when Jeff was performing!

  17. Another really good episode! Is there anywhere we can see what tracks are used in the episodes? Once again a great selection..I need to get some of those..
  18. Looks like it could be a late night! If its a big venue hopefully they have more of a "backstage" than jazz cafe
  19. Gary Whitta, the writer of After Earth is on this IGN show..he comes in about the 5:30 mark and talks about the movie and working with Will.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UsiavaPiZjQ
