Hi everyone, As you know, i was with Jeff this week talking about our strategies and projects for 2014. The topic of the fan club came up and he was overwhelmed this year by the love and support. He wanted me to send this to you.

Guess who's coming back to London?
Nic61974 replied to Nic61974's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
@Kev For sure! Just waiting on word from the agent as to the shows I can share with you. He's on tour from April 15 - May 11. -
Season 2 of Vinyl Destination starts today! DJ Jazzy Jeff and his crew are back, taking you along as they spread music across the globe! Charlotte, North Carolina is where we catch up with the guys as they rock two parties during the CIAA basketball tournament. But according to the guys, CIAA is more than just a tournament, it's the place where the 'playaz' play! Say what?!?! Next stop is the land of the magical bean, also known as Chicago. Who leaves Chicago with special powers? Tune in to episode one of Vinyl Destination to find out!

@Julie ... NEVER! I love when he's surprised. It doesn't happen very often.

The Dosage project is going to be the first one out. And I'm pushing for a Magnificent 3 for end of the year/top of 2015. Wouldn't that be a treat? Fingers crossed. xx -
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I wanted to give you the heads up that we have confirmed Jeff at Scala on April 18th. I also have shows in Bristol (Apr 17) and Warington (May 4) confirmed.

OMG! This is such a great idea! I can't wait to see the final product. And yes, Jeff is turning 49 this year.

Hey guys, Obviously I'm in a position where I get to speak with Jeff everyday and hear a lot of stories but I can honestly say he amazes me all the time. Having had a 30+ year career, sometimes I forget that he's been involved in music, and so many different aspects of the business, for a very long time. I wanted to share this story with you because even in my position, I still get star-struck and/or amazed talking with Jeff. We were having breakfast a few weeks ago, (Jeff had 2 chocolate pudding cups and a cup of coffee lol) and we were talking about his mom. He was telling me that his mom never wanted to be front and center talking to press or anything like that and always kept him grounded, even at the height of JJFP. He said that they had "won an award" and there was a huge crowd waiting for him and Will at the airport and followed by a huge celebratory party being held at Jeff's mom's house. He said that in the middle of the party, his mom ran out of bread so she called him over, gave him $5 and told him to go to the corner store and buy bread. Jeff tried to protest saying, "but mom, this party is for me, we just won this big award". His mom said, "get your butt to the corner store and buy me that bread". He said it didn't matter to her that they were "famous" he needed to go and get the damn bread. Fast forward to a few weeks later. I was looking for a particular video of him on youtube and started watching some old JJFP interviews. I randomly stumbled upon this: I was shocked. Jeff had literally told me this story over breakfast and to hear it be part of an acceptance speech, 20 year prior was mind boggling. I called him and said, "hey remember that story blah blah blah" and showed him the video. He laughed. Most of you have met Jeff and know that he is extremely humble. I told Jeff that every now and again I get caught off guard because I'm not talking to Jeff, my boss, or Jeff, my friend, I'm actually talking to "THE DJ JAZZY JEFF" and this was one of those moments to for me. He laughed again and said he knows how I feel because sometimes he forgets that he's that guy too. So I agree, he needs to write and autobiography! I'm glad you enjoyed the Spin Doctor Q&A. It was really important for him to give back and talk to the DJ community for a little bit.

Hi everyone, Can you please send me your pictures you took at either the show or the lunch? I'd like to put them up on Jeff's site/FB, with your permission of course. You can send them to nicole@djjazzyjeff.com So Jeff had such a nice time talking with you all. He was blown away at the thought that went into the questions and a handful of them actually make him really sit and think. One question in particular blew him away. In fact, he said it may have been the best questions he's ever been asked. "What would 2013 Jeff say to 1986 Jeff" really got him. I'm excited to see how he answered it.

Hey Julie, Happy to hear you had a good time. I just chatted with Brakes briefly and they are hanging out in Jeff's room getting ready to do the interview. I can't wait to see the footage!

Hi everyone, DJ Ferno is chronicling the Vinyl Destination tour on his website www.djferno.com He's got some pretty cool photos for a behind the scenes look from the tour. Take a look if you have a minute!

Unfortunately, they are only going to be in Toronto for a week for the Red Bull Threestyle Finals.

@Kev ... Busy?!?!?! You can say that again. Remember they leave for a month long Asia/Australia tour and we are already planning Europe for next spring. He's going to be out for almost a month between April and May! I miss them terribly when they are gone, but I could NEVER travel like they do. When I tag along to US shows, I am beat by day #2. It takes a special person to stay up all night, travel by day, sleep on car rides, eat at all crazy hours and unfortunately that's not me. :( I'm more of the schedule - organize - plan - type people. I like dinner by 6, bed by 10. :)

@joe1306 @DJFERNO is Jeff's sound tech so if you see him make sure you say hi! He and Steve both know you're coming to the show.
-
If you're attending one of the DJ Jazzy Jeff shows, please see Steve (Jeff's tour manager) to get a photo with Jeff. I'd love for you to post your photos here so I can then compile them and have them posted to Jeff's website and social media sites. Steve will be more than happy to facilitate photos with JJ+FP fan club members! And be sure to say hello to our camera guy Cris! You may just make it into the next season of Vinyl Destination !

@ the London crew ... Jeff's set time is 12.00am - 2.00am at Plan B @ Joe/Dusseldorf Show - Make sure you introduce yourself to Steve (Jeff's tour manager) so you can get a picture with Jeff at the end of the show. I'll let Steve know you'll be looking for him. He usually is posted up by the stage during the entire show.

these are some REALLY good questions guys! Coming off some routine press, he's going to really enjoy these questions. Kev, I've asked if he wants to see the questions ahead of time and he said "Nope!". He knows you guys will ask some interesting questions. Much more thought provoking than "what can we expect from you in ABC town". So excited to see this!

Tim, he's in Australia in December: Dec 12 Brisbane Dec 13 Melbourne Dec 14 Sidney
