  4. The only positive I can take from Newcastle lately is that we have lost out last 2 games and are still ahead of schedule in the Allardyce era. The less said about Pompey the better. That was embarrassing. Spurs are severely missing Ledley King, if he was there I reckon you'd be about 10-12 points better off. At least you can be safe in the fact that you're keeping that bottom 4 spot warm for someone else.
  5. Y'all are uptight, it's just a nickname, damn. I think it's funny, just a shame it hasn't helped Spurs eh Kev? :lolsign: I dunno what's going on there this season, I had them banked to take a good leap at a top 4 spot, now they'll be lucky to salvage any kind of European football IMO.
  6. Happy belated birthday man :wickedwisdom:

  19. I agree with Visqo on some points. I agree with the fact that K is just giving the people what they want, but I also think that if this isn't natural to him, he shouldn't be doing it, and should focus on being himself with his artistry. But none of us know him in reality, maybe the way he acts in rap and interviews, is how he is. And if you are really honest with yourself, it's not the artists like K you are annoyed at, you're annoyed at the audiences who listen to this music. Rapping is a job at the end of the day, if you wanna go commercial it's a job, so K caters to the audience. It's like if you go to and Aerosmith concert and 50 Cent performs, you'll be pissed off, because you wanted Aerosmith. I also agree with the fact that you can't draw a conclusion about a persons personality with what you see in the media. If we did, MJ is a child molester, WS is gay etc. Also you cant tell if how people act in the public eye is actually how they are, K could be the nicest person in the world, WS could be the nastiest person in the world. You just can't tell. I think the real issue is, people are seeing this more of WS's decline and less of K's rise. Yes he's not very talented, yes he sound like a lot of other rappers, but fact is, he is also better than a lot of chart topping artists out today. He's 200% better than who is brandished as the best in the game at present, Lil Wayne. Of course everyone can have an opinion on everything, and I'm not trying to change anyones opinion. I don't think he is very talented, but Better Man is a dope track, and K does speak sense in some of the interviews that he is actually asked sensible questions in. Like AJ said, give him an honest listen when the album drops, then draw the conclusion. If you still have the same opinion, so be it. I may even have teh same opinion as some of you after. But you have to give him a chance before you completely disregard him as an artist and person. Also from the "he's FP's nephew, he should rap like him" opinion, come on, key word is nephew, he's not FP and he has creative freedom over his actions. Right or wrong, thats the way it should be. At least give him credit for the fact his album won't have a PA sticker. Hell, not even many positive artists today can say that.
  20. A copy on eBay for anyone interested :2thumbs: Type in Summertime 2007.
  21. The Real Fresh Prince is a reference to the TV show, he's not saying it has anything to do with FP's legacy as a rapper. His life was very similar to Will's in FPOBA. He lived in West Philly, moved to Cali to live with his rich aunt and uncle. As he explained, thats what the reference means. He's actually talking sense in that interview, I dont see where the hate comes from. he may not be very talented as a rapper, but he made a lot of sense in that interview.
  22. I haven't read the whole thread, I'm just gonna drop my opinion. And agree with Max on I, Robot. That was a great movie. I think personally the whole director thing boils down to who will do the best job on a given movie. I think I said this in the thread sonic made about yes men. Using a big name director isn't always gonna give you the best results, and why some complain about Will not using big name directors, I see no real evidence that anyone else could have done a better job directing. Obviously there is o evidence on the counter either. But a great movie was created with POH, and the only thing I didn't like about that was the chemistry between Will and Thandie, not the directing. Sure he's the biggest Hollywood star at this moment, but that doesn't mean that the best directors in the world will always do the best job on a WS movie. I think it's great that he's using lesser known directors at this point, because it gives them a chance to get established, and it hasn't damaged Wills cred at all, in fact after using Muccino, its enhanced it. The Spielbergs and Scorcese are not always gonna be here, so its good to get the lesser directors coming through. To me thats like saying, Will is too big to be working with the smaller directors, if you have that mentality, you have an ego, and you think you're too good to work under a director whose not well know. Thats not the mentality to have. You pick who you feel is best for the movie, Scorcese and Spielberg aren't always gonna be the best choice.
