All I'm saying is we dont even have a clear statement about the situation and everyone acts like its the end of humanity as we know it. It's just a possibility he's leaving music, the mans not dying. He owes us nothing as a rapper. If he chooses to quit now, its his decision, no amount of bitching will make a difference. But again, lets not forget it was only a tiny comment he made on the red carpet of a movie he is proud of, so he probably wasnt interested in talking about music anyway. There is no clear definition that any of it is actualy true, stop jumping to conclusions before you know the truth.

My man! :word: EDIT: This may be a positive album about ROTM, which I'm really looking forward to, but its an obvious potshot at Will.

As I said, I dont think it is his last album, but if it is, fair play to the man. Its better to go out on top, and Lost & Found got him huge respect in the industry. As Dawg said, he has nothing left to prove in the industry. If he does retire now, he's retired gracefully and with a lot of respect. Plus, I know we may be upset that he's possibly quitting, but really, is it necessary? Its not our life, its not our decisions, as fans we should support Will in whatever he does. I dont want him to quit music myself, but all these potshots at him since this video was shown isnt needed. Its selfish to get angry at an artist because they dont do what you want them to. And in the video it wasnt as serious as previous times, and he's come back from them. 95 he said it and we've had 4 albums since then. I believe he said something along the same lines in 2001 period, we've had 2 albums and the Greatest Hits since then. Plus he said it with a big grin on his face and was gonna say something else before another reporter asked a question about directing. So we dont actually know the full story. It may seem pretty bleak, but I for one, am staying positive.

I doubt its the end, after all, he made similar comments before. If it is, I'm fulfilled with the memories he and Jeff gave us over the past 20 years.

I dont think we have anything to worry about, Lost & Found got him a lot of succes and respect, especially around the time of the whole Bow Wow situation. That showed Will is still a prominant figure in hop hop and in the mind of old school heads. I do think it needs to be more regular, but if he's dabbling in more movies, we just have to sit tight until the next album drops, which is hopefully a JJFP album. It'd be cool if he did some guestspots on other artists albums and stuff, but hey, the way I see it is, I waited 3 years for Lost & Found since the dissapointment of Born To Reign, I coped and Lost & Found was well worth the wait. If the same happens with the next album, I'm cool with that. Hip hop knows who JJFP are.

I think the running and reading speech was based on the mentallity you need to uphold before you can try to be successful in any field. Because you need to be focused to try and reach a goal, and you need to have the belief that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Obviously there will be some kind of luck instated when anything happens in life, but generally, nothing is handed to you in life. So you need to have a good attitude and a good mentallity to begin with. It's easier to give up than it is to keep going, so if you remain focused on that and you eventually get that piece of luck or a break, you can know deep down that you've earned it. That was my take on it anyway.

I love your entusiasm on this movie :lolsign: I went with its not bad. Basically because it has humours parts in it, but as a whole itself, its not very good. Its not my least favourite film either though. Although thought provoking and very well performed, Six Degrees and Where The Day Takes You bore me. I have trouble staying awake when I watch those 2 movies.
