50 Cent - Material Girl 2000 It's so sad when guys that got some talent put it to waste.

Eminem "Encore" Ja Rule "R.U.L.E" The Comparsion
mfuqua23 replied to J-o-e's topic in Caught in the Middle
Really. That's funny. Were they the edited versions? Sometimes people do that if it's not labeled properly. I thought about getting Ja's album, but I downloaded one song, and it turned me off. I was like, I can be happy wit him being on the radio. And I don't listen to the radio much. Besides I already got the hit song New York. Sooner or later, it will pass. Hey Joe, I'm not criticizing ya views. It's just that when U look at this stuff in ya "own" bigger picture, u laugh at it. Ja's just not my style of listening pleasure. Neither is Eminem. -
50 Cent - That Ain't Gangsta from the Power of The Dollar. 50 was better than what he is now.
-
Whoa. That's so cool. What artists are on those labels? I recognize the Virgin, but I don't recognize the Relentless.

What a wonderful holiday filled gift. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY
-
I heard of that group from my brother, but when told me, he said they were new. He told me they're almost like a Tribe Called Quest.
-
I was gonna burn it as well. I think it should support the site too. (but lets wait a lil longer for how everybody's song production is going.)
-
Yeah, I had a couple more spots where I would've adlibed, but I feel asleep in the middle of recording (or so U could say). I added the echo and took out the static, so it does sound so much like a room recording. Thanks y'all for the feedback. Glad this got the support to be on the album. Peace! btw, fan4ever, R we gonna sell this cd or whatever? Like copy all the songs to our computer and burn em; or sell it online to support the site. Hero1 said your the brains behind all this.

Petey Pablo - Didn't I wow!. This is tight again. I really liked this album. hey, y'all want something new to peep, check out my new one at my site.

Hey y'all. Here is the audio of "4 Us". Only thing is, it's just me. No Joe yet. He's still tryna get a mic as far as I know. Anyway, I recorded this like a week ago. I mixed it now and I felt pretty good about it. then I wasn't sure. Then I was like, yeah it'z cool that way. I actually "mixed" this one down instead of recording right outta the speakers. I sampled Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Pt. 2" for this. I'm tryna not to do that anymore. Wanna see how I do making my own beats. I guess y'all can show approval or disapproval over the song for the album of the JJFP Forum Community. So here it is... FuQ - 4 Us (Solo Version)
-
Man, I wish I knew this chat was happening. I would've loved to ask Talib for advice.
-
FuQ - 4 Us (no backround vocals yet) it'z mixed down right, but I'm beginning to think I should re-do it.
-
J-o-e - yeah, aight cool. I figured I'd practice the flow this week. I got it down tho. Just maybe I'll get a better feel and a chorus will come to me. Hero1 - thanks. I thought so too. I really wanted 2 capture the right feelings I had about hip hop and what it is today.
-
Nah. That'z only the real big deal of the verse. It will be a different kind of collab. Hot 4 sure tho. btw, ya rappin the 2nd part of the song. If U have the orginal, listen 2 where Havoc (i think) starts his. Hopefully ya verse ends where it'z suppose 2 so we can work the chorus.
-
It may be legit. I remember I saw Martin Lawerence on Jay Leno and he rapped. It was kinda cool. It was when they were promoting Bad Boys II. The other info on the site might help. Maybe someone should such for the music.
-
The only one I'd argue no problem is Jay-Z's Blueprint.
-
If that'z where ya comin from, it'z cool. Just don't get it twisted wit that "City of Ones". That'z a term for people from my spot. (well, it'z gonna be once they hear it) Plus that'z US dollar bills. UK's currency is in pounds and such if I'm not mistaken. Just a suggestion. Change that 'city of ones'.... to something like "Any ground where hip hop artists jus chill/ Get a thrill without no pill, makes me pure ill/" Other than that, U know how U wanna express yourself.
-
That may just be the thing within the next few years. Maybe 5 years from now.
-
If that'z the case, I can vouche 4 U on that. Ok, I have the G-Unit album. I downloaded 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die. I have some Jay-Z. I have Cash Money's Baller Blockin. I have some Ludacris. I habe some Ja Rule. Some of that stuff has it'z major appeal to people. I'm not even gonna front. When 50 first came out. (i heard him on this mixtape) Then saw the video for "Wanksta". 50 wasn't my fav. rapper, but he was cool. Jay-Z started wit his street/hustle kind of talk. Reasonable Doubt was his big one, then after that. Downhill (to some). But Jay-Z ruled much of 2000-2001. Ja had his before he made it. Then everybody looked at him as fake thug this and that. to be honest, to think of how some artists are, both good & bad, is hard to do because I haven't listen to those in awhile. I hardly do tho. But I guess if the beats sound good, your in. Lyrics can take 5 quick minutes and there U have it. Even in the 50s-70s. All those songs back then could've been performed by anyone. But I think those who had been selected for them, couldn't have done it better. If a change is really going to be made in hip hop. Or adjustment if U want to call it that. It's gonna have to be someone young, like in there teens maybe. And there lyrics will be reality honest to who they are. Like "this is all I have, and here's me expressing what I can give." Sure, we had Bow Wow and Romeo and such, but their locked in that certain kind of formula. Wit them, it's a beat and cuteness. Then your in. Kris Kross was real hip hop weren't they? Even at that young age. I understand entirely where bigted is comin from. I hate it we people are so into a real bad image of hip hop. But what really gets me is how they act because of it. And lambertj3, I understand where he's comin from. One night, I caught 50 Cent and G-Unit on the Howard Stern Show. And I tried to understand why they rap the way they do. Somewhat I could, but really I couldn't. That's just the way it is for them. They got girls that don't mind being called b****es. U could say they rap "gangsta gimmick". But it's their "hood talk". Their not too diverse in there music. It all follows around the same kind of emotion. It's almost like that famous question "Which came 1st, the chicken or the egg?" Well "which came 1st, the bad rap or kids act?"

The only reason I'd go 2 Jive is 2 knock some sense into Britney (if U know what I mean) :kekeke: Just a lil joke. Even Mobb Deep went 2 Jive 4 Britney "I'm tryna grip Britney, so I made Jive sign me..." anyway. It'z hard wit that what if. R U lookin at it like it wouldn't have got promotion like it did. I think the sound would kinda be different if it was a JJFP track.
-
Hmm. I never saw all the JJFP videos. Mostly Will's solo stuff. I was too young 2 catch them other videos. Only ones I've seen of JJFP was Summertime and Parents Just Don't Understand. But I'd have 2 say. Nightmare On My Street. I would have loved to seen that aired. I think "Twinkle Twinkle" would be a cool video. The pictures would follow right along wit the lyrics. That and "Ring My Bell".
-
I read this one a lil more closely now. Real specific. Kinda detailed events. U know how U said U rapped verses 2 ya friends and they liked em, what did they think of this one?
-
hey y'all. Been a while since I did this. This is my verse 4 the song "4 Us" by me & Joe. It'z what hip hop means 2 us. Not sure bout the chorus yet. Have 2 listen 2 the beat again. Anyway, here's my verse. And we're gonna sample Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones Pt. 2". Nov. 9, 2004 (8:01 a.m.) - Nov. 12, 2004 (8:07 p.m.) [this * means where I continued. This was really a 2 day rhyme] From the USA to UK, it'z easy to cross the Atlantic But it's more sharks in my country, struggle the way I manage They wanna damage rap, now how U figure that Be aware of where I'm goin, check where I'm comin at In it for more than gettin major sales outta stores Don't mind the power in my pockets that's easy to be tore Feel the reign of my pain in the game Can't contain when I come wit it *I gone too specific, but I rap nothing like mainstream gimmicks Right now I'm local, like area code digits I don't lie, I just try to find mine Put it down right wit the pen between the lines Grow up wit the rhyme and issues of the time Love it and I want to, but can't stay behind Not blind wit ice, that's not even 1/8th of my life Unless U count tthe liquids I drink to get cold Help me chill to the pressures that I always deal wit Rather desinagrate, I don't wanna conceal it like a dangerous weapon, I got a dangerous mind Put it in a paradise, that's real hard to find Not a relax, just a temporary getaway Use to dat old 24-7, but I get a day Get a say as the speaker thru the bass of their speaker Words that'll reach em, like a volume deeper Wit rapper/actor, give him the emmy I'm rapper/be smart, give me the MC Make sure I be what hip hop's suppose to Not like rappers that say they will, and don't come close to To the cultural movement To anybody wit the qualities to actually do it I'm from the 'City of Ones' Named after that dead president, George Washington Still, we unite nations wit a musical trust Hip hop still stands, but this the meaning 4 Us _________________________________________ That'z all it is 4 me. Then it's the chorus. Then Joe's verse. Then chorus. Then our end out. I made a nickname 4 my town. City of Ones. The One Dollar Bill in the US has George Washington on it. And our city is named Washington. So... City of Ones. :switch: I hope 2 get real good. Will i mean productive feedback on this cuz it will be on the album. So let me know what y'all think.
