Nas Interview... Monday - August 16, 2004 J-23 In an interview with The Source for their new issue (which he appears on the cover), Nas spoke on several issues sure to create some chatter. The big news is that he has committed to his final album on Columbia (under his current contract at least), will be produced entirely by DJ Premier. Damn. He also talked about 9th Wonder and “God’s Stepson” saying that “he had some good beats on there, I’d like to work with him.” There will be song on “Streets Disciple” called “Nazareth Savage,” which is a concept track in which his id battles his ego. Considering Nas’ execution of concept tracks in the past, not to mention the concept itself, this could be a classic joint. Also bound to get some attention is some remarks concerning his dedication to his career. In regards to “The Lost Tapes” he said “’The Lost Tapes’ was put together by my A&R at the time. The put songs on and I cared less, just give me my check and keep it movin’ from hiphopdx.com I thought this was an interesting story 2 post becuz this is Nas's last album on Columbia. Just like Will's whose had his last album 'Big Willie Style' on Columbia. (if wrong correct me) or was it B2R. So where's Nas gonna go after this U think? U think he'll renew his contract, or find a new label? :dunno:

Well that fool was that fool. Somehow his name changed in this thread.
As a fan of BOTH that fool and Will Smith, I think that fool is a real threat to Will, everyone knows that that fool's album will sell by the bucketload, and sell more than Will's album, because its that fool.
No doubt that fool will sell more than Will. But what'z gonna stop me from getting Will's album? Hmm? I have 2 think about that. I got that feeling of "doin big things". Several movies, on soundtrack, and an album. Standing O  If this album rocks every house I pass, and people R mad they're listening 2 what they R and not my dope Will Smith CD, .... I simply do this... :lookhehe: :what:

Yeah, it is cool 2 listen 2. But I kinda get tired of their lyrical flavor. Some would say their tasteless tho. Like the concepts they had on the album, they took the lyrics 2 far wit it. I just can't really listen 2 it easily, unless I'm kinda careless of it. But they got that "gangsta" image I guess.

I had trouble figuring it out, but it dawn'd on my later. It means. Shut The F*** Up ...and I think it was at U. cuz 3:41 and they 3:44. :dunno:

I think maybe it'z just his quote 4 the day. I seen that quite a few times. DM in an AM PMS? Chill man.

He didn't say he had a prob wit black people being cool. He just meant, they (they crowd he's around) buy em 2 imitate and wanna be like that. And all this and that. 2 be honest, I would never say I certain kind of people R cool. (unless I was a comedian wit some really good jokes) I don't really feel a lot of people around me R cool. The excuse that I hear about these "bad" albums selling so much, is cuz "that'z all there is 2 buy into." Hello? Say your money. Duh! I don't see how people do that. My sis got me G-Unit's Beg 4 Mercy. One day I looked at it, but didn't buy it. I wasn't really into G-Unit, but I listened 2 the album. It was cool 4 a while. Hip hop is a worldwide thing now. And it'z not all in English. And y'all watch, we're gonna be just like our parent (refering 2 mine). We'll have our few favorite artists/albums. But more then our parents, cuz we got cds. And be tellin the next young generation, how music was better "back in the day". Now they do this and that, and blah blah blah.

I still gotta see BB2. U know, Will & Martin should do some other project 2gether if they don't do a BB3. Their so funny 2gether. They had great chemistry on Bad Boys.

mfuqua23 replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Jagged Edge is one of my fav groups. Those guys have S.K.I.L.L.Z.!! SWV waz nice 2, i've hear rumors for months that they have reunited 4 a new album. Let's hope it's true.
Yeah, they do. A lot have said they haven't had a good album since JE Heartbreak. When I got 'Hard', I played it all the time. Now I can't really listen 2 it. Funny thing, I brought JE's 1st 2 albums, and listened 2 em one good time. Not even. I made my own Best of Jagged Edge mix in a day. Gotz all da hits and singles, and a couple unreleased. I still gotta make my own fav. Yeah, I heard the news of SWV wit a new album. But they said late 2004. So hopefully by December. Cuz after that, it'z 2005. But what a great Christmas present.
just like they didn't understand "So Fresh."
I got that song the other day. The 1st time I played it, I was like "What is this?" After that, I've loved it. The only thing I don't really like about it is how Will is in the beginning. He sounds too old. Like he's ancient hip hop.

Maybe she 4got she's a potna. :dunno:
-
Now that'z a fruit worth throwing. isn't it Mr. Willie Smith???
-
A favorite group. Ones I could always listen to, looking 4 anything new they put out wit no hesitation 2 get it if it'z worth it, and it usually is. Well... SWV Jagged Edge I don't have a fav. rap group but I like alot of different ones from time 2 time.

Prince - I might put this up on soundclick. I certainly have plenty 2 choose from. bigted - actually I think I rap about this part of my past too much. But I always seem 2 present it in a variation. I think this is my best one. I don't know if U can say alot R fake. They just all seem 2 be cut from the same mold. Or they advance so much in the industry, they 4get where they came from. J-o-e - even if I was or tried 2 be, it be so hard. My rap career would be over b4 it even started. Some of my older raps almost make me seem like that, and I don't feel those as much. But I never took it so far, I would be like, this is SO not me. I feel better being successful by being myself. Hero1 - yeah. I rapped it back a bit last nite. I really feel I can grab my audience wit this one.
-
I don't really know if I can compare. Whose MH? MArcus Houston? :dunno:
-
I agree wit those three performances. It'z so funny when we got hit wit "the lil white girl. Britney, Christina, Mandy, and Jessica. No one took note of Jessica much. And outta the 3, she's the best cuz she actually sings. Yeah, Christina does too. But Jessica doesn't have 2 sell herself like Christina is now.
-
I can see where this is going. 50 is better than ..... That'z so funny. I gonna go a tip and say Unanimous.

Nah. His album ain't out til Aug.24th. Nas comes out too. I love Nas (have all his albums), but I think I'll get Talib's 1st. I like "Around My Way" feat. John Legend Live better.
