  1. There really is no telling what Pac would do or how he would be. We can only really speculate. I've heard enough Pac. I'll just enjoy what I have. The postumous material ended for me at 'Better Dayz'. No Live Pac, no DR Remixes, no Loyal to the Game. The original that was on the Above The Rim soundtrack is perfect. I'll still check some of the songs out via downloads but that's it.
  2. Emotions and diction are what really did it for me. Concept actually shocked me a lil.
  3. Aziatic was back in like 2001 or so. The song ash trey is talkin about will probably be on a mixtape or his next cd. And how can you not tear it up to such a Just Blaze beat. I myself can't help it these past few days. :lolsign:
  4. K-Ci's Album is bangin'! Michael Jackson-Beat It Yeah, I came across it looking for 2006 stuff. I was gonna check more of it out later today. The few reviews I've seen thus far have been good. Kel Spencer - I'm Wanted
  5. This is the best answer in the whole post. All this talk, talk talk, argue argue argue. Will has listened to NWA "F*** The Police" for goodness sakes. And says "That's what everybody felt in their hearts". Of course, how much creditibility does Will stand to make supporting NWA. And as I was skimming thru what people said, I disagree with Ted on how a certain rapper raps, then they will make it. Lie to get what you want? Would anybody listen to me if I said I got shot 10 times? One more than 50, and I'm only 20 years old. haha I would've said more, but there's no need to argue on such a factual topic. ---------------------- (The following is a bigted edit): What the world? Be anorexic to be like Britney or Beyonce?!? I have yet to see an anorexic girl that has a booty like B. I think the celebs you're looking for are Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan (according to whoever enjoys talking about them) If any image was allowed in the music industry, the 1000s that do it everyday would stand to make it. I guess then it would be talent, chance, and persistence, huh? Let them have their little certain image. Somebody is bound to break that plane. What artist hasn't lived up to the image and gotten criticized even when the music was good? Those people that say Hip Hop is dead, I can stand by saying they are wrong now, because I think they're lookin at it at the business aspect. The way business used to do for Hip Hop. Now look at it, is it dead or is it changing just to something bad (according to the real Hip Hop heads)?
  6. Will: I don't believe this! Doesn't anyboy care what we want?!? Geoffrey (walking by): .......No I know it must feel like that sometimes.
  7. Come on you guys. Look at where Hip Hop has been heading. We need to take in slow in honoring. If we do it too fast, we'll run out of people to honor. VH1 has done a fairly good job as to explaining why someone has been honored in each show. You've got to think about who's really set the milestones for Hip Hop as a whole.
  8. All I was saying was criticizing Jay-Z wouldn't be right when others do the same thing. If Jay-Z was to do a Gatorade commercial, I'd like to see him sitting in the stands watchin a Nets game (cuz that's the team he owns right?) and then starts rappin while all kind of action is goin' on. Obviously, there is a good and bad of the commercialism of Hip Hop.
  9. K-Ci feat. Al B Sure & Aaron Hall - Much Too Soon (My Book - 2006)
  10. Well, Mos Def or Q-Tip (can't remember which) has done the same thing. I'm sure there was mixed reactions. Everybody knows Jay-Z for partying, even in his videos. How about Tupac & Snoop in a alcohol commercial back in like '95-96? I know it's not necessarily right to excuse Jay-Z, but come on.
  11. It was a good show. I liked the new song Rakim performed. Sounded great. Wu-Tang was awesome, I can understand your anticipation Turntable. I was surprised to see Diddy rockin' a Beastie Boys song. He actually sounded better than his own raps. Even tho Ice Cube did his new material, I think his performance was the best of the night. Between him, MC Lyte, and Wu Tang.
  12. I'm glad I'm learning what I need to in my tax class.
  13. Ted, do you like repeating yourself? haha, jeez. Anyway, I got both songs now. It's so ironic, my bro and I were talkin bout PE a couple days ago.
  14. Thanks y'all. And MissAshley, I did understand. You're not as crazy as you think. haha.
  15. What is the Public Enemy sample? Is it the same title? I like the song. It's very impressive. For some reason, I think I was thinking of N2Deep's "Back At The Hotel". I 1st saw and heard pieces of this song on a commercial during the NFL's Bears vs Cardinals game.
  16. Do I sense an Egos battle a brewin'? And Tinus, where'd u find that track? Is it new?
  17. A half? now how does that work.
  18. A bit of people have already seen these, but they won't mind seeing them again.
  19. You guys are cruel. If Lerk ever followed thru with the JJFP religion and got us all somehow to follow, nearly half of us would be "stoned to death" aka disced to death (where the most awful cds that go against our JJFP-ness are thrown at us), or Fresh Prince ear torture, where your ears are stretched to look like Will's, but only for a split second, then they are gone. Imagine the rules all based on JJFP song titles. We don't wanna have to relive the Peaching Incident in it's fullest.
  20. I've got an idea Julie. Why don't you tell him that his dog or whatever has a condition that can only be cured by his owner asking you out. That could be a nice slip in.
  21. "It hurts to know there’s not a spot for me in your heart Even thought I have a spot for you, it tears me apart" - Damn! You're killin me Wes. "You gotta hope for the best but prepare for the worst For 18 years I was in search of my first" - How long is too long in looking for love? A series of us will never know. It's 20 for me, and still counting. "Even after all this drama and anger there’s still that one final dagger It’s just knowing the very fact that I can’t have her" - That was almost like modern day Shakespeare of an ending. I'm so glad I read this. Seriously. I mean, it reminds of a pain that I'll probably never fully overcome when I look back, but I can at least move on. You can't go wrong with straight emotion. Yo Wes, is it already if I copy this handwritten in my book of poems by myself and a selection of other people. It's seriously so deep and fits me to a T. Seriously, thanks for even having the courage to share that.
  22. Name: Michael Fuqua Age: 20 Location: Washington, PA JJFP Fan Since: 1998 Job: Student (Major: Accounting)/Artist
  23. I need some advice, and it needs to stick in my mind. With there being so many artists (good and bad), from the lowest of the nobodys to the #1 mainstream artists, how to keep your confidence and all things of that sorts maintained, even when it all seems pointless??? I battle this often, which is why I think I'm not doing as good or as much as I should.
  24. I've got an idea, we could have a "rhyme rumble". All six opponents rap, then we have multiple votes. The 2 with the least amount is eliminated. Then we have two 1 on 1 rounds, then the final. No byes, 3 beats, everybody rhymes, one person wins.
