- Has Jeff said anything about your Heratre company? - Did he mention any artists he's going/wants to work with in the near future? - Has he expressed any concerns or commented on the JJFP religion? - Did you say anything to him about a "legit" couple artists/producers on the board? - What's he think of the JJFP podcasts? - Is he going to wear your 'limited edition' JJFP shirt? - Did he say anything about hanging with you on the Austrailian Outback?

What's everybody's thoughts on the "Weekly Bread" after so long into it? Reading it has helped restored some of my faith in religion and the realisms of the world. Some of them are a good quick insight and others are exactly what I needed to hear or need help with.

The Game Teams With Nas And Mary J On His New LP
mfuqua23 replied to Turntable's topic in Caught in the Middle
Game's 1st album was fair but after a while it got repetitive within songs. I hope this album will be a lot better in the sense lyrically and in context. -
I might regret this a lil bit, but I'm in.

The forum has gained and lost some of it's luster. This could be a hype thing if a host of members was serious. I could get crazy ideas for this thing too. The hopes of this album I guess will never be.

Whitehead Brothers - Your Love Is A 187 Wow, this song is a bit different that I remember it back in 2nd grade. It's all coming back tho. I had no idea who did this song. They don't make R&B like this anymore.

I seen a commercial last nite that Alfonso (Carlton) is going to be on that show HiJinks or whatever it's called where they trick kids. There was a clip of him flying thru the air on a dirt bike. I forget when the show airs, but I thought this was so interesting news.

Even with all that Ted, you can't necessarily jump to 50's side like that. There's that whole deal that he didn't actually write his book. And even if he did, whenever if ever I'd listen to his music, maybe the reason why he said what he said is understood, but that may not necessarily change the fact that I'd be into his music. In all honesty, I liked half of "The Massacre". Whether it be for production or decent lyrics. Not everybody is going to turn around and be into somebody. What artists have totally flipped their career in how they presented themselves? More than likely, very few. And Ted, think about this. You were curious and checked out 50's book. Why? You know why. It's kinda like when conscious artists criticize the commercial pop artists. They can only say so much without knowing what's going on. So they are bound to tune in or continuously overhear things. And things that 50 said makes sense.

There's nothing wrong with being a follower. It's just a matter of who you're following.

I understand what your saying Turntable, but that doesn't really make it right. These same dudes could be selling drugs and destroying minds just as easy. Sure, we can "Die Trying", but it doesn't necessarily have to be "Get Rich". There's that triple threat trap of 'drugs, basketball, and rap'. I've been effected by all 3 in some way, but that's another story. Of course it's not always that easy to just get an education. It's easy to turn it away tho, and that seems to be what people are doing. In an early interview I read that Pac did, he was fairly success as a rap artist, but even he know not everybody should do that because there is better things to do. I think that goes back to Hip Hop being a lifestyle, and not just a business. You gotta figure, hundreds of people were involve in hip hop even before someone came to the realization "hey, we can make money off this". So now, the numbers are overwhelming because of that. Earn millions for doing "gangsta stuff"? Pretty much like being in a movie like 'Scarface' or 'Gangsters of New York'. In real life, if somebody stops you with a gangsta pose with a gun in your face, your not going to be in awe, you'll more than likely be in fear. It's seems hard to understand the fascination. Just watch, in another 5-10 years, let's see what the likes of these guys will be saying. Matter fact, look at Ice T and Ice Cube. Even Too Short. And compare them to these new age gangsta guys in their future. There will be a difference. (*I didn't edit but one word*)

I cant help it, I need to show love to Kanye
mfuqua23 replied to Turntable's topic in Caught in the Middle
Your venting with guts. Kanye "Opposite of East" has a fair respectable career sheet. Some may not agree with the way he's done some things. He's helped bring amongst an overall picture of hip hop that tended to be overlooked with noses turned. -

Hey Turntable, your progressively improving, so I see nothing wrong with each rhyme you write. "Still suckas keep fronting, wanna be hard Mc`s But when it comes on substance, they aint got **** on me" - haha, that was good one. "So keep that in mind, next to you write a rhyme Peopel need you, & not only in the good times." - Very very nice ending. There's quite a significance in what you said there. Your style will adjust to how you want it along with improvements. About the chorus, I think you should scrap the last two lines, and make up your own that discuss "Balance" a bit.
