  1. "She was soaking up in the sun, the way that she bathes Looked right at me, licked her finger then waved" - oooo the image. I hate you Joe. :lolsign: "When I got there, she was in a red dress, ready to impress Talking to another guy, I saw that this was a test"- I liked this bit. Nicely written Joe. Don't see this kinda topic outta you too often.
  2. From the previews, Gnarls Barkley looked like they tore it up. Knowing MTV, they'll show it plenty of times. Fre$h C & Amerie - "All I Need" (The Fresh Movement)
  3. For those of you wondering why Lerkot looks so familar, he was actually an extra in the movie "Weekend at Bernie's". Add a mustache, and dance to the music dead man. :lolsign:
  4. I know it was like 5 of us or something. I think you got em all right. It might as well be Joe seeing as how he's gettin ready to record. All 5 of us is able to and/or have been. I might rewrite mine, but it's still up to decent par.
  5. Looks like you expanded that 10 track Illmatic hopefully into 12. Hopefully, you'll put out effective songs, whether it be a goal or simple fun. You know, whatever happened to that "Pass The Mic" collab we was suppose to do?
  6. I think this would be better as a live performance song that you'd do on tours, and we could really witness your aggressiveness on the mic. The production is cool and right for the track. How you meet this Mickey Damager?
  7. I wonder what would happen if somebody did black on black, white on white or drunk on drunk :lolsign:
  8. Mos Def - Umi Says (Instrumental) Wow, this is really smooth.
  9. I really liked the 1st and 3rd verse. I liked how you referenced different MCs and their song titles. Nice job Trey.
  10. Yo, I'm a call it how I see it Overfeed of the game, might just turn it bulimic I been rockin out rhymes outside the lines Bout do to like my pen authorize, get inside the lines of the divine business, that turn minds senseless to their capacity existence, got bad penmanship, get it? How much more you want of an entreprenuer? Reality show mixtapes, the next thing comin outta the door but even the hood scripts, with full clips, behind the scenes, you'll soon see Your at fault just the same, not bein' want you truly want to be Ladies flaunt it for free, yet locked down in image imprisionment Sole purpose to satisfy man's sorry piece of equipment They need to quit bein' video hoes Used to turn me on for a minute but now I'm sayin' no more The top ten would be abstract, take away the jewels and cadillacs You want the source of the problem, I'm a show you where it's at The problem's not the successes, the problem is the message Betcha I'll catch heat for who I'm gonna reference The "Dirty South" lived up to it's name and dirtied up the game Don't worry, you're only gettin' part of the blame It's like they're sayin' another consci is whinin' again Been sayin' the **** for years, but what we need to do is smack the taste outta they fans/ We need a new balance with a new breed cuz we're sayin the same things that our parents said when we wasn't listenin'/ Establish credibility and keep my flow drenchin' for voices alike and ears that like hearin' my rhymes representin' A young artist stressin', I got books that's documentin' my hate, love, predictions, creative episodes of fiction If my rhymes was simplistic, I'd be on the playlists and the #1 man with millions of fans That's a subconscious power, every human being with they could devour But some minds is stronger or they heart just won't allow it I realize the styles of the culture and cliques But some of the things you wanna wear, it just looks stupid You ain't got my nerves rackin' or jealous from ya stackin' See the look in ya honey's eyes, she still desire the passion that you don't give her, with every delivery comes a tip but I require more than ya 15% The commissions for my visions can't be calculated so I need to find alternate routes for my paper chasin' Livin for and find a way to survive, we got the floor but they built walls and ceiling, got us trapped to uphold the law Can't handle our whys and what fors Make room for our views as we blow down the door
  11. I think for the title of the song, the lyrics need more substance.
  12. This should be fun. I won't expect anything outta Kel tho. This will sure be a fun forum for him to venture into in his free time. (I'm sure he's a busy guy) PLus, I think it'll be funny if he gets in an argument with bigted or maxfly.
  13. Jean Grae - The Wall (This Week - 2004)
  14. Ice Cube is back and is the one who truly brought back the west. He said he wanted to make it hip hop that made you feel good. And that's what we've honestly been missing; how the music makes us feel when we hear it. I heard the whole album and it's one of Ice Cube's finest works. He mixed everything from his career it seems and input the current sound. Cube's a righteous gangsta rap artist. Even he knows there is more to gangsta rap that sex and money. I think this album is grammy nominee material. He and Will seem a bit alike yet rock the mic different.
  15. Papoose - Flashback Real nice sample of Marvin Gaye
  16. Sticky Fingaz was Moesha bf? I thought it was always Fredro Star. I'm positive that's who it was. Not unless Sticky was on some episodes as well.
  17. I'd say he reviewed your cd righteously. He could've maybe included a sample line or two from a song. The bigger picture I think is the fact you were even acknowledged. You said it yourself, "present yourself seriously and others will take you seriously." One thing I wonder about is where the 'Heavy Beats' label comes from. Is that from your production team?
  18. Hmm. Has Sticky Fingaz done any previous acting. I know his partner Fredro Starr has a bit under his belt. This DMX series has me pondering now. Arizona? DMX? An interesting combination. I think the Chappelle Show's lost episodes is going to be lacking a lot. Seems like Comedy Central last chance to milk Dave for revenue.
  19. That's not an a pic of a painting in Schnazz's avatar. It's actually 5 year fungus of his left toenail.
  20. Your a programmer and I'm not. When it comes to "pro-gram-ming" with such a thing, I have no idea. So in reading this, I have no idea. And that means it's good.
  21. My lumps? :hmm: Where's Uncle Phil when you need him? Will: Uncle Phil can understand, he a man, he lumpy.
  22. What beats in your opinion are hot in 2006, but got the wrong rapper over it or whatever? And yeah, I feel ya on the Kanye giving his beats to only the quality artists. Well, moreso than not. And to think just a few years ago, Kanye was one of the hungerest producers not yet on the mainstream.
