  1. That's ya word. That's ya word! Tell me something, was there ever a time you agreed with the media? (a legitimate time)
  2. "Lot of people just look at it like, you know tattoos, jewelry and those are just fads. It’s much deeper than that" - That's an awful statement. To think even that can be consider to be a definition of an MC. Even a bad one. Him and his whole crop of dumb posses don't get it. How can he even say he's like LL? "Oh, well the ladies love me". Come on. He's not even in the same league, little leaguers even as Ice Cube or Ice T. Bow Wow, look at your atmsophere, and take note of your attitude, and what you rap about. You don't come close. I realize everybody is going to be ignorant at something but that was a bit much. bigted - "He's a lot worse than Will" ... I know that's not what you truly meant, but you made it sound like Will is in fact bad.
  3. I just wanted to note that I read it all, and I have no idea. How long do you have before you be fully trained?
  4. I so wish this was an audio. I didn't recognize the name or idea until the line... "Suddenly, the two black men raise their fists in the air" - I can remember that picture so vividly, since the 1st time I saw it. "When he suddenly saw a panther, on Carlos shirt The friend said: then you still stay commited You still fight for the black power, yet today Carlos was quiet for a minute and answered calmly It aint a panther it is a puma" - A genious message. After reading that, I think I'm gonna research John Carlos for a minute.
  5. I wasn't serious with the yellow and orange stuff. I was jokingly referring to the same bit on "Deck The Halls", where Will and Ashley meet that art gallery guy and he expresses his opinon.
  6. All this is to me is comprehendable news. I'm not setting any spectations for Nas's albums, promotions or anything of the sort. He's always reinvented himself a bit on each album. Whatever Nas does is what Nas does. Label makes no difference, but in the sense of resources, it does. At the end of the day, I'm still a Nas fan.
  7. Are the Native Tongues still actively running? Or is the idea like totally dead?
  8. Since this forum is a good resource when it comes to music, I figured I could get a bit of help. Last couple days, I've been trying to look up "The Native Tongues". I wanted to find the full list and possible years in the group. Founders Afrika Baambataa A Tribe Called Quest Queen Latifah I know a couple of additions, but the bios I read said this group was no longer needed or the members got established and left it. Black Sheep Black Star (Talib Kweli + Mos Def) De La Soul I question the involvment, because it seems to me a group movement like this is very useful and needed in Hip Hop. It seemed to be clearly defined to me, yet I guess some didn't to hold to it. Some 30 emcees were involved and I wanted a full list. Any general info I can get on the Native Tongues would be very helpful.
  9. What makes me sick is the lyrics. "Girl, shake that laffy taffy, that laffy taffy." Now, we've all seen plenty of blinged out, ass shaking videos, but do you see any resemblance between the actual candy "Laffy Taffy" and a good looking woman's booty? That's one thing I can't understand. Willy Wonka would be ashamed. And Mickie D's man, "Promote our Big Mac in your songs." I laugh at this because "Parents Just Don't Understand" is a very noteworthy song in Hip Hop. Can anyone recall the lines "We ordered two big macs and two large fries."? Will should get paid for that. :lolsign:
  10. I actually seen a couple of people I went to school with do it the way RT does it. However, it took him (one I recorded with) a bit to get it down with the beat we used. So it's harder. I think your verse is of the mid-caliber of the last few recent battles back in '04-'05. That's just a bit of an opening tho.
  11. Like the last line of the song says, "Realisation" hits once it's noted that the letter was addressed to Roberto Jr. That's quite a twisting story.
  12. Yep. I read it in a VIBE Magazine where they was interviewed, and that came up. I guess it's true. It may have been a one night stand kinda thing. Not sure.
  13. Nice one. And you do in fact look psycho, but in good way. :lolsign:
  14. I think the uses of reds is a lil bit overdone. Why not try tangible yellows and majestic oranges? It would make your cover a very deep cover and a very important cover. :lolsign: But seriously, I thought the uses of reds was a bit much and overmatched the photo. Other than that, it was very cool. Better than anything I could've every done.
  15. That's cool. Is doing stuff with "The stars" the in thing now when it comes to tv. Dancing, skating, what will they think up next? Singing with The Stars, Playing with the Stars? (sports or the other thing)
  16. So that track has a nu metal feel then? For me, nu metal (Linkin Park stylee) is the perfect bridge between hip-hop and metal. Awesome if they can do it right (Jay Z and Linkin Park slaughtered their songs on their collab album in my opinion). The '80s Metallica stuff like their "Master of Puppets" album is awesome, though I've not really given their newer stuff a fair chance so yeah, I've not heard this track. Which album is it from? Currently; AC/DC - "Back in Black" It's from the Biker Boyz Soundtrack. That's what it said when I downloaded it.
  17. I'd have to listen to L+F again, but it seemed like a diss cuz he imitated 50's flow on a song for a sec. I thought it was funny.
  18. Will any of these guys be on your mixtape with you? Baby D CJ C Dawg Wild Child
  19. Hate to burst y'alls bubble, but her and Prodigy of Mobb Deep got something goin' on.
  20. Yes, he did. Eminem, 50 Cent, Lost emcees, Wendy Williams, Larry Elder. Ted, I think you've won the award for "Most Consecutive Edited Posts".
  21. Ja Rule & Metallica - We Did It Again :hmm: I think Ja sounds a bit better as a rap rocker, than an R&B rapper. :lolsign: Rock on dude!!! whoa...
  22. I really liked his definition of a producer. I thought it was funny how he said Jill recorded in a small room, yet others spend billions of dollars. I am just amazed at this interview. Even BET was shaking their heads at Jeff? Wow! Jeff is such a great guy. Anybody who works with him should consider it an honor. What song did he produce for Lil Kim?
