You'd probably have to do some serious searching for both sides. It sounds like an amazing idea. What exactly is "The Gray Album"? You should probably try Danger's myspace. I think it's doom. I have Hendrix's "Watchtower" track, and the only reason I made of a loop of that beat for myself was becuz of how I heard the opening on "Tupac: Ressurrection". I thought it would sound nice to rap over. What make you think of Mos Def + Jimi Hendrix as a combination?

I seriously think it will happen. In the worst case scenario, they would re-release all of JJFP's albums remastered and maybe a lil remix.

Podcast Recording Sunday (tomorrow) 5pm US/10pm UK

I think I might get in on this for a change. I got some interesting points to make. -
I'm listening L+F as I speak. When Will said that line about Wendy Williams and said he'd buy her radio station, I began thinking if he really did that. What Rules and Regulations are there when it comes to radio? Will could buy a radio station, and have it run all that Hip Hop that commercial blind spectators never see. I really think that would be a start to truly a good thing. It would get Hip Hop in a better stance.

Lost And Found Appreciation Thread
mfuqua23 replied to Turntable's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I actauly like that. Dont know why.. I do too. I guess because of watchin' the episode where Will pawns Ashley's violin "Bang The Drum, Ashley". It taught me to enjoy classical music and truly appreciate the violin... SIKE!!!!!!! I love L&F. It's so great. I love lookin at the back of the case and listening to Will rap. I swear it looks as if it's that exact track he's spittin. btw, if anybody wanted my looped version of "Lost + Found" let me know, cuz I made it and it sounds dope. -

When I saw Joe's rhyme scheme, I knew it was trouble. He still could've attacked better. His verse was like Will vs Helena. He just couldn't hit her, becuz she was a girl. Only difference was, she said "Ya Mama", but Joe didn't hear her and swing like a madman. Was that a good analogy?

Renegade had a nice verse, but Brakes just came together better for me. I liked how RT mixed short and long diss lines in his verse. Brakes just had more of an "ump!" to it.

How is he gonna drop DMX?!? That is a dumb ass move. Seriously. I mean, if DMX wasn't going to do any more music, then let him leave on his own; Don't shove him out the door. DMX is a talented guy. His lyrics may not blow you away, but they draw you in and he spits ever word with heart.

Nah. That's not so much as a diss as you think it is, if even at all. How much more educated can you get than Will Smith? I sure as heck can't see the better fit between Jay-Z and Will. Jay-Z is relevant with reality in his own right, just like Will is. Only thing I didn't like about that interview that you posted Ted was that Jay-Z didn't answer the questions str8 up. "Is Will the cream of the crop?" - all he had to say was yes or a surprising no. and then go on with what he said. I don't know why he couldn't just man up. You and Will make different music, so what's the deal with not being able to say he's the cream of the crop (his crop), and on BWS Will even said it himself. :lolsign:

John Cena really does have skills tho. Just becuz somebody got in the game that we don't really like, doesn't mean they didn't do their own stuff. Kobe did, and it was trash to a lot of people. Ron Artest has/will, Allen Iverson did it, Shaq did it. I'm sure they had some "poiners" or something. Paris Hilton is just a party nut. She must think making music is a fad, but it really isn't. I seriously wonder what a chick like that would wanna talk about? :hmm:
-
I think it was just a point to say, Will was so great at selling records, that I surpassed him. That's how big of an accomplishment I've had. He must have been referring to BWS.

I really don't like ghost writers. Diddy and them shouldn't be getting paid for something they can't do. I don't think ghost writing applies the same with R&B/Pop singers. Hip Hop lyrics is something anybody can do, whether you've got the voice for it or not. So it should be truly an individual effort. If say me and Ted was in a studio, and I suggested a line for him to use, I sure as heck didn't ghost write for him; nor would I take ridiculous credit for it. It's like your in school to learn but you get nothing out of it because you have someone else write your essay. If those guys who are ghost writing are only doing it for the money, I may understand where they're coming from, but it just shouldn't be constituted as righteous.

Then what are you going to say when something you hear Dre say sucks and KRS ghost wrote it? :lolsign: While we're on the subject of secrets, when I was kinda in this group, one of my partners was with this label called Sho-Gun or Sho-Nuff or however you pronounce the name (I don't know if it was an official signing deal or what), but when I talked to the guy who managed it, he was like "Should I tell him?" and he said he was Master P's cousin. I wasn't in awe or anything. I wish like "Really? That's cool." And somehow we got on the subject of some emcees. He said that Nas, Jay-Z, and I forget who else he said (I think Biggie) all went to the same high school. They're not really from where they say they're from. I don't know if such a thing is true, but if it were proven, it would seriously be a let down and disappointment. To this day, I think nothing of it. If SHG used just a couple lines, what is Caz's beef then? If they didn't ask him, then yeah, he's within his rights to be mad.

If it turns out to be big as it will when it comes out, imagine how effective it would've been around the time of 9-11. It's probably be the most powerful of all 9-11 references in Hip Hop.

Congrats. Thanks for sharing that with us.

I thought the Sugar Hill gang used Caz's rhyme entirely, just inserted their names in the rhymes?
-
The reason 50 didn't diss Jay back was because he felt Jay did him a favor when he mentioned his name.
-
I think if we read some of his points, we might end up agreeing with him on some of his scores/picks. And seeing Melle Mel at #1, (I will honestly say I know nothing about this artist.) somebody needs to show him this list becuz wasn't he the one complaining about everybody thinking Rakim was more than he probably should've been.
