  1. Thanks Schnazz. Hopefully, this will help me find the source of the problem between tonight and tomorrow.
  2. I don't know how or why it happened. Apparently, I went somewhere I wasn't suppose to. Now in my taskbar, I have a red circle with an X in it. I tried clicking on it and nothing happens. How do I get rid of this infection? Please help.
  3. That's real cool. For some reason, it seems like the Bay Area has some of the best overlooked talents. That's one of the main areas that brought the Hip Hop standards you've seen/heard or still hear/see today. From the small bits I heard on the home page, I bet my dad would like this album.
  4. I can't describe how i feel just with a pencil - nice expression It's a decently nice rhyme.
  5. No, I knew exactly what you were saying about the whole "Hip hop is hip hop and underground vs. commercial thing. I thought it was just not a guaranteed point. I don't doubt that "fear" is the case for some. Seems to be a whole bigger picture.
  6. I think that is bull. Seriously. Your the same guy that said Hip Hop is Hip Hop. Afraid to lose appeal? Well, it goes with the money. The commercial artist has more power in one sense. And the underground artist has more power in another. Commercial has got more eyes and ears (most of the time). You only lose appeal when people aren't infatuated with your material anymore. And since when does the underground artist need to care what people think? Fans should know enough to respect it. Making music comes before deciding to be underground, or trying to be a commercial success. If anything, underground artists just don't want to. Where they are at in their career is what they are comfortable with. Commercial artists don't what to because they are in it to stay in it.
  7. Hieroglyphics - Third Eye Vision album (1998) All I have to say is wow.
  8. Kinda cool. I like JJFP, and I like wrestling, so it's a winning combination.
  9. How bout download the sucka, and mail Rev Run the money. I bet he'd like that.
  10. Perhaps, my question was misinterpreted. Heck, I don't even understand it. :lolsign:. But I mean like, of course I know that. And I totally disagree with you ted about dumbing down being when somebody raps about guns, sex, drugs, murder, likewise. That's just a substance you and others would prefer not to hear. Basically dumbing down is making music that appeals to a younger audience - Not so my friend. We've all got ears (unless something happpens), which means we all got the right to listen. You either like the music or you don't like the music. I don't know if it's bitterness we feel when we see 50 Cent on our tv screens with that goofy, yet perfectly white Colgate smile (which I think he should advertise for), or for the fact that those of us that chose to reach farther back in Hip Hop's vault, see our "hip hop heroes" not at a level that those before us got to see(and some might have took for granted). I don't want to say give it time, but I honestly do believe that these current rappers (you should be able to see who they are) are going to, well, should realize one day that there is no guarantee in anything that's handed to you. I mean, you probably think... with that logic, then they're probably living their lives to the fullest. Not so. All this is, is a tease. I mean it would probably take someone to one minute be that "Word up, out here doin' it real big with my crew dada-dada-dada", and the next minute release about the whole background of how "the business" is run at the moment. Sometimes, I think about 'maybe I'm mispercepting the whole thing'. I wonder, "what is going on in that head of his?" And I stress the "his" because that is all you see. I notice Tim is like the only one that never really complains or debates, or rarely even comments on Hip Hop's state because he knows what he likes and he sticks to it. For those of us that do however, I can speak for myself, fear to venture into that comfortable world that Tim is in. And it's not all kick back and relax. I know there are other "underground heads" here like Tim, but not quite of his stature from what I can tell. And is it really Dr. Dre's fault or blueprint for the way rap is? I mean, do these guys say that "The Chronic" is a big part of what you hear in their music. It's like they don't even know what "creativity" is. We always argue Hip Hop's turning point, but what about R&B's? Everybody's got they're own quality of life; and life is what you make it.
  11. Really? By who? I want to check it out. Because when I searched for it (didn't know exactly how to find it), I didn't come across anything.
  12. Yo Scy, U look like all them other crazy boys we see in this world. I bet you do Mortal Kombat moves with your friends or try to make up some phony rap lingo. But it's all good. And Julie, that pic is funny. That's one thing I've never seen: some showing sickness in a picture. That lady coughing it looks like. Or maybe your just a stinky mummy out for revenge. :lolsign: And if it's a Halloween party, how come no one else is dressed up?
  13. FuQ - The Disc (burner version) 21 minutes long, and I screwed up on my mic level. I did the check check and thought I was good. Darn it!
  14. 1.But now she's gone and I wanna know why - Because of this line-->Nobody's with me, they all gone, I'd change #1 to "But now she's gone, like all the others, and I wanna know why". Not that the verse isn't kept together, but that could make it connect better. "Take your time, no, take your time for me Show me love, show me passion, let me see" - the feeling of the flow of these lines are dope "Please remember the time, it was crazy There's no doubt, I love you baby!" - real nice ending. A nice and easy verse. Pretty dope for someone who doesn't write in English much. (note: a pop up titled heart ache came up for some strange reason, when I was replying to this )
  15. I saw/heard about this on BET two saturdays ago on I think "Beats Rhyme and Life". It's been getting quite a buzz.
  16. Hey y'all. I tried recording these tracks and a couple freestyles on my bro's burner. And it would've worked, but I didn't realize how bad the mic sounded until I got home. The headphones I wore, kinda limited my hearing outside sounds. So I figured I'd put up the computer versions instead. 1. A to Z - a classic and creative lyrical track that is more than likely a first for the way it is done. Another Brotha Creating, Distributing Entertainment Finishing Great Hits, Inventing Jams, Kickin Live Moments No Other Puzzling Questions Rejecting Skill Try Unifying Verbose Writings, X-raying Your Zeal Appeal Bluntly, Can’t Dump Egos Firm Grips Haven’t Insisted, Junky Keen Loads Movin’ Nearly Obsolete Poets Quote Rampant Streets Times Untested, Vocal Weapons Xylophonin' Young Zealots About Beats Coordinating Dancers Everyone’s Flamboyant Glancers, Homage Influences Juggling Kudos, Liberating Messages Never Opposing Preference, Quality References Starting Togetherness, Uniting Variety With X Yearning Zig-zagging CHORUS A lil bit of an A-Z by an MC Not quite impossible cuz I made/make it work for me By my side wit a dictionary as I was on, the paper wit a pen Truly Organized Rhyme, new way of creatin’ ---------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Girl On My Mind - a true old school feel track, sampling the Gap Band's "Outstanding" It's constanly on my mind Hopin' to be wit that perfect girl I find She wouldn't be like none that I dealt with Have a sexy body, but I'd respect it Even when I'm tempted, I'd control my urges that way when it finally happens, it won't feel worthless I stuttter with my steps because I'm a shy guy But with her, I'd be comfortable when I look in her eyes We could talk about anything Smooth like R&B, our conversation sings Such a melody that can't be copied Together we are the perfect harmony And if we ever were to fight, it'd be alright because it'd be like to respecting emcees battling on the mic and that's hype, cuz when it's all over she and I end up even more closer Honey doesn't like to change too much because that's like messing up with a poisonous touch I tell her "You're so beautiful the way you are" Please believe that cuz it's from my heart So smart, she knows the ledge Set her goals and strength to get ahead I know it's only a matter of time before I'm with that Girl on My Mind Just when I said no more, a pretty face comes thru the door Looked like everything I wanted in a female before I'll admit, I was scoping for a quick second So I'd remember her after I exit and when I did, it was done, now I could think a bit but thoughts in my head was spinnin' kinda quick about her and others, maybe I'll love her Let me investigate and keep it undercover Won't let 'em get a brotha they can use and abuse I'm good for the cause, I paid my dues Got grip in my Nike shoes, I can stop Stay away from the fast lane, life won't flop No matter how her body demonstrates Givin' me visions whenever I mediate And I hope I run across her before it's too late There's a danger to hurry or to be too safe A proverbial warning Staying calm before the storming Wonder, could you understand the time I took to make a mix not bland Open a better jam for you because I can I am what I am, let me be your man I'll make my actions, just as efficient when I spoke to you with such linguistics I don't see fit, for me to get wit a chick that likes to always contradict Flip the script, I need to be exempt Take a breath, like a junkie take a hit Battling inside, if I should have a girl by my side because I get trapped in others eyes, stay with devious lies No cries, leave tears in, as another year begins Struggle finding a label that will stick sayin friends Only get as persuavive as my feelings can take it It take two to make it right, but she won't make it Outweighted, things I put up with, outdated Cuz all I wanted was her even if we never dated Now I'm sure, love don't live here anymore Hard to accept a foundation built better than before Unsure, at all energies like my minds on tour Feeling so strained, and now I'm bored Does it seem like I'm going for excellence? Cuz I'm just going for my right preference The world is mine and I will shine whether or not I share it with that Girl on My Mind
  17. Happy Birthday. Hope you enjoy yourself and have fun.

  19. Too bad they're only doing the west/southwest. I'll be looking out for Kweli's next album, but I thought they were suppose to do another Black Star album. Hopefully, they still will.
