  1. "Let me tell you a story, It's about tomorrow Time to be happy, No need to live in sorrow This country needs a leader who you gon follow? Let me tell you a story. It's all about tommorow (x2)" - this reminded me kind of that Malcolm X quote about education at the end of FPOBA. It was something like "Education is passport of future for the leaders of tomorrow who prepare for it today" "n my endz it's crazy because they'll hurt you for fun No hesitation to smack you wit a bat or shoot wit a gun" - very true. It's a good lookin song.
  2. Actually. I beat the game already. For some reason, it wont let me work out anymore. Strange. Thanks tho.
  3. Hey guys, I know quite a bit of you have GTA:SA, so I was wondering if someone could help me out. In Las Venturas, there are 3 casinos that I know of you can get into. Caligula's Palace, Four Dragons, but I don't know the third. I remember I got in there one time, and it had "playing pool" in it, but it's been forever and I don't know where it is. I've already searched around for the location and can't find it.
  4. Nice looking tracklist. Kinda like a pre-community album. But how come I've never seen "Showtime" or Fresh C's "Switch The Signs"?
  5. I liked this. Real cool. Nice blend of two worlds and double meaning. This would be a good song. Me, I'd never be caught dead on a skateboard. I'd be on the ground a few feet away from it. :lolsign: I almost got into the skateboading trend. I got a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers one when I was 9. My hat goes off to them fellas doing that. I didn't think rap vs skateboarding was a big deal, since PE & Anthrax was on one of them Tony Hawk's.
  6. Let's let the guys who don't want to be part of Hip Hop a certain way rest. Kane always said "Nuff Respect Due". He's not on the major scene like the artists we see everyday, but he keeps his skill. No way you could keep it if you didnt rap from time to time. And besides BDK aint ancient. and turntable, u better load that song up quick. I love Rakim's stuff.
  7. Yeah, that sub-par thing isnt right to say. Has anybody ever got a whole crowd of African American people to say "Fight The Power!" - Chuck D Easy-E, he's an alright guy in my eyes. He just doing him. Making money and what not. Guru - I havent heard alot of his stuff, but I'd think he's a little higher than sub-par. btw, speaking of Suge, did U know he's going to coach a football team now? I guess Snoop needs to watch out. (i heard it on the "Best Damn Sports Show" last night)
  8. Dirty Harry - Tony Toni Tone "Anniversary" b/w Nas "Affirmative Action" (Off The Hook Pt. 2 - For A Few Dollars More)
  9. It seems like a few people have on hiatus on us.
  10. See, that's Mike Jones's problem. He's axking the wrong question. "Who is Mike Jones?", nah, "what is mike jones". And will_is_ill answered the question.
  11. I know this is a fan site and what not for Will Smith and his potna Jeffrey Townes, but I've always wondered, was there ever a time or something currently that you dislike about Will? Sure your a fan, but has Will like ever dissappointed you with something he said, did, etc? I mean, think about it. Even tho you love Will like the Loretta he identified, is there anything you dislike? me, I have to think about it myself. :hmm:
  12. I decided to resubmit a song, and it is this one. Why do the same song twice? I'm going a new direction with this next 'album'. I didn't want to record it on my computer, but I made an exception here. I just want a rawer sound on a real mic; using my bro's burner with my real mic hooked in. You just have to listen, is all I'll say. Here's the lyrics. August 2, 2005 (7:01 p.m.) - August 5, 2005 (10:41 p.m.) I got a style ready for presentin' Perfect mass appeal that everybody'll mention This ain't the first and it ain't the last The rhyme is geared up and on a mic I'll blast into a brand new dimension, cuz that's my mission Accomplished if I got ears to listen to what I pen into my notebook daily Exercise the mind so it don't ever fail me I can tell tales, but get jealous ftrom tattle tells Too blind, can't feel the truth like brail Break nails tappin' fingers impatient Just cuz they ain't ready for a new sensation Write raps so good, they'd be scripts Oscar-nominated But I don't act cuz being myself ain't complicated If U don't like it, that's on U cuz wavin' U off is all I'll do The beat keeps callin me, crowd keeps followin' me Put a mic in my hand, and I'll be ready to MC Hit the stage wit my greatest swagger Rhymes persuasive and sharp like a dagger Won't matter if U'll agree cuz U'll respect how I move the crowd, don't have to yell out 'Next!' The best thing seen of my microphone dreams I understand my words, and people know what I mean when I express the context of my days survived Remembered for my words, even after I die And I just came from a small city but that doesn't dictate what or who I'll be Just means I try harder to get a little farther Go for my goals, much like a martyr Even if it means no tomorrow showin' Be like the waters of the earth and keep flowin' I'm bound to catch the right tune, good bass boom Attract an audience that likes to move Let the DJ cut, mix it up, and do whatever Then let me rap on it, make it even better Make a clever rhyme, outshine the dime-a-dozen Thought they'd get somethin' buzzin' But wasn't ready, so take a seat while I get on the mic and take it to the beat
  13. NaS - It Ain't Hard To Tell (Illmatic - 1994) love it all the way.
  14. Kid N Play is cool. I remember how JJFP was going to be the stars of House Party. Whenever I watch that movie, I can't possibly see it that way. They're some cool everyday brothas. Quite a time ago, there was some news on them,. I remember word that Play was a minister in North Carolina and had stage productions or something like that.
  15. That was funny. But that was not cool. TMNT are dope. I almost feel insulted.
  16. I thought Beastie Boys and Kurtis Blow was already honored if memory serves me correct.
  17. NaS - Understanding feat. AZ (Pre-Illmatic) I just wanted to get the bonus tracks from the 10th Anniversary Illmatic and came across this "Pre-Illmatic" album. Really really dope.
  18. They've been doing a lot of Hip Hop material lately to get us prepared for the Hip Hop Honors. Vh1 specials on Kanye West, NaS, Biggie, the "And You Don't Stop" series, etc. I stayed up at 3 in the morning one nite just to watch Nas's cuz I hadn't seen it and was afraid I wouldn't catch it again. And ted, I don't see why you'd say it doesn't make sense. Perhaps because they are two different labels and don't do things the same.
  19. I think we might as well. The album is pretty dead if all those available only do one.
