Kanye West - Late Registration Review Post

I read the reason Kanye did it that way was because he wanted the feature to be just on the chorus. Like some older albums. -
Time 2 Build - Sinister, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, & DMX (some b-side mixtape back in '95)

You guys are going into a skill debate. Game changing albums. IN other words, an album. Just an album. Not everything else envolved around the artist. Albums that "changed the game". Either brought in something new or brought something old back. It's 1991, and things are this way. 1992- Dre's Chronic comes out and things change. And now that I think about, Eminem did not change the game. He did stuff that nobody else's even tried to do there after his albums. He invented buttons that people didn't want to be pressed. So as far as Em bring the multi-rhyme rap back that some tried to do again, that did not happen. He just did it and nobody else. So he's not "Game Changing".

I've been listening to it again, and it's become a "regular" listening album. I don't know why everybody is trippin'. I can call my fav. tracks now. - Heard Em Say - Crack Music - Bring Me Down - Addiction - Hey Mama - Gone - Late (Bonus Track) It's a solid cd, for my tastes. -
I'm not sure if that's accurate to say entirely, but your right. About have of that cd was K.West's beats and most of the tracks were hits or had major credibilty in the street. Takeover, Girls, Izzo (HOVA), The Heart of the City. Nas's Illmatic, I wouldn't say is a "Game Changing" album. It's just a classic for Nas. None of Nas's album are game changers. They are just career recognition. And we're talking strictly the albums, not the artist themselves. Em's first album was enuff for the game to change. Brakes wasn't saying that Em's style made rappers bring better game because he invented it. He just brought it back around and if not that, at least made it noticeable again. We're on "Game Changing" albums. Not stuff that sold like crazy.

U know what, even if such news was fake, so what? It puts Will's name out there and people notice the buzz. It might be a discomfort to us, but Will would grab more people's attention.

Yo man, that's pretty nice. I like it. The letters could be better, but U've done more than I could ever do. :lolsign: I like it. btw, what's up with Mary's shirt? It looks like there is nothing underneath it. -
SWV "Weak" acapella b/w Aaliyah's "One In A Million" (Instrumental) a mix I made for last summer.

Gang Starr - Discipline (Instrumental)

Thanks. For some reason, when I rapped a freestyle for fun, it sounded better. But on the mic, it's a lil different. I guess the mic projected my voice not as I anticipated.

If You Don't Know Me By Now - Harold Miner or Melvin and the Blue Notes. I forget it exactly. I remember listening to that song last summer. And "Mr. Postman" is the Supremes. -
I hope U do do it. I definately wanna hear it.

After seeing the LL Cool J video of "I Shot Ya", I got pumped up to freestyle. The only lines I thought up instantly watching it, and wrote down was "1, 2;... 3, 4 5,6,7,8,9, five shots more 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 shots to ya dome" That's all I need to get me hype. I freestyle for fun one time and then decided to record one. I didn't think I could deliver like this. It's a step up for me. My freestyle was on, except for a couple tiny spots that almost aren't noticeable. I almost didn't wanna put it up, and was gonna do it again. But I decided, nah, another time. I know someone was asking about doing freestyles. I had nothin in front of me but the mic. http://rapidshare.de/files/4584835/FuQ_-_I...yle_1_.mp3.html

U know why they are probably advertising online, because that is where Switch did so well. that' my guess.
-
FuQ - I Shot Ya (Freestyle 1) after seeing the video today, I got hyped up to rap over this beat. I didn't think I had it in me to deliver like I did.

I'm sorry I started the whole thing. I was just trying to be a help. -
Beastie Boys - Beastie Groove (Instrumental) it's get just to hear it rock out.

U know what, this is is just another problem arising in Hip Hop. It's funny, if someone gets into a music that's current. People in that department don't say, how can U not know this genre's history like that? Why are you into so and so so much when this guy is so much better and has done greater things. I hate to scare anybody, but I truly do think that Rap is going to go out. Because it's a more powerful genre than the world has ever seen, it may take awhile. But it is very possible that such a thing can happen. I mean, they said "Disco will never die." And it did. Some people take offense to that, but it's the truth. It's not a physically living music anymore. (in other words, U don't see disco on tv today like you do Hip Hop, R&B, and Rock/Pop, etc.) But spiritually it's still around. (meaning people still listen to it). Rap was the new disco. Obviously rap would become something for anybody, because anybody could do it. A guy pulled from a pizza shop, rappin' a verse he heard. I may regret saying this and go back on my word, but don't ignore the fact that it is possible. Rap/Hip Hop, will die out in popularity but it will still be a favorite with many of us. The only way it will truly go is if something new could be on the rise. As Disco was heading for it's burial, rap was the underground party being brought to the surface and went to heights that nobody would have ever seen coming.

I'd probably get the John Legend "Get Lifted". I heard Usher's COnfessions. It was an ok cd. Snoop's R&G, I'd be skeptical. If U feel Snoop too much more in the early days, then U probably shouldn't get it. Just to be safe, I checked a random track of JL's album. Maybe overlook a couple reviews because a lot of work goes into gettin that little bit of money. Maybe U should double check that catelogy to make sure it's not something U missed. -

It's not an album to jump on ted. It's a matter of taste. I mean, it's an alternate from the usual Hip Hop/Rap sound, and it actually is growing on me. -
Andy: (thinking) Whoa, I never seen a booty that big. I shouldn't have looked back there. Serena: (thinking) Man, his breath smells bad.
-
Kanye West - Hey Mama I must admit. This album is growing on me. I'm almost scared. edit: hey, I noticed some new smilies. What is up? :nolachen:

How funny. I just laughed at the title. Something about Diddy and Dud in the same sentence. Maybe he'll change his name to Duddy. I was one of those people that tuned out. Proud of it.
