There was a lot of wordplay, which is good. It was just raw. Nice freestyle Joe

You fools! Don't U realize what you've done??? You have created a monster that is going to destroy you all. And by the monster, I mean that smiley guy. Scy or is it the other fellow? I don't quite get the tednmax one. :dontgetit:

Since U mentioned Eric B + Rakim, I think the tracks where it's Eric B DJing up something is good. Eric B + Rakim - As The Rhyme Goes On (and much like it, U will too; keep running) Kid Frost - La Raza DMX - Who We Be Will Smith - Yes Yes Y'all (and ya don't stop will be a nice hinting message to ya) Memphis Bleek - In My Life Might I suggest "Eye of the Tiger". U'll literally feel like your running up those stairs in Philly. Just be sure not to pass out because some will take your wallet.
-
If U suggested all that to them, they'd say... "Where the hell am I gonna get the money for all that?!?" I'd say it's a matter of interest and preferable possiblities of taste U think your friend would have. That's a pretty sound list. I can't argue with it. I noticed Will Smith is the only Hip Hop artist of today's world that U suggested. :hmm: An engima in itself. I'd add Nas - Illmatic. Can't think of anymore not listed.
-
Uh..., G-Unit might be the 'Top Dogs' of the industry but Hip Hop Rulers. Oh no. The line must be drawn somewhere. Don't cross it, please. :chuks:

Looks like Rev. Run is on the move. Real late last night, I saw his video "Run on Street" or something like that. I can't remember the title.
-
I'm feelin this. It's a really nice remix man. Sounds a lil like Nas's "Revolutionary Warfare". Definately downloading this.

I am very glad to report that I tested - (negative) Lorettitis. So the females are Lorettas and the males are Lorettos.

You know what's funny, when I was cleaning today, I found a Matel MC Hammer doll. The classic Hammer look (wearing purple) and a lil cassette. Interesting. I also had a Vanilla Ice Towel. :haha: Memories. -

:hmm: That is a debateable answer. Actually, it isn't because I remember my first taste of Hip Hop was when I was 5. 1991 = ABC's "Coolin' It At The Playground, Ya Know" cassette. Of course, they're not all hip hop, but it's well in there. -
Astoundingly Perfect.

Ah ok. btw, that would be a nice line to use against Michael Jackson or anyone with a nose job.

Like Miss Jackson would say: Give me a Beat!

Perhaps sharing the lyrics with us would help some. -
Thanks Joe, Aint' seen u in awhile. What's up wit your lyrics?
-
Is it just me, or did I kill the game of "Catch A Quote 2"? Fine, you'll never get this one. :lolsign: "West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days"

Very dumb move. The beat will not fit the video. No one is going to want to see this. It won't even last on the countdown, if it even gets on. This is not funny. Just dumb. And this is not hate speaking.
-
Thanks a lot man. I figured it was about time I recorded it.

Yo, I found your page and check out both tracks. I thought it was funny that we used the instrumental for songs around the same time recorded. Lyrical Trip - U got the right voice for it. It's very much on. You just need more attitude and be a bit better rhythmically in sync with the beat. Other than that, no compliants. Female MC - Same advice with the other one. Also rap louder and keep ya voice up at a level. I definately like what I hear.

FuQ - Check The Rhyme Check it outttt....

When I saw this, I was thinking of Flipside of the JUICE Soundtrack, but that was a song title. Is there stuff really any good or different from what's out?

Hey y'all. I finally recorded the song that I performed at the Coffee House back in May 2005. It was my own rendition of A Tribe Called Quest's "Check The Rhime". I got a very receptive response. I had blanked out for the last 6 lines and had to freestyle. That was a nice lil test for me. Anyway, here's the lyrics and the song. Enjoy it. May 14, 2005 (circa 6:00 p.m.) - May 16, 2005 (9:15 a.m.) © 2005 Verse 1 1, 2, here's the introduction Listen to the flow of the lyrics and the beat of the percussion Nothin's gonna stop me from rockin' Handin' me the mic is ya only option And if not then, the crowd is gonna go cuz they didn't get a show and they'll end up closed But I can save ya, wit good behavior Let 'em hear a MC that can kick it major Pen hits the paper wit word submission And how I feel towards the rhythm, that's my decision Givin' U a vision of how I'm livin' or a fantasy imagining I'm not an automated service I ain't worthless, I got a purpose and I exert this force by choice Releasin' creative lyrics comin' outta my jaws Check the rhyme, respect the lines Perfectly defined in Hip Hop's hectic times While they're clowin', loungin', they're lost but I'm found wit a sound that they wish wasn't around Styles change, and everybody wants to reign in the game Have a bigger cash flow and out-do the next That's why ya scratch bein' neighbors cuz they'll try to play ya See, U can get hurt and U can feel irked Bein' low and gettin kicked to the dirt Some think to highly of our society But it's a cliff and they fall off like Wyle E. Gettin looney to tune cuz I got enuff room to push down on the dynamite box and go boom Recover and check the rhyme Everything's in order and still fine Verse 2 Get back into delight as I rap again The 1st verse was gettin' lonely, so I brought a friend that's convenient entertainment Fluently speaking the same language If U can't hang wit the dialect that a brain collects move down a step for ya next best bet Set up the scene, what's happening I'm a be like a camera, and capture things I'm walkin down a long avenue Gettin looked at by people that I never knew I'm in a backwards hat, and I don't back track unless I'm playin' music cuz I love hearin' that Just move to the groove, soothing to da ear No matter the emotion, I'm a feel it, yeah Maybe have a cutie catch my eye If I step up, do like a respectful guy Then continue when I'm thru, get home and write a few rhymes if I'm productive wit my mind Then record it, rewind, check the playback, it's fine Put it to a cd, and spin it anytime See, I'm just a regular but when it comes to Hip Hop, I gotta be a competitor cuz they wanna be better, leave U no enjoyment of a guy like me that's not annoying Bringing a great rhythm, that always get 'em If they wanna catch Zs, I ain't the one to see The word is bomb, wit a bond that's strong Able to hit the mic, just right in the song ------------------------------------------------- Just click on that good ol' bold link in my siggy-iggy-iggy. :2thumbs:

I use it on some rare nights. Every time I feel so close to the perfect Hip Hop beat. Then I end up bringing more to the backbone and it makes it sound like House Music or some type.
-
Thanks to each and every single one of you. Even though it's just another day to me, it's cool of y'all to do it. I did absolutely nothing. And not the kind of nothing where it's something U wanna do after doing so much. It's just another day, just another day.

For a second there, I thought your face had filled out. And was thinking, "Wow, Jonny really let himself go." Then I read your reply and opened it up. I was like "Ooooohhhhh". Nice bubble gum blowing, but if you wanna break that world record, I think it's safe to say you better do it outside next time. Don't wanna get it all over your wall.
