  1. Hey y'all. I was on a deadline. (that I set). And I did make it. This was one of the tracks I did. It was one of those hour spent writing. Honestly check this out. I posted it for a special reason too. :2thumbs: Intro: Comin From the Penn (2x), then scratches by way of mouf Verse 1 Nobody's got their mind made up or put on a goal This life's about livin', not what's in the inner soul We're in a town, where they copy trendsetters, don't kno no betta of the creativeness that's met to go to national measures Like Queensbridge has got the 'duns', Washington has got the 'yuns' Small city jackers can still roll wit a gun Youngins got the desire to head for, a place outta state When they get in their 30s, they're right back in the same place Look at waht times used to be, and now what we usually see It's some crazy changes even for Wash High Prexies I was born in '86, the year after crack took shape Day and age where family values just went to a waste Hit the base of the story, and ya can't front on me Still around, I put it down, and ya can't ignore me even if ya ain't for me, gonna get where I wanna go Ain't no passengers for the ride, U can't get a hold Comin from the penn, I know where it starts Creative writings thru my mind that I make into art CHORUS: Comin from the penn, I know exactly where it starts Writing words into a rap, that they consider an art Submittin' them to existence, out in a world that's gonna listen Trained to survive in any trying condition *scratches "comin from the penn* Verse 2 Let my lyrics be remedies for any extreme disease like writer's block, and that don't jsut include MCs Shout-outs to G-T-C, shout-outs to 8-M-F-V Hope to see ya in that music movement that we're trying to lead And to overseas MCs, like Da Brakes and the Prince bago, bigted, J-o-e, and Tinus Jump the fence and wild out on rappers that down the route of Hip-hop, str8 into a bad rep Connect from our community, call a piece of unity that's usually unseen, let's make a climatic scene We're underground, so U'll stumble upon us like alcoholics but ya find ya grace when we step in the place, make U respondent wit ya listening ear, or wit ya hands in the air No matter the title U hold, U can enjoy from right there Who am I? Just know that the guy's name is FuQ Used to be quiet, now I'm speakin out, U can't rebuke if I'm raw and realistic, U can't diminish it If thoughts dotted inmy mind, I'll try to finish it Maybe be a hit when I'm gettin' a win Right now, I'm at where I'm from and that's the Penn CHORUS *scratches out 'Comin from the Penn'*
  2. Talib Kweli - Around My Way I remember the 1st time I heard this on the Chappelle's Show. I never heard of this guy and loved his song. The line "N****z aint become American til 9-11" won me over.
  3. I christened it already and I had fun. But I will be there again. It's got a lil flaw on censoring but it's all good.
  4. I checked it on mine. It's not in the Hip Hop Main General. My song "Best Friends" is there right now. Weird. I put it in alternative hip hop, and it's ranked #340. (currently page 7)
  5. I think "hip hop" should be quoted instead of fans, cuz they'll say they're hip hop and won't mean it. M-o-b-b wit the G-Unit? I don't think it's fittin. They've always held it down wit their music; the stories, the beats, just everything. MOP is real desperate now I guess. I remember when they had some songs wit Jay-Z. Blaze Up or something like that. I saw this rumor at another forum, didn't think this was gonna be real. If guess if 50 can't get back in NY, he's gonna get artists who can.
  6. haha!, I know, it just seemed like so many of us had or is doing that. Maybe our subconscious is tellin us something. whispers... *listen to Will*...
  7. Well..., we don't kno. Uh, jump in anytime here fan. :wait:
  8. U kno, I think people r talkin this "Lost + Found" picture taking too far.. :shakehead:

  10. Yo, when will your album be finished?? Right now: JJFP - Pump Me Up ← Hopefully today. Then gonna go searchin for a site to put it up on. I'd like to make my own if I could. ABC - That's My Girl
  11. Joe "yo, i aint never really spoke about the events of 9/11 but it was different, i ran and tried to talk to the revren" - that was a phat opener. "i aint tough, but i will get on my knees gettin arrested in cuffs" - that was a powerful end. "Blood on his license plate, wrecked up steal Let me tell you the deal and this is real Live your life, soon it will all be gone So rewind and listen to the words of this song"- i liked these lines of yours fan the best. Good song y'all. Would've been nice if fan had a lil more to his.
  12. Joe, U did a good all-round job wit da verse. KInda comedic but nasty wit fart part. lol. It's all good. Fabman, I like ya end where U compared.

  15. FuQ - Anotha Brenda (Fast Lane Remix)
  16. Here is mine. (why submit the same song?) FuQ - Take It To The Beat
  17. Hey, y'all. This was a quick track idea I had after searchin' for some Talib Kweli beats. It's a story (not true) told in the 1st person point of view. But I know it happens to people and could to anyone. May 29, 2005 (3:30 p.m.) - May 30, 2005 (12:00 p.m.) Intro (unscripted when record) Verse 1 I wanna be good 2 U, but I'm a be truthful wit why my heart's hurtin' Things about us uncertain, even when I put my work in Lift up the curtain to this drama, feel pain wit no armor Feel the conscious of what U did, I'll leave it on ya I fell feeble into a whirlwind after months wit my 1st girlfriend even ya crew around ya was sayin' "How could U hurt him?" I wasn't made of money, but I was hungry in the struggle Piecin' my time like a puzzle, I took that time to love U No matter the ethnicity, I was hopin U & me could be something special, even wit the differences in our families I felt the moments when U just couldn't hold it in took U to the side, tried to talk it out, U wouldn't open then Obviously, U got a bone to pick I can only get so technical wit that X-ray $#!& U shouldn't fear, U were prevalent, in my heart, U made it Would've been good to U baby, but U had to break it Chorus(2x) Anything U asked was yours, I could provide for sure Magnificent relationship that U don't want no more Like Jagged Edge said, 'u can't handle a love that's true' I was... "gonna be good to U..." Verse 2 We carved our letters in the mason's work, but didn't crack a stone Went home, listened to Shai, and then we got it on for a couple of minutes, but didn't finish Our parents probably knew all along, I think they sensed the image Before they pulled us apart, I got that lover's eye the one that make U my girl, make me ya guy We were so young, but the emotions were high I was weepin' like a willow on my pillow cuz I wanted U by my side Conceal my feelins round those boys, pretend men Realize how real it was, and not back down again Then maturity reached, and I was ready to reach for ya femininity no other girl had in our city I put ya hand in mine, told ya my mind's fate saw us movin' outta state by 2008 U agreed and believed, but U weren't following me We connected to be 2gether but now it wouldn't be Chorus(2x) Verse 3 I set the targets, worked the hardest, got us an apartment Went to college, got a degree, came out the smartest Got an affordable car, when I became a rap star Takin U on tour wit me, we know where we are I showed ya parents the etiquette, they respected it, let me go on bout my ways I was gonna be good to u for all of our days U faded a good sound, put ya life on the down low tryna keep me from something that I needed to know U went to different standards, to a guy's who hand was gonna beat ya til ya unstable, or he was in handcuffs Damn, I know it's ruff, but U changed for the worst Used to care, but now U won't even put ya-self 1st in a respectable matter, and I don't mean being greedy I mean takin' care of ya own, not hurtin' others being U trapped ya-self in a nightmare, where dreams don't come true Sleep uneasy knowing how I was good 2 U Chorus -------------------- btw, this is gonna be track 2 on my album. I'm startin off a lil different.
  18. I'd say "COuld U Love Me", but then "Lost + Found" is great and kicks in nice.
  19. I'm sorry, actually no I'm not. "Just the Two of Us" is so much better. Will captures it more than Eminem. Just cuz his son was wit him, and Em wasn't wit his daughter... No. That family feel is there esp. fromt he sample.
  20. "but u broke my heart, broke a specail thing we had, its apart i beg for you to take me back, baby i admit i was whack but thats beside the fact, would u love me more if i was black dont get me misunderstood, i aint racist we had it trust on lies, its lust on your cry but let me tell you i'd rather die" - these would be noteworthy lines to a great review of this song. Nice Job Joe Dope song overall. Many would feel this cuz U capture the emotions of people's relationships.
