  1. "You might ask me since I'm only 20 how could I have that much of a past?" "In other words I'm not tryin' to overwhelm legends Or my other favorites you'll find in my CD collection" "That's gonna love what's on the inside before my appearance Love is really bigger than your fantasy of an X-Rated image" ----- I really was grabbed and liked reading those lines the most. There's a lot of specifics in this song. When I look over your whole rhymes, it's like U've got no boundaries blocking U. And that's good thing, especially for people like U. No matter how good I could say this song U wrote is, I think the real matter would be you writing it to express yourself. And U did it. Mad props to ya. :thumb:
  2. That was great Tim. It had flow, wordplay, a relevant & positive message. A very well thought out rhyme.
  3. Real good song the whole way thru.
  4. Thanks everybody. I thought this was one of my best. It will be nice opener to my cd.
  5. Hey y'all. Numero Uno is really movin wit all these new posts. I figure hey, why not get in on all this hype. Anyway, I had got some major inspiration for an intro track. And worked on it today. Finished it too. Check it out. April 7, 2005 © It's time for me to speak on brah, and say what I gotta say Introduction, then I'll sign off cordially as a young MC, 18 at the time of this rhyme Releasin' pieces of lifetimes that was on my mind Become the embodiment, but ain't nobody tryna stop it This good will die young, doin' good and keep it positive Take terms in my mind to reach determination Put energy in my body to reach motivation to get wherever as I face struggles and troubles Preparing is cool, but ain't as if I know Slowly slip, but grip the pen as I write wit it No one should try to rip cuz everyone will know that I did it People said "Mike, hope U accomplish ya rapper dream" But I'm here rappin' now, so what could U possibly mean? Oh, U mean ice on wrist, success packed in a chain Having a major fame, become a household name But that ain't gotta be, I do this for me and my part of responsibility in bettering society That is a cause that I'd never put on pause Hope to be effective in the ways that I step to it Wonda why we see things different and then start trippin' Hurt each other or ourselves, and that ain't good intentions Hope U hear me, even tho I ain't all wild Hope U feel me, cuz I try givin U the best of my style of who I am, going thru the times and this is how it is, whenever I rhyme My lyrics; full of knowledge and understandin' Speak on, whether or or not a mic is my hand
  6. After reading that, I'd hate to get on ya bad side. Great job jim. *please be a nice guy and don't go off* :thumb: :kekeke:
  7. The whole way thru ted, I could feel the focus on what U was sayin'. The fact that U shared some of that D-L wit me, I can really understand where this is comin' from.
  8. I give it 6 outta 10. I agree wit the whole 1st verse 2nd verse idea of everybody. I liked the 1st. It was really thought out and defined in a nice way. Multi-ed up too. the 2nd was more of a non stop punchline similes.
  9. I've thought about quitting too. And one more than one occasion. It's just something i can't help doing. My lyrics for the cd I'm workin on is gonna be my best yet. I can really tell. I just wrote my intro track 2day. If your force writing, yeah your gonna get discouraged cuz U'll feel U have nothing left. Writing for me is just a natural habit. Sometimes I may start a song and never finish it.
  10. Will needs to make a "Tell Me Why" addressing these people. A comedy version of "Tell ME Why". And have Jeff do a verse. And an extreme cut saying 'this is what DJ-ing is and I'm the guy behind it.' Now if U don't know Charlie MAck, that's understandable, but Jazzy Jeff. Come on!
  11. Well guys. Maybe religion isn't the word. And lifestyle is a bit strong. We're all JJFP fans. And I think we've been naturally ourselves by enjoying Will's music and messages. That's all he'd really want.
  12. he meant fire. fiya would work better wit slang. Just sayin' it's hot, real good. etc.
  13. "Given you a roof over ya head It’s because of the world you aint dead" - U have a great song and all, but I would disagree wit this line. The world doesn't really give U anything. especially these two. "Every person on the face of the Earth has been an asshole to another at one time Every person on the face of the Earth has had committed at least one crime It doesn’t matter the size Nothing will ever perfect is the moral of the rhyme" - I really liked this ending. "Theres so many flaws in this thing we call the earth For some people their problems start right after birth" - this is a real good opening, but I'd change it to 'for some people, their problems start right at birth'. That be a definate grabber. It actually could be said a couple different ways if U really think about it. Just wanted to point that out. Overall, it's a real good rhyme. Better than the average world songs that people address.
  14. Boyz II Men "Vibin'" feat. Craig Mack, Treach, Busta Rhymes, Method Man (from the Remix Collection)
  15. I guess I'm the only happy forum member here, cuz I Love UNC. National Champs baby!!!
  16. Maybe something is plugged in wrong or not at all. :thumb: Or maybe U have a short.
  17. Why? Did somebody do that? Whoever did is gonna have to answer to all of us.
  18. Teddy Riley feat. Tammy Lucas - Is He Good To You (from the Juice soundtrack, which I'm playin' right now)
  19. I liked the overall messages/stories coming from ya verses. That hat one caught my eye cuz I wear them myself; all kind of ways
  20. Nice come at em diss. Nothing extreme, but it's real cool
  21. Good overall. I seen a lil 'Scary Story' at the start of ya 2nd verse. Nice feel. Just a throw in of mentions here and there is real cool. I liked that chorus too. Wasn't half bad.
  22. Great word organization, rhyme, flow, etc. This is one of the best writings I've seen U do bigted.
  23. Man, I read this wit so much power and heart, I actually felt ya message. Especially since I and probably a lot of others identify wit this. The last three lines really grabbed me the most. Sad thing is, not many people rep from their hearts anymore.
