look what i found in the live KCA blog: 8:17: He's just 12... And already he's a pro! 8:16: Tre Smith, Will's son... Is interviewing for "Access Hollywood" right here... 6:57: Will & Jada are heading... Straight for Tre's mic! 6:56: Here come the Pinkett-Smiths! How cute are those kids? Tre's gonna be reporting live tonight for "Access Hollywood." Cool gig! 6:54: Jada Pinkett-Smith is with them too! Talk about a cool mom & dad! 6:53: Will Smith just hit the carpet... With his kids!
-
the preshow thing's on, Will was just talking for a bit, Jada and all the kids are there as well, haven't seen Trey so i guess he's working at the moment

Why does she have haters? why does anyone have haters? lol i just meant that people more often than not, find something wrong with everything she does, so as a fan i def. wouldn't want people to think she's biting off Will's movie, i hope they can do it in a way where the only thing it really has in common with Bad Boys(besides the success) is the fact that the two cops are friends...and i REALLY hope they don't call it "Bad Girls" cuz that'll kill it before it even has a chance..so i guess that's what i meant :thumb:
-
i think they just meant couple as in "a pair", they word it that way all the time, with different celebs it's no big deal
-
that article is so old lol, he talked about that in 99, when he accepted a Grammy
-
Will's never even been in a movie with Cameron Diaz
-
personally i'd love to see it happen, i mean how many action movies have two African American females in the lead? Especially with the chemistry like QL and Jada (Set It Off) but i wouldn't call it "Bad Girls", (Jada's got enough haters) i think people are viewing it as a spin off or something similar to Bad Boys b/c of the premise of the movie, maybe if they came up with a great script and better concept it'd be pretty good
-
yeah that was a great episode, she'll be on the today show tomorrow, i guess she's been in NY with Will the whole time, i know his parents were and his nephew and sister

*Official* Lost and Found Review Post
MissAshley replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
another one: Hip-hop rap artist and actor Will Smith released his new album ‘Lost and Found’ this week. Love him or hate him; this is a must album. The former ‘Fresh Prince’ shows he still is very fresh. The beats are original and Will Smith’s flow is tight and mature. The track ‘Lost and Found’ (also the album title) is a very truthful and straight at ya type track. If you don’t agree with what Will Smith has to say, then you must be brainwashed. This is one needed CD for rap and hip-hop. Even though ‘Lost and Found’ was released on Interscope, it is a CD worth a look and a buy. As a matter of fact I bought this CD to review; since Interscopes’ online rep has ‘issues’ with a lot of on line media and pretty much leaves us out in the cold. From the outset with ‘Here He Comes’ ya get a taste of something fresh. There is something for everybody on this record. Club bangers like ‘Switch’, ‘Pump Ya Brakes’ feat. Snoop, ‘If U Can’t Dance [slide] were definitely made for the ladies. While tracks like ‘I Wish I Made That’ / Swagga, Mr. Niceguy, ‘Lost and Found’, and ‘Tell Me Why’ are tracks that needed to be cut and give you some substance and something to think about. The last track ‘Switch…R&B Remix’ feat. Robin Thicke shows great versatility in Will Smith’s music. It really may be better than the original club banger ‘Switch’. With fresh beats and great production this album is sure to be a stand out. The album contains 15 tracks and there really isn’t a bad track there. They are all fresh and a real change from what we are being 'spoon' feed lately. On a scale of 1-10, ‘Lost and Found’ by Will Smith gets a 9. The only thing keeping it from a 10 is that it was released on Interscope. The album is out and be sure to check it out and buy it – don’t download it. Show support for the artist. http://www.thuglifearmy.com/news/?id=1092 -
as you guys listen to the album more try this thread i started the day before yesterday: http://jazzyjefffreshprince.com/forum/inde...?showtopic=3308

Do you think its the same Michelle as Will mentions on I Loved You "With Michelle, One Of Your Freak Friends..." that's the same question i asked in another thread, i think it's possible if he's speaking from real experiences on both songs, but it could be a coincidence

NEW YORK, and JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-talented actor, composer, producer and performer, Will Smith, and Grammy Award-winning rap star Ludacris are to headline at MTV base 100th LIVE!, an exclusive concert to celebrate the launch of MTV base, MTV's first pan-African music channel and MTV Networks' 100th channel worldwide. Talented African artists, Lebo Mathosa, Mandoza and Seun Kuti will also perform at the open-air concert on 20 April 2005 in Johannesburg, South Africa, playing to an audience of up to 10,000 fans. Highlights of the show will subsequently air on MTV channels around the world in May 2005. "It's such a thrill to hit the 100th channel milestone, especially with a launch in Africa," said Tom Freston, Co-President and Co-COO of Viacom Inc. "With the launch of MTV base, the MTV Networks flag has been planted in every region of the world, and positions us to continue aggressive expansion of MTVN brands internationally -- an important part of Viacom's long-term growth." "Combining the celebration of MTV Networks' 1st local African channel with our 100th channel worldwide says everything about the importance of Africa to our global portfolio," said Judy McGrath, Chairman and CEO, MTV Networks. "And, with Will Smith, Ludacris and such incredible talent from all across Africa, this event will be the ultimate celebration of Africa's rich mix of music and culture which you will see on MTV base all the time." Fresh from box office success in rom-com "Hitch", CGI family blockbuster, "Shark's tale" and futuristic sci-fi thriller, "'I, Robot", Will Smith makes a welcome return to his music roots, performing hits from throughout his long career, including tracks from his Greatest Hits album, and his eagerly awaited new 4th album "Lost and Found". Described by Smith as a departure from his previous work, "Lost and Found" is an intensely personal work which shows a more complex, tougher side to the former "Fresh Prince", characterized by red-hot single "Switch" and collaborations with longtime partner Jazzy Jeff, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Timbaland and Snoop Dogg. Atlanta-based Ludacris, otherwise known as Chris Bridges is a 16-year veteran of the US hip hop scene, joining his first hip hop outfit at just 12 years old. A lifelong love of music took Ludacris from his early days as an Atlanta radio DJ to signing by influential Def Jam records. Following his initial breakthrough track "What's Your Fantasy", Ludacris went on to achieve multi-platinum sales success, with more than 10 million albums sold to date and working along the way with Missy Elliott, Usher, Snoop, 50 Cent, Outkast and Jermaine Dupri. Courting controversy along the way for his raw lyrics and explosive stage performance, Ludacris' platinum-selling album, "Red Light District" is still riding high in the Billboard charts after 14 weeks. Ludacris is also hitting the big screen and will be starring and releasing two major films this year "Crash" in May and "Hustle and Flow" in July. He is also the Co-CEO of the Disturbing the Peace label that has a joint venture deal with Def Jam. Also turning up the heat at MTV base 100th LIVE! will be South Africa's kwaito "Drama Queen" Lebo Mathosa (famously described as "the South African Tina Turner" by The New York Times, clubbers' favorite, Mandoza and Nigerian Afrobeat sensations, Seun Anikyulapo Kuti & Fela's Egypt 80 Band. Show highlights are expected to include: Ludacris' nimble rhyming skills and crowd-rousing hip-hop, alongside Mathosa's distinctive kwaito rhythms and gravity-defying dance routines, and Kuti's electrifying blend of funk, jazz and hip hop, nimbly supported by the 16 members of Fela's Egypt 80 band, the original backing band of his late father, the legendary Fela Kuti. Commented Alex Okosi, Vice President & General Manager, MTV Networks Africa, "MTV base 100th LIVE! delivers on MTV base's launch promise to showcase African music and artists to a global audience. By bringing together the hottest established and emerging artists in Africa today, MTV base 100th LIVE! provides the perfect platform to spotlight African music and artists alongside the cream of international talent!" MTV base 100th LIVE! is sponsored by Nokia SA as part of a major integrated marketing deal designed to build connections between Nokia and African youth. The multi-pronged marketing campaign encompasses on-air and on-the-ground sponsorship of MTV base Live!, a pan-African talent showcase tour with an exclusive party backdrop. Nokia is among the first brands to associate with the MTV base brand as part of its on-going commitment to connecting youth in Africa through entertainment. MTV base Live! promises to be the hottest party events in Africa and will leverage MTV's iconic music and event expertise to create a compelling connection between Nokia and African youth. *Official* Lost and Found Review Post

here's another Will Smith has had quite a career, music, television, film, and he has been successful at all of it. Will Smith was one of the first rappers I listened to, I remember when he and Jazzy Jeff burst onto the scene in the late 80's. They had a unique, and radio friendly style. They made hip hop accessible for the masses. They also provided a safe way for surburbia to ease into hip hop. That is not a criticism, it's is just that Smith has chosen to take a positive route with his music which is a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of music which has a much darker aura. This new album is no different in tone than the past. It has an upbeat feeling, positive lyrics, and a lot of skill. Will proves that he hasn't lost any of his skills since his last release back in 2002. His acting hasn't affected his ability to flow on a mic. I felt funny typing that, but hey, when in Rome. It is true though, he has a great voice and this album proves that he can still rap with the best of them. Lyrically the album is strong as well. He squares off with those who have accused him of going soft, and its true, you don't need to swear in order to make a good song. There are a variety of targets that he takes aim on throughout the album. People like other rappers who have made hits that he likes, a past girlfriend who since finding God has become holier than thou. But besides taking aim at others, there is a healthy helping of straight up party music, including the first single, "Switch." There is also a song where he wonders about world events, and the insanity involved. The album is a mixture of party music and social commentary, all wrapped up in a way that is easy to get into. Rap is not my typically my forte, and being so, I have had some difficulty in writing about it, but the album is very good. Lots of great beats, some great rhymes, and that trademark Smith charisma. And of course there are moments that I identify with, such as "If U Can't Dance (Slide)" considering my considerable lack of rhythm! Then there was the nostalgic moment when i recognized the sampled rhythm of the opening track, "Here He Comes," as the theme song to the original Spider-Man cartoon. On top of all that, Smith can still tell a good story, as evidenced in "Pump Ya Brakes," featuring the talents of guest Snoop Dogg. Bottomline. Smith is on top of his game with this release, proving once again you don't have to be crude in order to exhibit clever wordplay which also displays social relevance. And again, there is no denying the charisma and skill exhibited by Big Will. Now if he could only diversify his acting ..... Recommended. http://blogcritics.org/archives/2005/03/28/073119.php -
