Oh my, let's hope not... Not Chief himself.. Cristigolo, have you ever heard of the analogy about the birds and the bees? Or would you prefer me to translate it into an easier-to-understand bread analogy for you? Edit: Ah damn. Beaten to it :P

New Proposed Indecency Bill Threatens Rap Music Industry
thePrince replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
Yeah it's time to clamp down on the music industry bedwetters. But at the same time, it does infringe freedom of speech, etc., which is something I believe strongly in. So.. I dunno. -
Errrr......You sure about that mate? :hmm: I'd leave this one, Brakes. Cristigolo is obviously highly intelligent.

The only automatic I've ever been behind the wheel in was a golf buggy. It was crap. Oh, and yes Jonny. The engine breaking is vitally important. I mean, only a few weeks ago we were driving down a road that was marked as being 30degrees steep on some of the tight bends, in a blizzard, with 6 inches of snow lying on the road. I wouldn't have liked to be in an automatic in that. Sometimes its useful to have more than breaks to slow a car.
-
Ah automatic cars. That'll be half of the reason why it's so easy to learn to drive in the US. I mean, you have what - an accelerator, a break, a handbreak and a steering wheel. No clutch or gear stick. I'd say almost every car on the road here in the UK is a manual. I wouldn't want to drive without manual either. Especially down steep hills here in the Highlands, where the gears are used to restrict the cars speed. That wouldn't really happen with an automatic.

Anybody pull an April fool's joke today?
thePrince replied to Jazzy Julie's topic in Caught in the Middle
Loads of snow still. Snowed again today. Basically all the runs are still open up at CairnGorm. Should be for some time yet. Skiing here in Scotland lasts through April, sometimes into May (until the late 1990s, there had never failed to be May skiing in Scotland since the '60s). In 2001 it lasted until July. Yes, I have photos. I took them of myself after I went in, so I could assess the extent of the green sh*t's hold on me. Damned if I'm posting them! I may, however, post a photo of the offending stream in question. The section of which I am now going to be naming "Jamie's Jump" :lolsign: Yeah Julie, I'm fine. Luckily I missed all the boulders. Just lots of moss and other green stuff that sticks to you. The only damage was bruised pride. And green-coloured clothes. -
Anybody pull an April fool's joke today?
thePrince replied to Jazzy Julie's topic in Caught in the Middle
Nah I didn't do any, and didn't get any done to me by anyone else. However, I made myself a bit of an April fool this morning anyway. Quite accidentally :ohdear: Basically, I was out skiing (ah here we go), and as you know something eventful or banterous always happens either to people around me, or to me. So anyway, I was skiing alone at this point, down a nice wide fully complete run. However, lower down there was a stream exposed. It wasn't marked as being a hazard, so I assumed you could just ski over it. However, as I neared this, it dawned on me that it was too wide to cross, and there was no way I could get across it, so I realised I had to stop. By this time, I was travelling fast, and it was too late to stop as I was now right on the edge (only right beside it I saw the problem at hand). So I was "oh SH*T", attempted to jump it, got part way across, landed right in the middle of the f*cking thing. Skis stopped in the middle of this slimey green moss algae bog stuff, fell on my side, got utterly drookit (soaked), then staggered up, and lost balance and fell on my side again. Got completely soaked and completely covered in green slimey bog sh*t. And yes, I wear white skiing pants. So here I am, in the middle of a f*cking stream, looking like an utter pillock, completely covered in green sh*t. And I mean completely. Beginning of the day too. Some people I know skied past, people I've spoken to on the internet, but I didn't introduce myself as I'd just finished crawling out of this stream. I was not pleased. However, I rolled in the snow for 10 minutes, spent another 10 minutes getting handfuls of snow and brushing it off, which got most of it off. I was still completely soaked, but continued skiing for the rest of the day anyway. Proper hardcore. End. -
Yes the standards are less in the US, I heard. Here it takes everybody about 45 hours of lessons to pass the test. It's about £810 for 50 hours. That isn't even including the theory test price of £20, or the final test costing £50. That's about £880 total (assuming you pass first time). In US dollars, we're talking $1500. Then on top of that, insurance here for somebody newly passed starts at £1000 ($1740), it's usually at least 50% more than that quoted price, and then fuel costs - in the Scottish Highlands at the moment fuel costs about £0.90 per litre ($1.60), higher than prices elsewhere in the UK (even though we have the oil fields!!). Cost of the car aside, lets assume you get lessons, pass your test, get insurance, and fill up your tank (lets assume it's 80litre tank). We pay at least £1972 ($3500). And you people think you have problems. Rant over.

Rammstein - "Reise, Reise" All in German, but still great. Just shows that language doesn't need to be a barrier.

You tell me, you're the one that posted the "NIGGERS" photo.

Corrupted by idiots (Renagade). Interesting how people change... not always for the better.
-
I think there are people on here who are offended, but not willing to speak out against it.
-
You wondered the name of the animal, so Brakes gave you a name, rather than the type of animal.
-
If you didn't read the post, then don't ask what the joke was.
-
I thought both were pretty offensive. Not that I am a part of the categories being derided. But that's just it. Not enough people stand up for what they believe in. This is a family show, and there is no room for corruptive racism on JJFP.com. Take that sh*t outside.

Especially don't "bump" topics that aren't worth bumping. I agree with Jonny, this is nothing special. At best it displays pre-pubescent lyricism with no wordplay, basic rhyme schemes, basic sentence structure, poor vocabulary, etc. Improve word play, vocabulary, structure, rhyme scheme, lyricism etc and then maybe your topics will deserve "bumping". You don't want to turn into another "Renagade" style disaster, so don't let it happen. Keep on practising, and you'll improve. But you can only improve if you constantly constructively critisize yourself for what you do. When you write things like this, and think it wonderful, you can never improve. If you write something, realise that you could have done better, and done things differently, then you can improve by identifying what these things are, and changing your outlook next time round. If you try your best, then we can give you advise to support you, and in turn you'll grow as lyricists (that's what this forum is about). But as it is just now, you aren't getting anywhere.

Some sort of horrific self-gratifying Google searches, no doubt.

I didn't find either amusing. Poor taste, guys.
