I've loved that beat since EB&R used it. His flow kinda sounds like Everlast. -

This dude can't draw the line between "rappers" as a career and "people trying to rap" as in celebrities. What does he expect from Elvira, Dan Akroyd and athletes??? Of course they can't rap! Nor did they claim to be rappers! They wern't intending to be serious about it.
-
I agree with most of those on the list, but this person obviously hasn't heard the title track to DJ...Rapper. That song alone proves he's better than the other 24. "Man I really, really, really, really, really, really hate when people doubt my ability, and I have to show superiority..."
-
Yo AJ, you getting into rap sounds a lot like me, same time frame, rappin/beatboxin with your friends, everything. Some of my first tapes were Raising Hell, Bigger & Deffer, Big & Beautiful and JJ+FP's DJ..Rapper. I liked R&B in the early 90's (BBD, Boyz II Men, etc.) with hints of hip-hop but still focused on good singing and being more upbeat. My musical range goes from Metallica to rap, from british rock (Radiohead, etc.) to wild experimental stuff. I get in moods to listen to different music, and weather and time of day factors into the decisions.

Just him! No singin, no special guests, all Cube. The way it should be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzeZhCt5PVA

IBWin wit my crewin! Bonnie & Clyde Theme! It's A Man's World! She was good on that to counter Cube's insults, roasted him good. Haha, this is funny, I'm selling my Yo-Yo tapes on ebay right now...I should wait until her show comes out.

Disco Duck LOL Nice. He's not wrong for complaining, he cares about what hip-hop has become.

I just heard a mashup of Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot" with AC/DC's "Back In Black" on the radio last week. Anyone know where to get it or does someone have it?
-
I can just picture a soccer mom bumpin "Gangsta Like Me" while taking her 8 year old to his game... :smartass: Y'all are right, I shouldn't make a big deal about it. That's just the state of hip-hop right now.
-
First 50 Cent goes on to promote his movie, now Snoop Dogg is on promoting his album???? What is going on here? These gangsta rappers got suburban kids into buying their music, now they want to hook their moms and grandmas???? They say his album (which is mediocre even by rap standards) has singing in it now (no surprise he would fall into that), but the album's still full of violence, weed and pimpin, things a soccer mom watching The View would be disgusted with. What's next...Flo Rida going on Country Music Television promoting his album? "I's from da south, just like y'all". IMO, this is selling out at the highest level to get the almighty record sale, even from the wrong people.

Sam: "Well, that was useless". Max: "Yea, like those tax forms we keep finding in our mailbox". - Sam & Max Hit The Road PC game. Classic.

I didn't see this posted before, so here ya go. Apparently it's a comp of unreleased songs from the past few years, but it flows like a complete album. I like it much better than Hip Hop Lives. http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/...+In+Emceein.htm

This dude's hilarious. He's a cross between Suga Free & E-40. He even has the "Gangsta Granny" bits like W.C. used to. 78 minutes of music for $5. Great album. http://www.dubcnn.com/releasedates/drstank/

Just found this on Napster. I love the original "Round & Round", so getting the original singer AND KRS on the song is :1-eek: even though his vocals are not as good as the original. The last track is weak, the others are OK. http://www.emusic.com/album/KRS-One-We-Wil...d/11032702.html

Chuck D Of Public Enemy Wants Def Jam Presidency

This is just another step in the cleansing and rebuilding of true rap music. I hope he gets the job. -
Question about "Live at Union Square"
dparrott replied to viber_91's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
The 20 min low quality version is the rare version, it has a radio call station in the middle somewhere. -
Looking for Fat Boys - "The Fat Boys Are Back" album in good quality (from CD if possible). I have good quality versions of the first and third albums, plus rare remixes if wanted. -- insert Ready Rock C beat box smilie here --

"Giants all the way baby!!!!!" Against the Dolphins? That's a given, although it was closer than I thought it would be. This makes me miss the old WLAF/NFL Europe, which had a London team.

Sweet. He almost lost to a country singer too!

I've loved Dub-C ever since he had the Maad Circle (great first album if y'all don't know!), and though he kinda sold out on his last album (it was on Def Jam, so it's to be expected), the true WC is back! This time on Ice Cube's label, his new album is great, full of hard west coast beats, not a lot of singing, and classic WC flows and rhymes. The last track is kinda weak due to it's slow commercialized beat, but I'll overlook that. Another example of how true hip-hop is not dead.
