THANKS! Downloading as we speak... :signthankspin:

...but no one (other than the hype fan) can remember one word to that song...so it ends up just like "Stronger." I like "Stronger" and am ok with that, yet I know it's substance is lacking. The thing is, "Switch" is just the same because perception is reality, and no one really can remember what Will said in that song because it was made for the radio. Even for me, who listens to all Will has, I have a tough time remembering the words to a song that you would think I would know. It's just not the focus of the song so it doesn't get any more accomplished than any other pop song.

yessssssssss please :respect:
-
I was surfing the main page of this site..... And supposedly for Lost and Found, in addition to the Tim Westwood track, Will did the freestyle: "Don't Hate Him Freestyle/Unreleased Track" I'm not sure if it has ever been up but could someone, if possible, re-up it?! :signthankspin:

The Game- "Beautiful Life" Doctor's Advocate (Unreleased)

a guy just getting signed can't enter hip hop without energy. Jazzy has every right and ability to be content. Rhymefest is in no way at that place yet. He has to be hungry and fight to get his word out. His song with lil jon is a great example. Really strong, mainstream beat with a definite true hip hop feel. Rhymefest may fall, but it's better to have tried...

his first with mention of jazzy...which makes me wonder why they don't get something going for a song it's over "Hip Hop Lives"...he starts slow and picks up some confidence on the tail end of the track... http://videos.onsmash.com/v/JpCn8IT9wv34DnDK common and will.i.am it's over "Lost One" and will.i.am surprises me with the way he goes... http://videos.onsmash.com/v/M5Xgl5DgUWrAFJcf fun stuff...

5 movies in a row that grossed over 100 mil, you have a strange defintion of a "bad movie selection." Give IAL a chance Peter Jackson wasnt exactly Hitchcock before he did LOTR. welll the only movie i can't watch twice of will's is i, robot...i really enjoyed wild, wild, west... but will said it himself: "Ya, I mean I always do get that big box office...but sometimes people go that opening weekend before they know how bad it is."

a little harsh? yikes lol
-
I agree...definitely go get it... The album is reallllly raw...not something you put on shuffle with the rest of your music...instead it's something you either go from start to finish on it's own or shuffle within the album itself...

Amen to the topic of this post. Seriously. Lil Wayne has never impressed me. Last year I picked up DJ Khaled's debut CD, "Listenn"...there were like 2 tracks with Lil Wayne and I gave the cd many spins because I got to hear Jadakiss and Sigel on the same track along with Freeway feat. Clipse on another track....DJ Khaled's CD "We the Best" (that just came out) is absolutely flooded with Lil wayne and it's disgusting. It feels like a cheap mixtape because Lil Wayne has oversaturated himself and the problem is, unlike Nas or Busta Rhymes (who at separate points flooded mixtapes with so many verses themselves)...Lil Wayne can't think of anything to say. If he was smart, he'd really limit his exposure as he could then hide his many faults and get along on his quips alone. Doing what he does now risks the general public realizing how bad he really is.

definitely smart business decision... jazzy is doing it right... a surprise release of his CD early..now this? I think he's a genius (or whoever is doing his marketing) to grab his niche market and use it to grow hype to a larger crowd.

bringing out the old thread ha...not a fan of adding to it... but it's too good a debate to jump in...considering it is now becoming relevant (with all the whispers of a possible JJFP reunion) Interscope any other day would force Will to stay Will Smith for the movie go-ers and "switch" groupies to not be confused (with the IQ some have, it may be hard to put 2 and 2 together lol)....buttt now that it's cool to hate commercial rap and anything that seems dumbed-down, too gangsta.....could we see Fresh Prince not only allowed but pushed by Interscope under the new Hip Hop realm...?

it's weird...I remember getting ahold of some of stack's stuff back in 04 and loving alot of it... "bundles hot" was absolutely the most fun i could have listening to a track and what's funny...is he KNEW it, so he put out a remix to a mixtape single?! ahh "take a picture" was so fun with the NFL theme song flipped... ahh oohh and "kitty kitty" was sick.. lyrically he was great in rhyming and keeping his flow tight..maybe not the most socially conscious dude I did not like stuff like "get ya dead" or the junk with Jim jones.. but in the end, he will be missed...my friend 2 weeks ago was wanting to get those songs again from me...which is really weird considering the coincidence that he passes so soon after his name comes back up in conversation. Rest in Peace Stacks

Nick Speed produced this song...so ya the scratches are fun and all, but just to clarify...jazzy didn't produce this song.. I guess more Legend DJ's are doing this more cause the new producers seem to call on em... (i.e.- "The Game" By Common is a Kanye-produced ol' school NY beat...but it's got DJ Premier on the scratching) edit: p.s.---the whole cd is tight...I have my hands on an advanced copy...good stuff

i think it's a matter of an intern putting in the wrong data... pocket full of paper is a young buck ft. jeezy song so they could just be dumb about getting the right names
-
I lost my hearing. thanks to that.
-
thanks bigtime!! it's weird as it only is like once in each song yet when listening I almost wait for the skip just so it can be over with haha thanks again!
-
amen. Jay's lyrics did that beat justice.
-
Both my "Comin' to the Stage" and "We Won't" skip like 2/3rds in.... anyone have non-skipping ones?

When u are so fake in your music, u surprise people. I didn't watch the video cuz my computer would blow up. But i can imagin 50 Cent giving them props which would make me think "why is your music so bad and so stupid ...yet u give props 2 intellegent legends who were actually real in their music." I can imagin KRS-One being a team player like FP, who shows him respect even tho' crappy artists like him are torn apart in his music. AJ, you nailed it on the head...I mean 50 was like "it's an honor to be sitting with you" and KRS responded praising 50 saying the honor was really his...then KRS furthered it by saying that 50 is an "MC" not just a rapper...and people don't like it because he's competitive. ugh.
-
hahaha it was funny. I was hoping best performance woulda gone to will...
-
Well I mean it's KRS and Marley.....like he'd really be pushing his luck if came at them any other way than thanking them. Plus, like you could take any punk kid, and have him sit on a couch with his idol, and he'd shut up enough because he would be star struck. I think it was interesting when KRS mentioned Nas, because 50 just seemed to observe the direction in which KRS took the statement....Also, when they played Hip-Hop Lives, you saw 50 out of his element because he's listening to the music that isn't all Timbaland, Dre-style...it's real raw and he kinda was just quiet and not sure where to go...if it was Ballin, or another song he likes that's all high-production he'd be like all into it... I think he's one interesting interview but that's about it...
