  1. I've seen the video. It sucks!!! JJFP should sue Lil' Romeo & Nick Cannon for defamation of a classic hip-hop track! That was straight garbage. :puke:
  2. This has been posted before and after I say this I will lock this post. Affirmative Action is a no-go. The next movie Will is planning on is The Pursuit Of Happiness.
  3. It sounds good in all three but when I'm listening to it on my IPod I can pick up sounds that I wouldn't pick up in the car or the stereo at home. Come to think of it, I haven't even played L&F on my home system yet. I've only played it on my IPod & car.
  4. I like all of the tracks but if I had to choose one then it would be Could You Love? If I had responded to this when the post was first posted then I would have said If U Can't Dance. That song has grown on me so much that it's one of my favorite tracks now. Could You Love Me? is a laid-back track which is cool. It sets you up for Loretta but it comes after 5 straight heaters(tracks 6-10).
  5. :kekeke: :hilarious: Who else would be #1? Will invented this rapper-actor thing!
  6. Actually, I'm gonna go with Pump Ya Brakes. I think that phrase "pump ya brakes" could catch on. Also, I think having Snoop on the track will really help too. It's a real cool, laid back hip-hop track. I love Pump Ya Brakes. Party Starter is great too but I actually think it would be better for Will to stay away from this song and go with Pump Ya Brakes.
  7. I didn't post it over there. I rarely go to the other board. I know that it's the official site but this board is just plain better. If anyone reads People then I'm sure you'll see the "ooh, Will and Jada are so hot together! Who else thinks so?" posts. :kekeke: :hilarious:
  8. The reason why Bill O'Reilly won't interview KRS-One is because O'Reilly doesn't want to have a rapper with intelligence on his show. He had Cam'ron and Damon Dash on there because it reinforces his propaganda that rap is trash. Like big media and big record companies, O'Reilly doesn't want to hear from real MCs because it defuses his argument that rap music is violent, misogynistic and hateful. You won't see KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Will, Mos Def or Common on there because they're positive rappers. The whole deal with O'Reilly is he tried(and successfully) to get Pepsi to drop their endorsement deal with Ludacris. O'Reilly painted Luda as raunchy, misogynistic rapper with vile, lewd lyrics. Pepsi dropped Luda and Luda has been pissed ever since. He also has gone after other rappers but he doesn't go after people like The Osbournes(who, coincidentially also had a Pepsi deal the same time as Luda but O'Reilly didn't demand that Pepsi drop them). This is the same Ozzie Osbourne who bit a bat's head off during a concert some years ago and is the lead singer of Black Sabbath, one of the raunchiest rock bands of the 70's & 80's(go and try to find some of their lyrics). O'Reilly hates rap music(most white, male conservatives do though) and he wants to shut rap down. That's why he'll continue to talk about 50 Cent and other rappers but won't talk to KRS-One. He wants you to believe that ALL rap music is bad.
  9. Will ranks #12 on the list of total gross($1.8 billion). His average of $120 million per movie is one of the highest in Hollywood. Other than Eddie Murphy, no other African-American actor has grossed more than Will. To see the full list, go to this link to see the list of actors, how much they've grossed, their average and their best movie. Box Office Mojo - Highest Grosses
  10. I don't want to be negative about this but I get the feeling that "black radio" won't play it. It's a mature song and these radio stations are all about ratings. Having Mary J. Blige might help but I doubt it. Here in Chicago, nobody is talking about L&F on "black radio" and only one station, the "top 40/pop" station, is playing Switch on a somewhat consistent basis. 50 Cent, Game, G-Unit get the majority of airplay here on the "black stations." It's really sad where radio has fallen off to. It's the main reason why I carry my IPod around - so I can listen to the music I want to listen to when I want to listen to it. It's also the reason why "big radio" is taking a bit of a hit these days. More and more people are starting to want control over the music they listen to.
  11. Updated Numbers: Domestic: $176.6 million Overseas: $175.8 million Worldwide: $352.4 million There seems to be a bit of a slowdown for Hitch this past week in the overseas market after posting just under $6 million in the past week. Overseas numbers are a bit tricky to stay on top off, though. Hitch still ranks #5 on the worldwide romantic comedy list but with another strong push, and big numbers in Japan, it could move up to #2 on the list. Here is the list as it stands now: 1. Pretty Woman - $463.4 million 2. What Women Want - $374.1 million 3. There's Something About Mary - $369.9 million 4. My Big Fat Greek Wedding - $368.7 5. Hitch - $352.4 million Domestically, Hitch is about $1.8 million away from the #3 spot on the all-time romantic comedy list. Should it overtake Pretty Woman, Hitch will likely finish at #3. My Big, Fat Greek Wedding is at $241 million and What Women Want is at roughly $183 million.
  12. People Magazine has once again released its 50 Most Beautiful People list. Although Will didn't make it(Jamie Foxx did though), he & Jada were chosen as one of the 12 Most Beautiful Couples. Congrats...(like we really needed People Magazine to validate that Will & Jada are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood)! Other couples include Justin Timberlake & Cameron Diaz, Ashton & Demi and Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson.
  13. My first JJFP CD I bought was Big Willie Style. I got Code Red as a Christmas present in '93. I went back and bought He's The DJ, Homebase, and AITC.
  14. I just finished Phil Jackson's latest book, The Last Season: A Team In Search Of Its Soul. I'm getting to start reading The Bourne Legacy by Eric Van Lustbader.
  15. IT'S OFFICIAL!!!! After finishing the weekend with roughly $740,000, Hitch has officially overtaken 4th place on the all-time romantic comedy list with $176.5 million. Hitch is now less than $2 million away from overtaking Pretty Woman($178.4 million) for 3rd place all-time. Overseas numbers will be released this week. :thumb:
  16. Hitch's opening weekend of over $43 million is the biggest opening weekend ever for a romantic comedy. Its overall total of $176.6 million is the 4th biggest romantic comedy of all-time.
  17. Update: Hitch dropped 3 spots to #15 this weekend at the box office but that's not the news. With its $750,000 weekend estimate total, Hitch has now passed There's Something About Mary into 4th place on the all-time romantic comedy list. If the weekend numbers hold up, Hitch will officially be #4. If not, the movie will certainly surpass that total on Monday. Overseas numbers due Tuesday or Wednesday. :thumb:
  18. the gay references are basically to people who have gossiped about Will being gay or bisexual. he also addresses it in "swagga" when he says "fat, ugly chicks in new york saying i'm gay." that remark was directed toward wendy williams. she is a talk show host(and a bad one at that) who does nothing but spread false rumors. she's said on several occasions that will is gay. she's also spreaded rumors about usher and other celebrities. she basically makes her living talking about people, usually in a negative light.
  19. Switch made the 8 most requested on KISS-FM 103.5 here in Chicago. It came in at #5. KISS-FM is still the only "big" radio station to play Switch. The "urban" radio stations still have yet to play any of Will's stuff. "Black radio/They won't play me, though"
  20. Other than Will's album, there are two hip-hop albums I'm really waiting for. One is The Ambassador(Christian rapper) and the other is Common's new one. I'm lovin' his first single, The Corner.
  21. If Will had to do a sequel then I would choose MIB 3. As much as I loved Bad Boys I & II, I think it's run its course. I really think, if the writers put their minds to it, that they could come up with a helluva script for MIB 3.
  22. In the April 25th edition of People Magazine, they review Will's Lost & Found. They thought that "Here He Comes" was "supercorny" and said that Will had about as much hip-hop credibility as Peter Parker. They also thought that "Tell Me Why" was pretty bad too. They did like "I Wish I Made That" and said that Will has surprisingly good songs on the CD. The review also mentions a song that people should download and, of course, they picked "Switch." All in all, they gave it 2.5 out of 4 stars.
  23. Well the NBA Playoffs are here. Who do you think is going to win? Here are my pics: Eastern Conference: Miami over New Jersey in 6 games Chicago over Washington in 7 games Indiana over Boston in 6 games Detroit over Philadelphia in 5 games Heat over Bulls in 5 games Pistons over Pacers in 6 games Heat over Pistons in 7 games Western Conference: Phoenix over Memphis in 6 games Dallas over Houston in 6 games Seattle over Sacremento in 6 games San Antonio over Denver in 7 games Mavericks over Suns in 6 games Spurs over Sonics in 6 games Spurs over Mavericks in 6 games NBA Finals: Spurs over Heat in 6 games
  24. As a lifelong Bulls fan, I can't really get all excited about Reggie Miller. Don't get me wrong, I respect him as a great player but I'm not going to all lovey-dovey about him either. I guess it's because he's been such an pain-in-the-neck against my Bulls for so long. That being said, I hope he and the Pacers beat the Celtics in the playoffs.
  25. I agree with AJ. I think he shows love to his fans when he sees them. Listen to "Could You Love Me?" and I think that tells the whole story about Will and his attitude towards his fans. When you're hot, everybody wants to be your friend and everybody wants to get at you. It's when you hit a few snags that you find out who your "real" fans are. How does someone go from selling 10 mil. to 3 mil. to 500K? It happens when you got "fair-weather" fans. I think Will knows who his real fans are. I don't think he has to do promo giveaways or stuff. He can show his love for the fans by continuing to make classic albums(yeah, I'm calling Lost & Found a classic) and great movies. Keep pushing and doing your thing, Will.
