Updated Numbers: Domestic: $175.5 million Overseas: $170.4 million Total B.O.: $345.9 million Hitch continues to make strides at the international box office. With its international total eclipsing $170 million, Hitch's worldwide total has passed $340 million. The romantic comedy was #1 in Greece, Portugal and The Netherlands. Keep in mind, the movie has yet to open in Japan. The movie will definitely finish above $350 million and will now set its sights on $375 million worldwide.

I liked him as a player when he was on the Saints. R.I.P. :sad6:

I guess the insanely, large Chicago Bulls banner below could be the dead giveaway but heck I'll say it anyway. I am from the world's greatest city: CHICAGO, IL., USA

Update: The weekend estimates have been released and Hitch came in at #12 with an estimated $1.2 million. That brings its total to $175.4 million. It's still another $1.3 million short from taking over the #4 all-time spot on the romantic comedy list. Actual numbers are released on Monday night. Overseas numbers will come out either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I've got Switch nailed. I know most of Ms. Holy Roller, Lost & Found and Mr. Nice Guy. I've got half of Tell Me Why, I Wish I Made That/Swagga, Pump Ya Brakes and Here He Comes. The rest is still a little hard to pick up.

I, too, am a Star Wars freak. I hate to burst everyone's bubble but the upcoming Star Wars film will be the last one. George Lucas has publicly stated that Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith will be the last Star Wars film to be made. Keep in mind that there are three chapters after Return Of The Jedi. *NSYNC was supposed to have a cameo in Attack Of The Clones. Lucas' kids wanted to see *NSYNC in a cameo role but Star Wars bloggers went nuts and Lucas quickly nixed the idea.

I would choose either I'm Comin', Here He Comes, Y'all Know or Born To Reign.

"though I was wack 'cause I wanted to act/ now every brother and his mother in rap be trying to do that." - Don't Say Nothing, 1997 Will's been called a sellout for many reasons. AJ was right when he talked about FPOBA but it also has to do with the fact that Will didn't curse or shoot people in his rhymes. I remember Ice-T going on the Arsenio Hall show and calling JJFP "Mickey Mouse music". The fact that Will did "clean" music and attracted masses of fans, it was perceived that he was "selling out." I always found that to be interesting considering over 70% of people who buy rap music are white/non-black. The fact that Will didn't settle for "following everybody when it's time to rap" meant that he wasn't really "black". He's been called soft or wack throughout his whole career. It's the reason he's getting dissed by "a bunch of clowns with a bunch of cliques" like G-Unit. What these clowns need to understand is that there wouldn't be movie deals if Will doesn't break through. There wouldn't be TV shows if FPOBA wasn't a huge smash. Cats wouldn't get endorsement deals if MC Hammer didn't pave the way. It seems like these "clowns" don't know their hip-hop history and don't really care to know.

I've heard Switch being played at several NBA games. I think the first time I heard it was when the Bulls were playing the Nets in New Jersey a little over a month ago. I have also the song in Los Angeles(Lakers game), Detroit(Pistons game), Chicago(Bulls game) and I think Houston(Rockets game). It's making the rounds which is a good thing.

I gotta agree with AJ. I've been down with JJFP since '87 and Homebase is my favorite JJFP album.

Numbers Update: After spending 8 weeks in top 10(2 of those at #1 and 6 weeks in the top 5), Hitch has finally fallen out of the top 10 pulling in an estimated $1.7 million. That brings Hitch's total to $173.7 million. Hitch will need about $2.8 million to overtake There's Something About Mary and move into 4th place all-time.

They keep changing. Today it's: 1. Here He Comes 2. Wave Em Off 3. Tell Me Why 4. Lost & Found 5. I Wish I Made That/Swagga 6. Mr. Nice Guy
-
I'd give them a 9. I think all of the beats were pretty good. The only one that was kinda of average was If U Can't Dance. Mr. Nice Guy has the wicked rock guitar riff and I love the violins & organs in Lost & Found.
-
I think the only time he should use Fresh Prince is when Jeff is with him. I don't mind the whole "Big Will" or "Will Smith" references. It's not about the name, it's about the music. Will's new album is hot for a reason - the music is great. I mean, does it really matter what name he's using when he's making classic music like Lost & Found? He can call himself "Mr. Bigglesworth" for all I care as long as the music he's making is real and from the heart.

Hitch has finished in the top 10 again this week bowing out at #9 with $3 million this weekend. That brings Hitch's U.S. total to $171.3 million. $180 million seems like the more likely finish for Hitch, one of the biggest romantic comedy hits in cinematic history. Hitch now ranks #5 on the all-time list for romantic comedy. It is the biggest grossing movie of 2005(but that is due to change with several blockbusters coming out this spring & summer, most notably Star Wars, War Of The Worlds and Batman Begins).
