  1. JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT - Can I Go Now Barenaked (2002)
  2. KELLY CLARKSON - Because of You Breakaway (2005) One of the best pop rock albums ever.
  3. Very interesting. That documentary featured that late 90'sish looking pic of JJ+FP with him. It looks like their past and legal beef co-exists with some kind of respect. They needed each other but it's clear that JJ+FP was the talent and Word Up Records was just the stepping stone. I had no idea Da Youngsta's were part of the Goodman family. I know they were cool with JJ+FP but I didn't know about the connection. I think I remember looking in my Three Times Dope cassette cover at one point and I remember them shouting out JJ+FP as well. Interesting stuff.
  4. In agreement for JJ+FP to not sue the Goodman family for jacking their song, they will do a remixed version of "Scary Story" that has Dana Goodman saying his own lines in the song. lol
  5. Thanx! Didn't JJ+FP end on bad terms with Dana Goodman? I find it strange that they'd do a remake under those conditions. That was ages ago, I guess.
  6. Yeah, I got it too. It's one of the best R-N-B albums I've heard in years! I was sad 2 see the remix wasn't on there.
  7. KIERNAN MCMULLAN - Borderline Perfect People Are Boring (2009) I'm seeing him perform tomorrow nite. Can't wait.
  8. U know, my attitude is kinda like "leave the classic alone!" but they did a dope job on this. The production is dope. It's a perfect mix of the old with the new. The vocals are nice too. Is there a place to get this?
  9. Why are "guests" making replies in this post so much? It seems like this missing music video is one of Hip-Hop's biggest mystery's. You think after all these years and everyone making so much money they'd work out something the video to this classic available?
  10. BABYFACE + MARIAH CAREY - Everytime I Close My Eyes The Day (1996) I have almost all of his albums. I think The Day is is best. U need to pick up that one. He released it 3 years after For The Cool In You.
  11. BABYFACE - Never Keeping Secrets For The Cool In You (1993)
  12. BRITT NICOLE - Walk On The Water (Acoustic) Acoustic (2010)
  13. That was dope. I knew they were on good terms again but I didn't know they were doing shows and another album. This is great news. If anyone can pick up where they left off over 15 years ago, Pete Rock + C.L. Smooth can. That track is great. I hope the remix is on John Legend's album and not just a download.
  14. I think this is an awful idea. Tupac Resurrection was amazing. There is no need for another 2Pac movie...period. I just hate seeing people play real life people and how writers can create someone's life story and make appear as fact when they may not have it right (anyone see VH1's awful Michael Jackson biopic Man In The Mirror or their MC Hammer movie?). Why they say alot of things in that article to show that they have a fairly accurate view of 2Pac, there's just no reason do to this. I feel as they can only mess this up.
  15. Let's be honest. Those cartoon versions never lasted long and ultimately are forgotten...and for a reason. Many of those shows also had characters that were very fictional in their make-up (aka nothing like real people). On top of that, the cartoon industry is so different these days. Today's cartoon industry wouldn't be able to even attempt to do FPoBA justice. I say leave the legacy alone unless they want to do a reunion special where the cast gets together and shows highlights, bloopers, and memories. No movies, no cartoons, no new episodes.
  16. MARQUES HOUSTON - Noize Mattress Music (2010) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVbVMkj1qPM The new album is good but not on the level of his 1st 3. The entire album is about...well, the title says it all. It gets a bit repetitive and a few of the songs are too influenced by top 40 "R-N-B" but this is still a good album. Brakes, check it out!
  17. I'm sure this will generate success and money but to be honest, I could care less about news like this. New Bad Boys and Men In Black movies have been green lighted so the only news I really care to hear is about new music.
  18. It looks like Mark will be stepping back to the mic...just now the way people like myself want him to. He made the comment a few weeks ago that he would return to the mic is Justin Bieber asked him to because his 6 year old daughter loves him. Justin was on Ellen the other day and when she told him about that he said something like "Yeah, I'll do it...it's Marky Mark." I know that if he keeps his word it'll just be for a song but I'm really hoping it gets alot of success and turns into more. I mean, music has always been a part of him but he's suppressed it and he wants 2 do it or he wouldn't have put it out there. I'm hoping he's not just kidding....lol. We'll see what happens.
  19. Khia has always disgusted me. She has no talent. And when she was on MC Serch's show on VH1, it also showed how obnoxious of a person she is. --------------------------------------------------------- Khia Notches Her 20th Arrest * Posted Sep 13th 2010 12:00PM by Sharks 'My Neck, My Back' rapper Khia was arrested once again this past Wednesday, Sept. 8. The self-proclaimed "Thug Misses" has a history of run-ins with the law, and a collection of mugshots to rival Ma Barker, yet this most recent charge has to be one of the most confusing. Khia, 32, was arrested in Gwinnett County, Georgia on Wednesday evening, charged with "endangering security interest," and released after posting $1,300 bond, just a few hours later. Apparently, the obscure charge refers to an incident whereupon an automobile owner has defaulted on their vehicle's financing and then refuses the repo company to take back the vehicle. 20. Very cool. Was it just me or did FP look like he taped that in 1998? Seriously. It looks like he just stepped out of the "Just The Two of Us" video. U know, a few years ago they did a song for this event.....hmmmmmmm.....
  21. So, MTV's Video Music Awards for 2010 has come an gone. A network that not longer supports music or music videos (other than online) put the party on again. Share your opinions...here are mine. PRE-SHOW: Nicki Minaj is pop-rap trash. Why is she popular. Her performance with Will.I.Am was just awful and she's not very good at lipsyncing. Will.I.Am's all black (including his face) outfit was crazy. He brought energy to the performance but I wasn't impressed since he's just performing today's pop music rather than Hip-Hop. I was surprised that Lady Gaga actually dressed like a lady and also actually looked kinda pretty and feminine. Katy Perry didn't disappoint with her funky get up. She can ditch the greasy, unfunny douche-bag fing...I mean Russell Brand finger nails tho.' The set was amazing. Chelsea Handler is a funny person but as a host I only found her as okay. Saying shocking this for laughter is played out in my opinion. Her opening skit was kinda funny as was Lindsey Lohan's part in it. Eminem opening the show with Rihanna was pretty amazing. He was aggressive and one point with tons of energy. Many of us have welcomed him back to greatness and this performance was a manifestation and celbration of that. Rihanna's quirky but pretty appearance was refreshing. It reminded me that she is an amazing talent and that there's hope that her future music will reflect that since her current music doesn't. From the nominations in the Rock category I made me realize that I think today's rock music is also in an awful state. I've never been into rock by with groups like Lifehouse and Nickleback having new albums, I don't know why anyone would like the groups that were nominated. Kim Kardashian looked amazing (as always) and I thought her little opening to Justin Beiber's performance was very funny. I don't know anything about Justin Bieber but I thought his performance was good. You could see an influence from past groups that I liked in his performance. I think he was singing/lipsyncing over the track tho.' I was amazing to see him get thrown up in the air and his voice was unaffected...lol. While Usher's current music is a disgrace compared to his music up thru' 2006, his performance was dope. It was too Hollywood but the set and the dancing was amazing (and very MJ influenced). I made a note at this point asking why Lady Gaga kept winning awards. She must have been beating artist that I thought better deserved the awards. I thought cast members from GLEE were very awkward as they presented Lady Gaga an award. Rosario Dawson looked flawless during her bit introducing. Taylor Swift performed an awesome song. The set was amazing and other than some pitchy spots during the 2nd half of the song, her performance was amazing. There wasn't one dash of country in her song and that's the way I like it. The subject matter was putting Kanye West in his place without attacking him. The video clip of his idiotic behavior set the song up perfectly. Kanye was so nervous about her performance that he only agreed to perform if it was after Taylor's performance. Next up was Drake's performance. I've heard alot of his music and I think he's corny and awful. I didn't mind his performance tho.' Mostly because Mary J. Blige's feature in his song was stunning and flawless. She brought the house down. The subject matter of his song was good, tho' some of his "common commercial rapper" traits took away from how great the song could be lyrically. When the Hip Hop award came around I was so happy that Eminem won it. I don't know if my top choice won any awards that night until then. I just remember finally being happy with the choice. B.O.B.'s performance was short and choppy but good. He should have had more stage time because cutting his songs short like that limited him. I'm not into Paramore but as it flowed into their song, I thought they were good. Cher coming out in her see thru' outfit from '89 was awesome. She certainly knows how to take care of herself because there's alot of people who are younger than her who gross me out wearing that. Last up was Kanye West's performance. The good part was the beat. It was good. The rest wasn't. His outfit was ridiculous...a bright red suit and a black tank top. Did he think he had a guest spot on an 80's cop TV show? His lyrics didn't make sense to me. Was he condemning himself for being an idiot or was he celebrating his idiocy? I don't know. Vocally he is always awful. And didn't he say his new album wasn't gonna have any singing or vocal distortion? Cuz this song had plenty of it. And he jacked LL Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out" fire from the ceiling bit. Kanye is awful period. What a crappy way to end the show. Overall the show was okay. I was surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did since today's current music is so bad. MTV needs to air music videos again so that the popular state of music can change faster to something better.
  22. I hate when people recycle names. But I guess that other P-Nut guy wasn't exactly famous enough to establish the name.
  23. That was cool. I have a few of those interview segments on tape somewhere from their original airing.
