Overall I hope this doesn't happen. With the Twilight garbage being popular it will just come across and trendy stuff. On the other hand, when everyone heard he was doing Men In Black they were like "oh no, not another alien movie." When we saw the trailer, everyone was like "oh, this alien movie is nothing like Independence Day." Could this movie work and be good...probably. Do I wanna see it happen? Not really. Other than Bad Boys 3 and MIIIB, I'm not excited for ANY of the movie news I've heard. Enough is enough...time for a new album. :monkey1:

Happy B-Day!

That's really interesting. It's definitely something new for the family. I've never seen something on Broadway (or even off Broadway) but I'm pretty sure I'd go and see that if they did it. I remember watching the movie to that show back in high school. I wasn't interested in it much back then. Maybe I'll watch it again as an "adult."

This performance was either late 1993 or early 1994. I don't know the exact title but it was an American Music Awards special...but not the actual award show. "I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me)" was released in late fall/early winter and the special was prior to the award show. The did "I Wanna Rock" for the actual AMA's. I remember SWV in the crown loosing it...maybe that's what led to Coko being on "Men In Black" 3 years later. I remember Kenny G awkwardly getting into their performance too...lol. The award show was either December '93 or early '94. As I get settled into the new house I plan going thru' my 100's of VHS's and getting them transfered to DVD before they decay into oblivion. From there I'll potna with my computer genius so I can share some of it online.

ICE CUBE - It Was A Good Day The Predator (1992) Either this joint or "You Know How We Do It" is my favorite Ice Cube joint. Flawless.

Happy B-day! I'm not sure what that smiley has to do with your birthday...I just wanted to use it.

Yep Yep...I watched that when it 1st aired on TV and taped it. That actually wasn't from an award show tho.' They did "I Wanna Rock" for the award show. This performance was from a special that focused on the award shows of the past that featured live performances.

FRESH PRINCE - Just Cruisin' Men In Black II Soundtrack (1997) Instead of the real video, I thought I'd post this. It's kinda funny. If u get passed LL's "I'm Bad" and Eazy's "Compton City G's" u can see someone's take on "Just Crusin'" that features FP doing some awful driving. The funny part is close to the end where he's driving down the beach after a girl. It reminded of the line on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air that went something like "I don't care how pretty she is, you can't drive on the sidewalk!."

ALLURE + LL COOL J - No Question Allure (1997)

LL COOL J - Summer Luv Loungin' (CD Single) (1996) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UbF1jchLFw I love this joint. I forgot he made a video 2 it. It's so random to make a video for a b-side off one of your singles when your album is still going strong.

Tom Cruise and Will Smith 'power lunch' at cheesy LA bar
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Will Smith Movies
It's clear that Tom will will probably not return to greatness. Teaming up with FP is a good move for him but by only producing, it'll keep FP's career in a safe place. -
U just got me in the mood for the The Show soundtrack... 2PAC - My Block The Show Soundtrack (1995)

GINUWINE - Last Chance A Man's Thoughts (2009) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxoZ3IxxPeE What brand of crack are you on?!?! Ginuwine is one of the best to ever do it!! He was never on Bad Boy. His 1st 2 albums were very involved with Timbaland and Static (from Playa...R.I.P.). After that he branched out and only occasionally worked with Tim. I was disappointed when he started standing on his own (away from the sound Timbaland provided him) but was happy that his sound only became more timeless and not too far from what he started out with.

I love the was you are racing the rhyme on this. Nobody ever "exerts" themselves in their flow anymore. I'll have to listen 2 it again later 2 hear the lyrics. Nice work. My favorite part...the Shabba Ranks dance...lol.

That is my least favorite song off of Salon Stories. It also happens 2 be the kinda song that could get him some mainstream followers tho.' GINUWINE - When We Make Love Back II Basics (2005) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaJKGRS3DjU How come it's so hard to find R-N-B like this these days?!

Visqo, I hated that 1st joint...but I love the 2 u just posted! The Pacewon's raspy voice just made me break out some Nine. This was a freakin' classic back in the day! NINE - Whucha Want Nine Livez (1994)

Yeah, I 1st heard this on Facebook. I think redoing a song is a risky move. The plus side is that you'll get people checking out the song that ordinarily wouldn't check it out but u also have the tough challenge of making your take on it as dope as the song you are redoing. I love the flow on the 1st verse. I love the lyrics to the 2nd verse but I think the flow loses it's pace just a little bit. I also feel like you are definitely good but possibly a bit reserved since it's a 1st recording. U sounded a bit stiff here or there (mostly on the adlibs). Almost like you are holding back. Just loosen up a bit before the next recording. Nice effort and nice work making the song your own with those lyrics. We'll be waiting for the next thing.

WHODINI - 5 Minutes of Funk Escape (1984) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSnvkGhRuac Whodini is just classic. In a class all their own. I checked that last song posted. I gotta say that the emcee seemed a bit one-dimensional and the beat was so simplistic...but the worse thing was the guy on the hook. He was so awful I couldn't give the rest of the song a chance. I'll check another song by them tho.'

Most people on this board are a fan of old school Hip-Hop and already know who Young MC is. :::Moving this to the off-topic board:::

If that's true it's because they count double-disc albums as 2 CDs being sold....meaning that it's probably not. Has anything passed Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em or CRaZYSeXyCOol (tho' some would consider that an R-N-B album)? I need 2 listen 2 Big Boi's album. I have to be honest tho.' I'm interested in an new OutKast album, but I'm not excited about it. Back in the 90's they felt like a group...like one unit. They were down to earth but artsy and with an edge. It seems like like their 3rd and 4th album just had them evolving to something that I'm not that into anymore. They don't feel like a real group anymore. They seemed like collaborating artists instead. It just seems like their experimental side as taken them a bit 2 far from their original formula in my opinion. Let's be real, between Speakerboxxx /The Love Below and Idlewild...we haven't had an OutKast studio album in 10 years! 1 was 2 solo discs and the other was a soundtrack...and not very good one at that. I hope this time away brings them back 2 basics.
