I watched the episode and missed the song. Where was it featured in the episode?

I think everyone on this board remembers when Wicked Wisdom was doing their thing. I don't remember us getting in2 them that much. I certainly just can't really get in them. When they 1st came out, wasn't their style more eclectic? I remember traces of rock, soul, and hip-hop and pop. Then they 2nd round was this awful metal stuff, right? I remember Tim sending me this song Jada did about FP and 2Pac which i liked. It's amazing 2 see how vocally confident Jada went from "1000 Kisses" 2 this. I'm not in 2 the WW metal stuff, but she goes for it and she gets it...it's just weird...ha ha.

I stayed up really late watching it on various channels. The whole thing was great. I was impressed at the line up and the vibe of the entire service. I didn't expect it to be so much like a funeral and so uplifting. I didn't expect so many legends to take center stage. And the younger talent that was participating was appropriate. It was just an amazing memorial. It definitely served it's purpose. I woke up this morning and things do feel a little different. Come level of closure has been acheived.

I had 2 work ALLLLLLL day so i'm just now catching bits and peices of it off BET and VH-1. I've seen Stevie Wonder's, John Mayer's, and Jennifer Hudson's performances. I saw Magic Johnson, Brooke Sheilds, and Al Sharpton speaking. I saw his family together at the end and the closing prayer. Everything so far was very real and very touching. I hope they deside 2 make this available on DVD. I love the heavy spiritual vibe. I wouldn't expect that in these days. His kids are beautiful. I hope the media can lay off them. Still watching...Rest In Peace MJ.

Some questions to ponder..
JumpinJack AJ replied to DevilsJim89's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I mentioned the JJ+FP/MJ track in the MJ post but nobody really ever replied any interest in it. The track was recorded around the time of Willennium but was intended for MJ's album...not FP's. I'm sure alot of MJ's stuff will be released over the years. Hopefully the JJ+FP/MJ track does come out without them taking the rap(s) off. U never know, this loss could get FP thinking about music again. -
"Jeff Waz On The Beat Box" was on the "I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson" 12" single and it included an extended mix. I'm not that surprised that they performed it due 2 that.

p.s. Brakes...that is one of the greatest love songs of all time. U should check Ginuwine's new album. It just dropped last week and it's dope.

Old Jazzy Jeff/Fresh Prince Commercial!
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
This is the kinda stuff that needs 2 be in the special features of a JJ+FP DVD. Come on Jive, get it 2gether!! -
The last week i've been drowning myself in MJ's music. Everything. The old, the new, the hits, the b-sides, the remixes...EVERYTHING. I've also been watching all the news coverage that i can. Last night MSNBC aired the interview he did a few years ago with the reporter that caused a good bit of controversy. I think that returning 2 his work so closely while being grown and while being in a very sensitive place due 2 the rough year that i've had, i've been able 2 understand and indentify with his work on a much deeper level. I've never believed any of the negative things that others said about him. I did think MJ was a unique individual (which has alwasy been part of his magic). Of course i don't know anything...i've just never believed it. But going back to this interview that the reporter tried 2 turn everything around negativily, i related 2 MJ more than ever. Seeing him face the questions about his lifestyle, his children, his actions, and his conduct vs. the legal issues he faced, i saw him in a different way. I watched this interview back when it aired on TV years ago but this time i was just really watching everything. His eyes, his body language, his tone of voice. MJ was turely an angel tortured by what his artistry had brought in2 his life. To see such a caring and pure hearted person have 2 deal with everything that he had 2 deal with is just awful.

MICHAEL JACKSON - Ben (Live) Number 1's (2003)

Since the time line is so messed up at this point, it would surprise me if the last 2 seasons were released at the same time. It really is ridiculous that one of the most popular shows of all time is taking this long 2 get the last 2 seasons out. Makes u wonder if it's even a priority at the moment.

The Game Apologizes To 50 Cent, Interscope
JumpinJack AJ replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
I can't see any The Game having any connections 2 MJ. Is there anything else supporting this. I like that he's apologizing. So many people in Hip-Hop and Rap are egotistical crybabies with 2 much pride 2 cover up their insecurities. -
Interview with one of his bodyguards...from AOL News/Popeater... ----------------------------------- Jackson's Guard Tells of Drugs, Girlfriend PopEater posted: 12 HOURS 13 MINUTES AGOcomments: 995PrintShareText SizeAAAMichael Jackson's British bodyguard is coming out and talking about his experiences with the late King of Pop, including claims that Jackson had a secret girlfriend and that drugs were often hidden from Jackson. The claims come from Matt Fiddes, a personal friend of Jackson who also served as his bodyguard during Michael's U.K. stints. During his Sky News interview, Fiddes blames Jackson's death on the doctors in his life, saying "they have Michael's blood on their hands" for allegedly giving him prescription drugs. "They know what they've done and there's people out there who could have helped, could have stepped in but didn't for financial reasons," Fiddes said. Skip over this content Fiddes, 29, says that he and Jackson's friend Uri Geller tried many times to intervene, but "as soon as we said anything and it gets back to Michael, Michael would have a screaming fit that we were interfering with his private life, that he knew what he was doing and he was in denial." He claims that he and Uri "confiscated injection equipment" from Jackson. Still, Fiddes says he "never witnessed him actually taking drugs, but I knew they were there and I confiscated packages, and Uri did too." Among the other claims made by Fiddes is one about Jackson's alleged secret girlfriend. "I'm not going to name who she is but I think the family were aware that there was someone special in his life who he loved and adored and had his ups and downs with," he said.

From AOL/Popeater...the video of this interview was touching. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Jermaine Jackson Says 'I Wish It Was Me' PopEater posted: 6 HOURS 15 MINUTES AGOcomments: 1018filed under: Music NewsPrintShareText SizeAAA With the death of his brother Michael still dominating the headlines, Jermaine Jackson gave an emotional interview to Matt Lauer on 'Today' during which he proclaimed he wishes he was the one who died. Jermaine tells Lauer that after learning about Michael's death, he "felt empty ... I don't know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me. I've always felt that I was his backbone. Someone to be there for him. I was there and he was sort of like Moses, things he couldn't say I would say them." Skip over this content Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy He says the hardest part about that sad day was hearing his mother "crying, saying he was dead. And to hear my mother say Michael's dead, to feel and hear the tone in her voice to say her child is dead, it's nothing that anyone can ever imagine." "There's nothing we can compare to this because we lost our brother, our hero. The world is mourning, we're mourning ... it's unreal, it's unbelievable," Jermaine said about the death of The King of Pop. Jermaine says that upon hearing the news that Michael's health had taken a turn for the worse, he "rushed in the hospital and I went straight to my mother and I wanted to console her. I wanted to see Michael, I wanted to see my brother. Seeing him there lifeless and breathless was very emotional for me, but I held myself together because I know he's very much alive. That was just a shell, but I kissed him on his forehead and I hugged him and I touched him and I said 'Michael, I'll never leave you. You'll never leave me.'" As for reports that Jackson may have abused prescription medicine, which may have led to his death, Jermaine remains skeptical until toxicology reports come back. "Michael has always been a person who was against anything like that. In this business the pressure and things you go through, you never know what one will turn to ... Michael was always concerned about everybody, and to have that weight on your shoulders, to have that pressure ... I don't know," he told Lauer.

"Girls ain't nothing but trouble" single CD ?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Romano338's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
There is no CD single/promo for "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble." There are a few different versions on vinyl only. The original blue labled Word Up release from 1986 featuring the orignal version, the Def Mix, Instrumental and Def Beat. Then there's another Word Up release with this cloudy looking label (i'm not sure the tracklisting, but i know i didn't get it in the past because whatever is on it is on the other versions i have). Then there is the 1987 version with a cover that has "DJ JAZZY JEFF + THE FRESH PRINCE" on it (no pic of them on it tho') with the Oakenfold + Laidly Mix (i forget the rest of the tracklisting). Then there is the version that u have the picture for which is the only Jive release (unless the previous version i just talked about is also from Jive). I have the original 1986 version, the 1987 version and the 1988 version, i can confirm all of the tracklistings later if u like.
