ha ha...probably. I'd had a mixCD i made playing...didn't have the original album in front of me. DJ MAJ feat. AHMAD + 4TH AVENUE JONES - Fallin' WaxMuseum: The Mixtape (2000)

BOARD FIGHT!! I actually like ...Bagger Vance. I love the message and it inspires me everytime i watch it. FP has some amazing lines in that movie. I like Wild Wild West. It's just silly and fun. Alot of it was creative and quirky yet packaged in a way that a mainstream movie audience would still accept it. Seven Pounds is an amazing and heavy movie 2 me. The idea of a tortured man who can't forgive himself and appoints himself as an angle on earth with a mission is just an amazing and selflish concept 2 me. As far as i remember, WWW is the only movie he has really made fun of over the years. When speaking about ...Bagger Vance i remember him not knocking the movie but saying that it and Bagger Vance probably weren't appealing 2 his "black" audience because they saw a black character in those roles during that time. The movies i enjoyed the least were easily I Am Legend and Hancock.

When Did You Fall In Love With Hip Hop?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Turntable's topic in Caught in the Middle
I fell in love from the start. It was the mid-80's bleeding in2 the late 80's. My older cousin used to get all the latest Hip-Hop cassettes and we'd chill in the basement for hours just listening 2 it...talking about songs, learning lyrics, dancing all silly. Run-DMC, LL Cool J, JJ+FP, MC Hammer, Heavy D + The Boyz, Digital Underground were amoungst the favs. Hip-Hop was just so cool 2 us and something that felt like it was made for us as younger kids. My cousins also lived in a more urban area and since that was my home away from home, i grew up living the best of both worlds...hence the saying under my avatar. -

Will Smith is obsessed with Lady Gaga
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I can get down with a song that doesn't have much weight 2 it...but some of her lyrics are so tasteless that it bugs me. I miss the dance music of the 90's....C+C Music Facotry, Ace of Base, Robin S., Aqua, Haddaway, Ce Ce Peniston, Real McCoy, Amber, and the list goes on. -
Let me share this... Things have been tough at work. I have a very VERY VERY difficult person that i have 2 work for. I've been dealing with him for a awhile. I get written up often for stupid stuff. Well, none of that is washed away but i've had an amazing amount of business in the past 3 weeks that has cancelled out the lack that we've had over the last 3 months. We were THOUSANDS of dollars down all year. All that cancelled out. We are making plan for the year. To make up that much money in such a short time is NOTHING short of a miracle. Also, the problems i've been greatly suffering from with the special person who has been in my life that last few years who has changed up their lifestyle for the worse and totally abandoned me is coming back around. She's been contacting me and we hung out the other night. More phone calls, texts, and online conversations have followed. She came in 2 visit me the following day. And last night (the next day), we hung out for the 1st time since November. We went out to a local indi-movie premier that had some of our friends in it which was a formal event. The evening followed with dinner and a long drive. Over the last few days she has talked 2 me alot. Some of the conversations we've had have been a lil' difficult but she's saying and showing plenty that she's gonna wanna give this a real shot in the future. Life isn't perfect, but it's much better than then as it has been. There's still other issues in my life and work 2 be done, but alot of things related 2 the stuff i've shared here is truely turning around. Thank u for those who have prayed for me and thank u 2 those who continue 2 do so. And those of u who are my friend on Myspace or Facebook, u can see a pic of us from that night in my 2009 albums. Please don't comment it tho'...ha ha...i don't want any more attention on it then there might be from out mutual friends. As far as she is concerned, i'm in the middle and figuring my own stuff out. If she knows i wanna be with her now, it'll only complicate things. PRAISE GOD!!

Will Smith is obsessed with Lady Gaga
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Okay, i did pick up the album. I was with a friend who was scanning the radio for a Lady Gaga song and i was feeling spontanious. I must say, she does have the ability 2 sing...but on a handful of songs, she chooses not 2 actually show us that. Also, most of the production is unimaginative but sometimes catchy. The lyrics...ugh. They lyrics are awful. They sound like they are written by a 16 year old girl who has no class. It's mearly candy for the ear with nothing for the mind. -
Heaven's windows have been opening the last 2 days and blessings are pouring down. Life is changing y'all. I feel God's pat on my back saying "Well done." More 2 come...

I have no idea. I just found the single remix on CDnow.com. I didn't know it existed until last night when i was on a B.McKnight kick. Heavy D is just dope His 2005 Hip-Hop album would have been flawless. Never Did It Before, Grown Man Business, and Big Booty Girls are all dope songs. Even the reggae one i'm forgeting at the moment was great. JODECI + FAT DOUG - Come And Talk To Me (Hip Hop Remix) Come And Talk To Me (CD Single) (1992) Man, usually this CD single goes for no less than $30 on ebay. I got it thru' Buy It Now for $3!! Ha ha...classic song....dope remixes.

BRIAN MCKNIGHT + HEAVY D - Grown Man Business (2005) Love this...

After hearing "Rock The Mic" i picked up the album when it dropped. I don't think i've listened 2 it since really. I think i only really liked 5 songs and thought the rest were filler. He's got more talent than most but his production is lacking on alot of the album. His subject matter is hit or miss as well. I love the indie video tho'...when a song is good it doesn't matter if it cost $5 to make the video. This was probably my fav track off the album. Thanx for posting. I'm gonna pop in the CD again 2nite.

I am open 2 hearing new music from both of them. But for nearly 10 years Eminem has been a joke. It's all pop culture and gimmicks. Dr. Dre has surrounded himself with alot of lackluster rappers. He's been in the process of turning himself in a novelty for years.

Will Smith is obsessed with Lady Gaga
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
To be honest, i almost picked up her album when it 1st came out simply cuz the sale price was insanely cheap. I thought her 1st single was good but when i peeped the album, i thought it was straight crap. I've only became interested in giving it another listen since her 2nd single came out. -
BRIAN MCKNIGHT - Someday, Someway, Somehow U-Turn (2003) Man, i'm falling in love with this album all over again. It's takin' me back 2 a good time.

I liked her 1st single. Then i listened 2 her album and didn't like it and passed it by. Then this single came out and it's making me wanna give it another listen. It's just dance pop but i'm gonna give it another chance. I can't see him being hooked on her music like that...ha ha. Hey, maybe he'll drop a verse for a remix. Whatever we can get, right? -
Happy Easter! Good day for the most. Now i'm up super early 2 go in2 work....yuck.
