  1. I haven't heard this. I assume they are just sampling "Forget Me Nots"...just like "Men In Black" did.
  2. Point given. I do remember liking one song he did a few years ago. I think it was called "Sugar" or something. I just remember liking the groove to it. I remember hearing about his charity work and i give him props for that.
  3. Wow...this sucks!! The beat is trash. David Banner is awful as usual. The attempt of a chorus is awful. I like Busta's flow...which just made me miss his music. And Talib is one of my the favs in recent years but i don't see his or Busta's verse very impressive. Thanx for sharing...but i really dislike this. It seems like this song should be lyrically strong and profound but it's not.
  4. Same here! I love this song. Her other new joint is that crappy commercial R-N-B stuff we've hear here for before. But i LOOOOOOOVE this one.
  5. DRAZTIC - The Way I Feel The Image of Pain (2008) I'm lovin' this album!! Reminds of how most Hip-Hop would be if the music didn't get derailed in the mid/late 90's.
  6. I know...ha ha....what idiot actually thinks this. BWS.com, your friends are fools...run and tell them that.
  7. JASON MRAZ - Butterfly We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things (2008)
  8. Hence the reason i avoid these kinds of topics...ha ha. There are some things that are left for interpertation. And usually those things are the important things.
  9. LEFT EYE + WANYA MORRIS - Tampered With The Block Party (CD Single) (2001)
  10. Funny...yes....Tastful...no. Thanx for sharing. Being reminded of Hancock really makes me want Seven Pounds now.
  11. I'm glad this got bumped back up...i wanted 2 watch it yesterday.
  12. MICHELLE WILLIAMS - We Break The Down (Pt. 2) Unexpected (2008)
  13. Awesome! Thanx...i'm hoping 2 see this movie soon!
  14. DESTINY'S CHILD - Game Over Lose My Breath (CD Single) (2004) I'm going out 2 pick up Michelle's 1st secular album after this.
  15. I don't know the Bible inside out, but i try 2 read a little something from it every day, whether it feels like it applies 2 my life or not, but i'm riding with Cozmo!! That's all i gotta say, i hate talking religion, beliefs, and politics.
  16. Music vets need 2 stop worrying about collaborating with the fresher younger talent just 2 feel relevant to radio listeners (your average radio listener is 13 years old and doesn't know what real music is). Just collaborate with talented people. In post cases, for Hip-Hop, it's your peers...people who aren't that "hot" anymore...people who might not have released an album in 4-8 years.
  17. I really hope MIIIB happens. The 2nd one was funny and entertaining. As a movie, it seemed a little 2 fast and undeveloped but overall it was good and it was a huge hit. They just need 2 get the right story. I've never heard any people involved with the MIB movies say they didn't wanna do another...usually i hear them say how they do wanna do another. And it does seem like the kinda movie that would bring FP back 2 music if he isn't already dabbling in it personally. It's cool that we all have different opinions but when we talk about sequels, there is 1 important thing 2 consider...is there a reason for a sequel? ...or do u just wanna see that same charater again. Independence Day 2 was the most ridiculous idea ever. There was no reason for the same characters to face the crisis of aliens destrying the earth...AGAIN. Is there really any reason to revisit the "orgin" of I Am Legend? We all know this cure for cancer was created and developed in2 something that turned people in2 night dwelling zombies. Eventually all normal human life fell victim 2 it and the only reason FP's character survived is becuz he's the smartest man ever who somehow made himself immune 2 it. Yes, the original was good up until the rushed ending which ruined the whole thing 4 me, but why go back and tell a story that we already know and stretch it out for an hour and a half. Whatever bells and whistles they add in could be okay (or stupid) but we already know what it's gonna lead up 2. I Am Legend is not an epic film that has room or reason for another. It was based off a book. Does the book have a prequel? Enemy of the State...is there any practical reason 2 revisit that. It's one of my favorite movies but it's the kinda movie that stands alone. No reason for another. Hitch...another one of my favorite movies...but is there any reason to go back there. Sure, a story could be told but how different could it be. Why would his character be at it again when his outlook changed and his business was shut down. On top of that, the business being exposed wouldn't be sucessful after EVERYONE knew about it. Hancock 2...ugh. The 1st movie was kinda weird, the ending was weird and rushed. The only thing i really liked about this movie is that it had some really funny moments. I think this was probably FP's worst movie. Infact, Hancock and I Am Legend are the only FP movies i only say once at the movie theaters. Pursuit of Happyness...we all probably agree there is no reason to go back here. Whatever story a prequel or sequel could tell would be silly since the original is based off a true story and is about the most climactic times of the characters life. ALI...for awhile they talked about doing a prequel to ALI. I'm no expert on Ali. I'm sure there's more story there but since the original was about the most climactic time of his life, why tell a story on a smaller scale of smaller story. When i think about sequels that would actually work...this is what i personally think. Bad Boys...they are cops. Crime is a never ending thing. FP and Martin are a bottomless pit of funny. They chemistry is rare and unique and perfect. As long as the script is good, they do as many of these as they want. Men In Black...a truely original story that no other movie will ever tell. The set up is easy to come up with orginal stories to. With the right stories, the scripts can keep coming. Wild Wild West...ha ha. Sure, so many people didn't like this...at least not as much as his other movies. But when it comes to sequels, this movie COULD have one. These characters could go back face new things each time with the right script. Of course i know they never will do another one of these (unless they are crazy) but the story and characters allow them 2 go back 2 it if they want and still have options for more stories that can continue the story why letting them stand on their own. I, Robot. I know it's based off a book that i don't believe have other books. I don't really read novels so i don't know. But cinimatically, i could see another if they were very picky with the script. However, i can't fully back this idea becuz like ID4 and I Am Legend, the extremity of the story makes it seem a bit much 2 have the characters (even if it's just FP's) face something like that again. Have your opinions, but actually THINK about if make a sequel would make any sense at all.
  18. Amazing interview!! Thanx!! In that interview, FP seems like himself. He's gotten a little more low key and serious in his interviews but he seems like him old self there. I feel reassured that he said they are working on the prequel of I Am Legend instead of just locking in2 it. It just lets me know that he won't do it unless he feels it's actually gonna be good...even tho' i personally wish he'd just leave it alone. Any more from I Am Legend seems like it'll be a forced film made just 2 make money. I Am Legend wasn't that great of a movie all because of the rushed ending. I love that he came out for Tyler Perry. Tyler has made some truely original movies and FP really needs 2 work him. It'll bring Tyler 2 newer hights and it'll take the 'Prince 2 a place he's never been. Besides, it'll get him away from those Scientogy freaks.
  19. DJ Jazzy Jeff (given), LL Cool J, Common Sense, Heavy D, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Musiq Soulchild, India.Arie. Y'all should be shot for suggestions like Lil' Wayne and T.I.
  20. If anyone sees when it'll rerun, please post. I can't believe my post didn't post. I watched it a 2nd time and narrorated the whole thing for those who won't be able 2 catch it. Oh well. Thanx 4 that Naughty track, Ted. I'm actually not crazy about it. WHAT HAPPENED 2 THERE SOUND!?!?! With Kay Gee back, there is no excuse for that commercial cyber rap beat. I mean, it's not bad like dirty south production, but coming from one of the groups who's consistently had some of the best production ever, it's sad when u hear them on beats like this. They lyrics are good but this isn't on of Treach's better vocal appearances.
  21. I agree on those solo albums being the best. Keep in mind "R U Still Down (Remember Me?)" was not doctored at all. Just unreleased 2Pac put 2gether for a double disc release and it all flowed like one album. The lyrics were great, the production was real, and the whole thing flowed. I can listen 2 both discs from start 2 finish without skipping. "Still I Rise" had The Outlaws re-recording some of their vocals but the the beats were original or just slightly tweeked from the originals. Until The End of Time and Better Dayz were when things started getting out of hand. All the other albums after that are just crap. 2Pac is the ONLY good thing about them for the most part cuz the production is wack which 2Pac would NEVER have settled for and the guests are mostely unrealistic and untalented for 2Pac's music. My dream is that they'll just release everything in it's original form one day. Either that, or let the producers who worked with 2Pac when he waz alive work on the "new" music...Shock-G, Eazy Mo Bee, Soulpower, Warren G, etc... If anyone comes across any more news on Johnny J, please post it.
  22. Well, last night i wrote this extensive review of the show and it looks like it never posted. I'll probably try 2 write it again. I know alot of u had 2 check it. What did u think? I think that it was great. Better than last years. Hip-Hop was truely alive and well for the mainstream 2 see!!
  23. He has some credits on those those albums, but he wasn't really involved. He produced alot of the original versions, took 2Pac's vocals off them and threw them on crappy watered down beats. I'd like to think Johnny J didn't commit suicide...especially if his sentence was short. If that's the case, it's not like he didn't have anything 2 not look forward 2 (getting out).
