  1. I hope this gets included on LL's album like that Ne-Yo remix that popped up on Todd Smith. I'm sick of these dope remixes that have gotten made in the past 3 years that never become available.
  2. I just watch the video on TMZ that was linked up 2 Shaq's freestyle. Soulja Boy's video was so annoying. I like 2 think that alot of these crappy rappers are probably decent people. That they are only idiots in their music. No, he's an annoying guy. I wouldn't associate with him in real life...ha ha. It followed up his video with one of Ice-T saying that his comment were put on that mixtape after the people he was working with asked for his opinion on Hip-Hop and Soulja Boy. Ice-T apologized for coming down on him for being some new young guy 2 the bizness but he stood his ground by saying his song was still garbage and that he's undoing the work of people like Ice-T by putting out trash like that.
  3. That was funny. I ready something on AOL News where Shaq said he was just kidding around and having fun with it...that he wasn't really trying 2 seriusly insult Kobe and that they are cool. I don't know...that's just what i read. Am i the only one who wouldn't mind another album from Shaq? :::puts guard up and braces himself:::
  4. Soulja Boy is contributing to the dirt that is being done where some people think his brand of commercial rap represents Hip-Hop. For those who love Hip-Hop...u gotta strongly dislike the many people who are doing all they can just 2 get a dollar while tearing down what's left of Hip-Hop's image 2 those who aren't a big part of it. I don't see Ice-T tearing him apart as a publicity stunt. Soulja Boy really is annoying. He's speaking his mind. Being "new" 2 rap music or being young is no justification for the wackness that idiots like Soulja Boy are making. Lupe Fiasco is a young guy, but his music is better than 98% of any Hip-Hop and Rap songs that hit the Top 40. Rappers like Soulja Boy aren't doing anything positive. They talk about nothing...sprinkled with lyrics about sex and stuff like that. I can't support anyone who doesn't show that they have a brain...something 2 share with people...soemthing 2 make people think or help them get thru' a bad day. I feel no need 2 defend or ignore people who don't deserve a record deal or fame. There are plenty of talented, positive, intellegent people who care who should be getting success...but they aren't becuz labels wanna sign flavor-of-the-month trash like Soulja Boy.
  5. Soulja Boy is a living joke. There's not one redeemable quality that he posesses. Ice-T is right...he is garbage. Ice-T is a pioneer and has every right 2 call out some young scum who wants 2 pretend that he knows something about Hip-Hop. And when u willingly say that u have to look up info on a Hip-Hop legend online, u show your lack of Hip-Hop knowledge...so sad. All in all, it may have stretched Soulja Boy just a bit. If he actually wrote something back about Ice-T, it means Soulja Boy wrote is first lyric about something. Something that actually had focus. And of course u would think it's corny Turntable, u have to defend all of the commerical rappers.
  6. Whoa...can't believe i forgot "Nightmare On My Street."
  7. Man, it's hard 2 say. Back in the day, i could probably do about 97% of their songs. Realistically, i'm just gonna say i could probably do about 75% of the songs...maybe missing a word or a line here and there. I'm not limiting myself 2 these, but here is a list of songs i'm pretty sure i could neal every lyric if played right now... 8. Yeah, i can't wait 4 the new album. Hopefully they take it back 2 their roots. I only REALLY liked about half of the songs on their last album. The others were just alright or filler tracks. Hopefully they can get Queen Latifah outta her Hip-Hop hiatus for a song or 2. JASON MRAZ - Life High We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things (2008)
  9. I'm putting this prayer request out for my friend. Her 5 year old dog ran out of the house today and died instantly when she was hit by a car. She said her mom opened the basement door while the dog followed her. Her mom had no idea the dog followed her down there since she doesn't like to go in the basement. Her mom came back inside and the dog was missing. My friend went outside and called for her and didn't see or hear her. She walked out front (the live on a busy street) and she saw her dog just laying there on the side of the road not breathing. My friend said she stood there silent for about 5 seconds before she fell to her knees and broke down. She carried her dog back to the house and buried her. The driver never stopped, stuck around, or tried to figure out who's dog it was. My friend has gone through a VERY hard year. Infact, some of her past mistakes and selfish/bad decisions have put people like me thru' a bad year. She's recently got herself together and this shock has really hit her hard. I'm praying that her and her family receive comfort and an inner peace. I pray that her mom doesn't have a feeling of guilt over her head for having the dog follow her outside when she wasn't aware she was being followed. I also pray that i can be the kinda friend that will help her get through this rough time...being able 2 devote time in between my crazy schedule and saying the right things.
  10. This is ill. I love the energy, the swagga, the grit, etc. I can only give the beat a 7...but i feel it's done that way 2 contrast the slick sound of the last album...2 put total focus on his lyrics and timeless flow. LL is putting 2gether an album much better than most of us thought. The video is ill 2. That classic black and white look reminds me of some of the 90's best videos. I don't see this getting really radio play...but if it does, i'll be the only good Hip-Hop joint 2 be on the radio in the past year or 2.
  11. That might be the stupidest thing posted all month. If FP waz really like that, i'd have 2 call him out. That kinda stuff simply is not cool. I don't care if he's my favorite emcee. If he was like that, they wouldn't still be together. Even if FP didn't have standards, Jada does and would never put up with it.
  12. Screw an Oscar...who needs it!! Ha ha...I can't wait for the next album. U know it's gonna happen.
  13. I love the 702 and Naughty songs that were mentioned... CHANTE MOORE - Love Action Love The Woman (2008)
  14. 50 Cent...Lil' Wayne... It looks like all u need 2 do is make some of the worst music that ears have ever heard 2 accomplish such a feat. What are the odds that music's most untalented and annoying people sells that many records. What is the average IQ of those people who are buying that music?
  15. It's an awful song by an awful rapper. I can't stand the radio...are they still playing that trash?
  16. Not really feeling either of these ideas.
  17. I feel u...but these young people are fully aware of what they are doing. I don't think age really makes them less guilty or let's them justify things. Had R. Kelly not been famous, i bet the fingures would be pointed more equally. Famous people do some messed up stuff or make mistakes, they just catch the fire for it alot quicker and alot worse. People who have made the same mistakes will knock a celeb for doing the very same thing they did simply becuz they have cameras on them.
  18. I think that's the best way 2 put it. I won't back down on my statement that she should be paying the same price that he is. U can be older and say she's a big victim who can't think for herself, but i just can't agree with that. I remember being 14. Sure we all develop differently, but i feel at that age, i waz pretty much the same person i am 2day minus the life experience. She is just as guilty as he is. I wasn't justifying anything. That kinda behavior is definitely wrong 2 me. I'm just saying that both parties should be paying. If they both have come outta this better people...then good, that's what this whole episode was for then. But if either of them is up 2 the same kinda thing, then i agree 100% that either or both of them need 2 get help. Because i didn't watch the tape and never plan 2, i'm not gonna throw accusations and i'm also not gonna defend him. Even if i wanted it, it's 8 years old. Unless this kinda behavior is still going on, u can't punish someone for something so old since none of us has the right 2 judge anyone. And person who has a problem, big or small, should get help, i'll just leave it at that.
  19. Thanx! I'd never seen the whole video either. Classic song. I'm about 2 pop the album or the single in.
  20. I don't like the beat much...but the way it's blended with the vocals is good. Thanx!
  21. ...just keepin' it real like a banana peel.
  22. Wow! I didn't get 2 read the article yet...but in the words of Flavor Flav "Wooooooooooooooow." I didnt' see the tape, but i did read in-depth news on everything. I personally cannot say i care much about the outcome. I still buy his music cuz as an artist, he's one of the best...tho' i doubt he'll ever reach the level of quality he had between '93-'96...even thru' 2000. My biggest problem with this was that R. Kelly was taking all the heat. Things go both ways. Yes, he is the adult who should know better, but all other parties involved should be catching the same heat he has been and paying for what they did as well. If he did, then he's wrong and he can deal with it with God. After all this time, i'm sure he already has. But the girl needs 2 go thru' the same thing he goes thru'. It's take 2 to tango and teenagers shouldn't be treated like kids who don't know what they are doing...cuz they do. Again, right is right and wrong is wrong. I'm not the judge and i don't know what happened. I'm just glad the whole thing is over. This isn't like murder or rape. I'm not saying it's right by any means, but 1 person was catching the heat that 2 people should have been catching. If he's a changed man with a new out look on life...i say "Congratz"...if he's gonna be acting foul...then i'll just keep my thoughts 2 myself.
