  1. People take paycuts for movies they really wanna do sometimes...
  2. Congratz 2 him. I usually lean Republican. In the beginning i was actually really supporting Obama. Now, i can't say i support anyone that much. I'm also gotta say that i'm not really following things at all anymore cuz nobody stands out 2 me 2 much anymore.
  3. My sound is still out on the computer. I can't believe she would do something on Murder Inc. It's like a sick joke. I can't say i'm a fan of hers...but she seems 2 talented 2 work with the collaspsing joke of a label.
  4. I love this. I watched it back in the day when it 1st came out. Just a few months ago i finally got this on VHS. Classic stuff.
  5. The bit waz sarcastic...i'm just hyped that FP is talking about BB3!!
  6. Thanx 4 the pix and news....i love his shoes! I got this short bit from AOL News... Is Will Smith really hurting for movie roles? According to Contact Music, the rapper-turned-actor was begging Michael Bay backstage at the MTV Movie Awards to make 'Bad Boys 3.' At least he's not trying to get 'Pursuit of Happyness 2: Get Happy-er' on a fast track. (June 2)
  7. Whoa, MissAshley busted out the Jesse Powell!! MINT CONDITION - Us (Circuit City Bonus Track) E-Life (2008)
  8. BOB MARLEY + THE WAILERS - Three Little Birds Legend (2002)
  9. When u create a new level of "suck" in the rap game, u have 2 trickle some good artists on there 2 fool some people in2 buying it. Babyface, Busta Rhymes, Cool + Dre aren't gonna trick me in 2 buying this album.
  10. People wanna put him down. And if they believe everything they read, i guess i can't blame them, tho' that doesn't say much for their intellegence. The sad thing is the most celebs who are getting support could care about helping the next man and don't do it at all. It's frustrating. When u are blessed, it's your responcebility 2 share it. Otherwise it'll be all taken away one day.
  11. Well, i'm gonna be outta here for a week. My job is sending me 2 Texas for training. There are some things that i am looking forward 2 and somethings that i am NOT looking forward 2. Mainly traveling ALONE on an airplane (i don't mind flying...i just don't like airports...not 2 mention traveling alone 4 the first time...and i'm hoping i get 2 the hotel 1st so i can claim the single bedroom before my 2 roommates are gonna show up...ha ha. So i'm just asking for prayer on comfortable and safe traveling and the comfortable rooming situation. Talk 2 y'all in about a week!!
  12. I believe that "16 years" quote is refering 2 him being in the intro of Snoop's "Gin + Juice" music video. I hardly call that the start of a career. He's been doing his thing for a respectable 9 years with some good songs, some bad songs, but mostly average songs. He's got more staying power than any of the dirty south rappers and he has the flow to have a decent career in Hip-Hop. He just needs 2 take his attitude and music 2 a different place. But "next Will Smith" comment is a stretch but at least he's dreaming big.
  13. Ahhh....good news. U gotta love good news! It's definitely time for a new album.
  14. By the way, i waz being sarcastic here. I'm totally with u on this. What I'm saying is that we don't know the reasons why he wants to use "study tech" in his school. I'm sure it has nothing to do with what people and media are saying, there must be a good explanation behind it. That's all.
  15. "Gangsta" Rap is dead. Dr. Dre said it himself in 1996. When one of the pioneers of "Gangsta" Rap says it's dead, it's dead. Since 1997, we've only heard party-oriented pop rap, wanna-be thugged out rap, and dirty south rap and a lil' bit of true Hip-Hop. Who has represented "Gangsta" Rap since 1996? 50 Cent? No, he's faked out thug rap. Lil' Wayne...nah...dirty south rap. To me the gangsta era of Hardcore Hip-Hop started with N.W.A. and died with Dr. Dre leaving Deathrow and stating it was dead. Someone could say Snoop reps it...but lets be real. Snoop has grown and his subject matter has shifted. He does an occiasional track in his old formula cuz that's where he came from. Warren G? Well, we throw him in that G-Funk category cuz that's what he calls his style of music, but his subject matter has never been dominated by "gangsta" subject matter. Dr. Dre's music has been inconsistant since he's pretended he never said phrases like "Gangsta Rap is deal"..."it's just entertainment"...and "Gangsta Rap" is wack." Don't get me wrong, i'm looking forward 2 his new album and i liked Chronic 2001, but when he tries 2 kick a gangsta styled rhyme, i'm rolling my eyes and only enjoying it for face-value.
  16. MICHELLE WILLIAMS - We Break The Dawn Unexpected (2008) I really like her gospel albums...but the edge on this new single is really good. Just feel good R-N-B mixed with a dance vibe. The DC reunion can wait. I wanna see what this album is gonna do.
  17. I love this joint. 1st really good song 2 leak in awhile!! THANX!!
  18. After Hancock, i doubt FP will be doing any superheroing any time soon.
  19. I'm confused as 2 the "theme" of this list. It's all over the place. It's good 2 see JJ+FP get love like that tho.' Here's my personal top favz.... DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince “Summertime” Queen Latifah "Just Another Day" Ice Cube "It Was a Good Day" Boogie Down Productions “South Bronx” Tupac "California Love" All Eyez On Me And here's others that i really like from the list... Jermaine Dupri f/ Ludacris "Welcome to Atlanta" Common "The Corner " Cam’ron f/ Juelz Santana & Jim Jones "Come Home With Me" N.W.A "Straight Outta Compton" Scarface “On My Block” Black Star f/ Common "Respiration" Blahzay Blahzay "Danger" Blah Blah Blah Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "East 1999" E 1999 Eternal Gang Starr "The Place Where We Dwell" MC Shan "The Bridge" Sir Mix-A-Lot "My Posse's On Broadway" Is it just me, or do the newer songs (good or bad) seem very forgettable next 2 the 80's and 90's classics?
  20. I want 2 defend LL, but after some of the stuff i've heard and some of the people he's worked with...i think u might have hit that one on the nail.
  21. I remember when this was aired on TV. Classic. Later editions of Homebase included this remix. It also popped up on the Greatest Hits album and The Very Best of... album.
  22. I think he's only doing this becuz so many of his new songs are so "common" and right up ally of the people who typically like the boring, unfocused, uncreative mixtapes. Mixtapes are typcially the dumping ground for anything that won't make the album due to many reasons...the main one being that the music is average. Will i get it? Yes. Will i like it? After everything i've heard so far...i'm not sure how 2 answer that one yet.
  23. R u serious? R u saying that the web isn't always a legit and factual news source? :mygod:
  24. KEL SPENCER - Billie Jean 4000 Brooklyn Spartans - The Mixtape (2007)
