  1. Yeah, as far as i know, the instrumental version was never released. I have the CD single and a rare vinyl single. Neither has an instrumental version...only remixes. After all of the digging i've done over the years i've never seen an instrumental version.
  2. Here's some news i came across on AOL featuring a Hip-Hop legend who needs 2 get his stuff 2gether with the quickness and commerical rap's uglyest idiot. ------------------------------------------------------ It's Probation Time for Busta Rhymes Posted: 2008-01-23 16:43:50 Filed Under: Star Scandals, Music News NEW YORK (Jan. 23) - A Manhattan judge sentenced Busta Rhymes to three years' probation and 10 days of community service Wednesday for assaulting his former driver and a fan. The 35-year-old rapper was also fined $1,250, plus court costs, for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license. He pleaded guilty to the charges - related to four separate incidents - in Manhattan Criminal Court. Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, must also enroll in a DWI program. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lil Wayne Busted at Border Checkpoint By TERRY TANG, AP Posted: 2008-01-23 17:38:36 Filed Under: Celebrities in Court, Music News PHOENIX (Jan. 23) - Lil Wayne was arrested on three felony drug charges Wednesday after federal agents said they found illegal drugs including cocaine on his charter bus at a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona. Federal agents arrested Lil' Wayne and two other men at a border security checkpoint in southwestern Arizona on Jan. 23 after finding several illegal drugs, including cocaine and 41 grams of Ecstacy, on the rapper's charter bus. Wayne, seen in his mugshot, is out on bail and "looking forward to his day in court," according to his lawyer. The rapper (real name: Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) was being held at the Yuma County Sheriff's jail on state drug charges, Capt. Eben Bratcher said. Carter appeared via video arraignment late Wednesday morning in a court in Wellton, 35 miles east of Yuma. James Tilson, a local lawyer retained by Carter, said his client was not formally charged and his next court date was scheduled for Jan. 25. "We will find out by Jan. 25 whether or not the (Yuma) county attorney will file charges or not," Tilson said. "He is looking forward to his day in court. That's all I can say right now." His bond was set at $10,185, and he was released from jail about 2 p.m. Wednesday after making bail. The 25-year-old faces charges of possession of dangerous drugs, narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Bratcher said Carter's bus was stopped about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at a Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, Ariz., 78 miles east of Yuma. Drug Enforcement Administration spokeswoman Ramona Sanchez said a Border Patrol canine unit alerted agents to the presence of illegal drugs on the bus. Among what a search yielded: nearly four ounces of marijuana, 41 grams of Ecstacy and just over an ounce of cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia. DEA agents then arrested Carter, who was traveling with 11 others. Officials also found a .40-caliber pistol registered to Carter, who has a concealed weapons permit in Florida. Authorities are looking into whether he violated any weapons laws in Arizona. Two other men were arrested with him; they each face a charge of possession of marijuana. In October, Carter and several other rappers were named in a federal lawsuit filed by music publishing companies, accusing them of sampling other artists' songs without paying licensing fees. Rapper Birdman and Lil Wayne won a viewers' choice award for their song "Stuntin' Like My Daddy" at Black Entertainment Television's 2007 Hip-Hop Awards.
  3. I can't say i followed him or knew anything about him. But my prayers go out 2 his family and friends.
  4. Ha..."Geek Love" is awesome. I wish her album actually happened. SNOW - Africa (2007)
  5. There is a certain level of success and celebrity that few entertainers actually get 2. FP is one of the few. And one thing he has in common with everyone else on that level is that they are hard workers who truely appriciate people. They travel the world and love what they do. That's why all these idiot kids in commercial rap fade away so quick. They aren't hard workers, they aren't creative or motivated, and they don't appriciate the people that support them (probably cuz they don't believe in their own product). Let the 'Prince school the vetrans in the movie world who think they know it all wit their little awards.
  6. Forgive me for being harsh, ignorant, or anything like that. But are there any Amy Winehouse fans on this board. Can someone please tell me why people like her. I think her voice is awful and her sound is annoyng. She looks like a man in drag and every week there is video or pictures of her leaked with her doing drugs or with some kinda sign that she just got done doing drugs...or just got trashed? After making your life look like a mistake since your short career has started (at least in the US), why do people still listen 2 her. This has been bugging me since summer. Can anyone help a playa out? If one of the mod's wants 2 delete this becuz i'm being negative, i won't be offended. I just really wanna know why she has fans.
  7. Diddy Changes His Name ... Again Posted Jan 22nd 2008 11:35AM by Tracey Ford Filed under: Hip-Hop, The BoomBox, Hip-Hop News Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is changing his moniker, yet again. The mogul, formerly known as Puff Daddy then P. Diddy, and then just plain ol' Diddy, is now going by the name Sean John -- which is the the mogul's first and middle names, and the name of the entrepreneur's successful clothing line. Combs better hope his latest name change doesn't cause any confusion. The mogul took on some new ventures last year, including a multi-year, 50/50 profit deal with Ciroc vodka. Combs also released a fragrance dubbed 'Unforgivable.' "I have always evolved and taken a different name each time. Right now I want to be 'Sean John' because that's where I am right now," Combs said in a statement. ------------------------------------------------ Usher's Father Dies in Atlanta Posted Jan 22nd 2008 12:00PM by Tracey Ford Filed under: The BoomBox, R and B News R&B singer Usher's father, Usher Raymond III, died in an Atlanta hospital on Friday. The cause of death is currently unknown. Reports claim that the singer was by his father's bedside before his death. Funeral arrangements have been made and will take place later this week in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Usher and his wife, Tameka, recently celebrated the birth of their first child together on November 26. -------------------------------- My prayers go out 2 Usher. He's had a kinda rough 2007. And doesn't Puffy realize that when u do something a certain amount of times, nobody cares. Does he expect Press Play 2 sell a million copies in the next week cuz of this?!

  12. I can't wait 4 the new album. Mariah has never put out a bad album. Her last one was amazing. She can jus keep them coming. I like the line up of producers and other than Young Jeezy, i like the collaboz 2!! The MJ inspired track sounds interesting.
  13. True honor for the 'Prince + Latifah (amoungst others) 2 be called on by a legend. So many people want 2 disconnect big celebs from Hip-Hop...so seeing that there are strong connections there is cool. I hope they support this. Hip-Hop's legends need 2 keep it tight and make the difference. Now if they can only do it for mainstream music.
  14. Rest In Peace. Prayers and respect go out 2 the family. I wake up every morning and think that i need 2 go out there and realy LIVE again. Life has been rough for me for awhile and sometimes it's nearly impossible 2 see a good future. Unimportant things always happen 2 swallow up this up and i have nobody 2 blame but myself.
  15. JOHN LEGEND - Let's Get Lifted Live From Philadelphia (2008)

  18. I just went 2 check the link and it waz taken down. But i think i found it here. http://gawker.com/5002269/the-cruise-indoc...ied-to-suppress Bottom line, Tom is a whack job. He's arrogant, falsly confident and doesn't know how 2 convey, complete, or verbalize a single solid thought. What an idiot.
  19. Ha ha...i hope that statement comes from hearing Obama's take on things and not just cuz FP supports him.
  20. V + DJ JAZZY JEFF - Would U Be Mine The Revelation Is Now Televised (2005)
  21. Unfortunatly i forgot 2 post this days ago....but all week long Nick At Nite has had a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air marathon going on. I don't know when they start airing them....definitely by 10. And while i haven't stayed up all night watching them, i believe they don't stop airing them until 5 or 6 am. I love when Nick At Nite does this. I totally get hooked and stay up WAY 2 late. It just feels good knowing that there are hours of back 2 back episodes coming on during the winter. I'm guess 2morrow is the last nite.
  22. WANYA MORRIS - I Don't Wanna Know UNReleased: The Mixtape (2007) Man, his solo album needs 2 officially drop. This mixtape is dope!!
