THANK U!! Homer started taking most of the spotlight during the mid 90's or so. The dumber half of America seems 2 identify with him more and i think that's why people like myself (and u) stopped watching it regularly. Cuz any true Simpsons fan knows Bart carries most of the weight when it comes 2 the essense of The Simpsons. Don't get me wrong, i love the show. But the early seasons were the best.

So out of no where, Deathrow just dropped a new 2Pac record...Nu Mixx Klazzics Volume 2 (Evolution: Duets And Remixes). Like most fans who followed his music before his passing, i rolled my eyes and 2 myself "that remix album must be awful." However, as someone who simply loves 2Pac's music, his early stuff and solo...and even some of the stuff released a year or 2 after he passed away, i had 2 get it. Reguardless i had 2 pick up this new record even with the pain of how awful the doctored albums have been. However, this time, it's done right. The Nu Mixx Klazzics album that Deathrow put out in 2003 waz pretty bad. 10 trax from his time on Deathrow were remixed with crappy commerical beats that 2Pac would have never considered using. The replaced a Snoop cameo with a verse from wack Deathrow artist Crooked I. It waz a catstrophic embarassment 2 his legacy. I think i liked maybe 2 remixes off that album, which were still no where near as good as the original release. From then, we've seen doctored albums like Loyal To The Game and Pac's Life that basically sucked thru' and thru' due 2 wack production and unrealistic guest artists put on his trax. As many of us gave up on any true 2Pac releases coming out, believe it or not, Deathrow has done a good thing with this remix album...2Pac fans should check it. Here's a breif overview. This album features 12 trax from his time on Deathrow (definitely not the peak of his musical career, but dope none the less). Trax from All Eyez On Me, Makaveli, Gang Releated, Gridlock'd, and Above The Rim are all on here to give it a bit of variety. The guest spots aren't perfect but much better than previous albums. The Outlawz, Kurupt, and Snoop cameos are intact. Added spots are on there from Butch Cassidy and Styles P don't really fit in...but the new cameo with Dwele is amazing. No big names have doctored or remixed the trax but in most cases, they actually did a really good job. Picture Me Rollin', Staring Though My Rearview, Got My Mind Made Up, and Lost Souls are all on the album and tweeked from their original form. On those trax, they have added some to the original production and/or added additonal non-spotlight stealing appearances from other artists. They actually work really well. "Staring Though My Rearview" with Dwele is probably the best track on the whole album. AMAZING!! Keep Goin' (originally titled "Don't Stop" off Tha Dogg Pound's DPG 2002" album), What's Ya Phone #, Hail Mary, Pain, Wanted Dead or Alive, Initiated (originally off Daz' Revendge, Retaliation, and Retribution), How Do You Want It are all on the album in total remix forms. Unlike most of the doctored and remixes we have heard of 2Pac songs done from 2000 and on, these actually fit the song topics and vibe pretty well. If the original versions were graded at an A, most of these are actually at a B (compared to the C's, D's, and F's of Loyal To The Game and Pac's Life). The "Hail Mary" Rock Remix is surprisingly amazing. The errie breakdown and high energy guitar moodswings of the song are ill. I can picture 2Pac rocking this LIVE. The "Wanted Dead or Alive" remix is really good. It kinda sounds like and updated Deathrow sound if they were still on top. "How Do You Want It" isn't 2 bad either. The only track that i'm not feeling much is the remix of "Pain." Overall, i urge all true 2Pac fans 2 check this album. I think most of u will be surprised. I know i waz. This album is almost as good as "Still I Rise" and comparable to Until The End of Time and Better Dayz. This album probably beats them tho' since it isn't a double disc and comes off more solid AND is based off material that 2Pac released or planned on releasing. Lastly, if u are gonna get the album, try 2 get the version released thru' Best Buy. It has 2 bonus remixes. It has an alternate version of "Lost Souls" with the original production but with verses from Daz and M-1 and another remix of "Initiated."

I thought the show waz hilarious. Totally tasteless but hilarious. I can't justify that. I knew what i waz getting in 2 when i planned on watching it so just laughed at most of the jokes for what they were. I definitely don't talk like that, but i still thought alot of it waz funny.
-
I waz actually thinkin' this. Every rapper has their Michael Jordan retirement plan. They'll have at least 3 retirements before u can take them remotely serious. I just can't see 50 stopping. He just loves the the attention and the money. And 50, having an equally big mouth would just talk trash if he gets outsold.
-
What a freakin' embarassment. Waste of a record deal! Who can take that trash seriously?!?
-
I'm really hyped about the new album. I always thought he sounded best on straight Hip-Hop beats. Don't get me wrong, i like "The Building" but there's no way that song can be compared with "The Definition."

Happy B-Day!! I waz driving 2 day and "Jam On It" came on the radio...classic.

50 Cent to Quit if Outsold by Kanye West AP Posted: 2007-08-10 17:59:11 Filed Under: Music News NEW YORK (Aug. 10) - 50 Cent believes his new album will outsell Kanye West's upcoming disc, and he's betting his solo career on it. Both 50 Cent and West have albums due out Sept. 11. 50 Cent, who has sold better than West, has been riled by forecasts that sales of West's "Graduation" could rival those for his "Curtis" CD. "Let's raise the stakes," the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop Web site SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. "If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music. I'll write music and work with my other artists, but I won't put out anymore solo albums." An e-mail sent to West's publicist wasn't immediately returned Friday. 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, has been publicly disparaging of West before. In 2005, he suggested the 29-year-old rapper's popularity was only possible because of 50's own success. But they recently collaborated in the studio. Their work, though, isn't scheduled to appear on either new album. 50 Cent's last full-length solo album, "The Massacre," was the best-selling disc of 2005 and sold more than 1.14 million copies in its first week of release. The same year, West's "Late Registration" opened by selling more than 860,000 copies in its first week. Britney Spears new perfume ads are totally faked | Posted Aug 10th 2007 11:04AM by Jonathon Morgan Filed under: Fragrance, Celebrity Style Hey, look! It's a photo of Britney Spears, modeling for her new perfume! That long, blond hair, tight tummy, skinny arms -- wait a second. That doesn't look like Britney Spears at all. Because photos for the former pop star's new Believe perfume look so shockingly dissimilar to those snapped by paparazzi, many think it's not really her body in the picture. Even though Elizabeth Arden (the company selling Brit's new fragrance) claims that the photo was taken earlier this summer, it's widely rumored that Britney used a body double during the shoot -- or that the company replaced the original photo with one from Britney's archives. It's either that, or they Photoshopped the crap out of this picture, because there's no way that's real. According to the publicity statement for the new perfume, "We all have beliefs that are treasures in our soul" -- and that's very true. For instance, I believe this ad campaign is a joke. ----------------------------------------------------- Spice Girl Emma Bunton Has Baby Boy AP Posted: 2007-08-10 12:58:18 LONDON (AP) - It's a baby boy for "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton. The 31-year-old Spice Girls singer gave birth to a son, Beau, at London's Portland Hospital on Friday, a spokesman said. He is the first child for Bunton and boyfriend Jade Jones. "He is absolutely brilliant and both baby and Emma are doing fine," Jones said in a statement. "In fact, Emma is tucking into some flapjacks and Coca-Cola as we speak. We are both absolutely delighted and can't wait to take Beau home." The Spice Girls - Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Brown - had a string of global hits before splitting in 2001. In June they announced they were reuniting for a tour that will begin later this year. On the Net: Spice Girls: http://www.thespicegirls.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Buying a Kanye West album has never seen so appealing 2 me!! Can u imagin just how good life would be if 50 Cent waz no longer releasing albums?!? So far, AOL's poll has 55% of the readers agreeing he should quit music if Kanye passes him in sales the 1st week. What a stupid topic. And i've seen new Britney ads. There is no way they can be real...or at least new. Cuz she looks REALLY good in them, and i don't think she's looked really good since 2003ish. And is it just me, or are the Spice Girls in the news alot reguardless of the world tour coming up. I just read that Melanie B was secretly married back in June just yesterday.

In the beginning, Kanye's lack of delivery and flow waz excusable by the person he came across as. Besides most of his beats were really good. Since his ego has grown, i can't stand him as a person enough 2 really care about anything he does. His lyrics have become less focused and his delivery and flow have gotten worse. The production of the newer stuff i've heard has also drastically declined. I approach all music with any open ear...i just don't really see him as very relevant anymore. I don't feel that his newer stuff is better than his earlier stuff at all. However, if u wanna continue this topic and see why i'll consider buying his album, read the Music Newz post i'm making...

Who really cares? Multiple albums get released every Tuesday...why is it such a big deal who comes out at the top. Sure, it's nice 2 have sales and success...but when it comes 2 the bottom line, who really cares? 50 Cent and Kanye West releasing albums on the same day isn't really interesting. Both of them have big mouths and both of them have drastically lost focus on their style and sound...both have declined since they 1st got their foot in the door, reguardless the level they were on in the beginning.

I just wanted 2 say i'm still here. My computer is falling apart more and more everyday. Most days i can only get on 2 check my mail or get on AIM (neither are my main purpose 2 get online). Other than my computer needing cleaned out, something else is up with it which only allows me 2 check out websites from time 2 time...and if it does, i usually can't after more than 3 minutes of clicking on links. And these days i'm around my friends who have good internet that i can use. I've been busy traveling, training, and working thru' the digital converstion of my photography studio. I'm still hoping 2 redeem my summer but having fun at some point and getting the car i should have gotten months ago. Either way, i have a good Fall 2 look forward 2. Since i don't know how often i'll get 2 check the board (or at least post on it), i just wanted 2 say "hey" 2 everyone and "Happy B-Day" 2 all the peeps have b-days this time of year. p.s. I finally got Jeff's "Live From Nowhere" mixtape...love it!!

Yeah, i picked up the album Tuesday. I haven't gotten 2 listen 2 it much at all. But from when i skimmed thru' it, the lyrics were on point as always. When it came 2 the sound, it was predicatable here and there but still good. Considering all of the PE albums that i have (which is about half of them...since they've released all those remix and live albums), i think it's somewhere in the middle. That could change after giving it a proper listen. The Flavor Flav solo trax are kinda weird since they have already been released...but oh well. PE is back and that's always a good thing.

Back in the day i always looked forward 2 watching The Arsenio Hall Show every night. I've always wanted them 2 release "The Best of The Arsenio Hall Show" with his best schetches, stand up comedy, interviews, and of course, the musical performances. JJ+FP were on the show quite a few times. I remember this performance when it aired 'live.' I don't know of there's been a better all star performace since.

I haven't posted 2 much recently cuz my computer is falling apart (tho' it's working fine at the moment). I probably won't have access 2 a computer since i have 2 go 2 Texas 4 training this week. I should get back Thursday. I'm wondering who i'll meet up with 1st...Beyonce...or Jessica Simpson....hmmm.... -
This kinda stuff doesn't bug them. Sure, they love success, but that's not their main motivation for music. The great thing about true Hip-Hop groups is they are also Hip-Hop's biggest fans. So they enjoy and support all kinds of artists and events like this. They aren't exactly waiting and being bitter when it comes 2 honors like this. When they finally do get honored, they won't televise the JJ+FP segment...ha ha. (Grammy joke :kekeke: )
-
My computer is slowly crashing more and more everyday...ha ha. I used 2 have a list of every Hip-Hop, Rap, and R-N-B instrumental i own. However, files keep disappearing off my computer. Including 2 files that i've spent years working on (including one for work and one of every non-album song and remix by nearly every artist i like).

That man speaks the truth. There waz no reason 2 touch a classic like that. If i considered "BNF2K7" a real track (which i don't), it would taint the way i look at "Brand New Funk." Jazzy waz smokin' peedi Crack when he put Peedi Wack on that seedy track...and it's like that.

I think the Hip-Hop Honors purposely try 2 pick Hip-Hop acts from all eras so it's not just mid-80's artists or early 90's artists, which i think it a good idea. There are a lot of other artists that are better and more consistant then Missy and Snoop but i still think they deserve their shine. Missy is one of Hip-Hop's biggest fans. She loves the old school and incoporates that in her new music. Snoop is the same way. He mixes it with the gangsta stuff he helped put on the map, but the heart of true Hip-Hop is mixed in with his West Coast hood tales. The longer this board holds on2 the idea that JJ+FP will be honored, the longer the wait is gonna be. They'll be honored one year, but realize their are hundreds of acts 2 choose and scheduling conflicts for the biggest boxoffice draw in the world. This might be the show i look forward 2 the most every year. I can't wait.

Shakur Estate Moves Against Songs' Sale AP Posted: 2007-07-24 08:23:27 LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tupac Shakur's mother is seeking to prevent his former label, Death Row Records Inc., from selling the late rapper's unreleased recordings as part of a bankruptcy settlement. Afeni Shakur sought an injunction in federal bankruptcy court Friday claiming Death Row was attempting to sell Shakur material that belonged to the rapper's estate. Unreleased recordings should have been turned over to the estate as part of a 1997 agreement with the record label, said attorney Donald N. David, who represents the estate. But during Death Row's bankruptcy proceedings, "it was revealed that an album's worth of unreleased Tupac material was being advertised to potential buyers as the jewel in the crown of the Death Row assets," David said. Afeni Shakur and the company she established, Amur Entertainment, requested an injunction after the label failed to confirm the songs would not be included in the bankruptcy settlement, David said. The court was expected to consider the request within a month when it decides whether to permit the label to release an album with the unreleased tracks to help pay off its debts, David said. A call to Ronald L. Leibow, an attorney representing Death Row in bankruptcy proceedings, was not immediately returned Monday. In the 1990s, Death Row was home to superstar rappers such as Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, as well as Shakur. The label's fortunes - and those of its owner, Marion "Suge" Knight - started to slide when Shakur was shot and killed in 1996 while riding in the passenger seat of Knight's car. The shooting took place after the pair were involved in a fight in a Las Vegas hotel. The attack resulted in Knight being sent to prison for violating his parole. After Shakur's death, Death Row and the rapper's family settled for an undisclosed sum amid allegations that the label had defrauded Shakur, David said. Knight sought bankruptcy protection for himself and the company in April 2006. He claimed debts of more than $100 million in each filing. At the time, Knight estimated personal assets of zero to $50,000. Last month, the rap mogul placed his seven-bedroom, 9 1/2-bath home on the market for $6.2 million as part of his financial overhaul. --------------------------------- Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony to Tour Together TUESDAY JULY 24, 2007 08:00 AM EDT By Caris Davis Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony will co-headline their first tour together this fall. The occasion will mark Lopez's first-ever live concert road trip. The couple, both 38, will perform separate sets of their own material and will also duet together, and each set will include songs in English and Spanish, according to representatives for the duo. Lopez – who was paid more than $1.2 million to perform a 40-minute set at a Russian millionaire's birthday party in April – and Anthony also plan to use their live musical debut together to highlight the problem of childhood obesity in the Latino community. "When I was a kid, we spent most of our time outside visiting in the neighborhood with friends. This is the first generation of kids who are so sedentary and the first whose parents might outlive them," Lopez said in a statement. "We really need to be active in encouraging healthy eating and the joys and fun of exercising." The headliners will donate one dollar from every ticket sold to the ING Run For Something Better, a kids' fitness program that aims to reduce childhood obesity by introducing youngsters to the benefits of running, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyle choices. --------------------------------------------- Kelly Clarkson Apologizes to Clive Davis AP Posted: 2007-07-23 17:14:03 Filed Under: Music NEW YORK (July 23) - Kelly Clarkson has done a lot of talking about reports of a feud with Clive Davis over the direction of her new album, "My December." Now, she's apologizing. Kelly Clarkson's new album, 'My December,' caused tension with her label boss, Clive Davis. The legendary label man is said to have had problems with the rock-heavy songs, which were all co-written by Clarkson. "I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family," the 25-year-old singer said Monday in a statement posted on her Web site. "Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it's respect and admiration that will keep us together." For months, Clarkson has weathered - and also fueled in candid interviews - reports of a battle with Davis, who oversees her record label, RCA, over the direction of "My December," which was released June 26. "A lot has been made in the press about my relationship with Clive," the former "American Idol" said in her statement. "Much of this has been blown way out of proportion and out of context." "Contrary to recent characterizations in the press, I'm well aware that Clive is one of the great record men of all time," her statement said. "He has been a key advisor and has been an important force in my success to date." ------------------------ Britney's Shopping Trip Turns Chaotic -- Cops Called Posted Jul 23rd 2007 6:27PM by TMZ Staff Filed under: Celebrity Justice, Train Wrecks, Britney Spears There was pushing, there was shoving, there was flower crushing -- all because of Britney Spears. Moments ago, all hell broke loose outside of Lisa Kline clothing store in Beverly Hills, as Britney's bodyguard desperately tried to clear a path from her car to the store. According to several on-scene witnesses, a gang of overzealous photogs went wild trying to score a shot of Spears as she bobbed, and, ahem, weaved her way into the place. Witnesses claim that the bodyguard and sea of photogs violently pushed back and forth as Britney and her new assistant tried to dash inside. TMZ was told that LAPD was called, but the crazy scene had already calmed down before they arrived. Cops checked in with Spears at her next stop. No one was reported injured, but there were definitely a few pricey casualties -- including a $4,000 flower bed in front of the store, which was crushed during the melee, and the bodyguard's shirt was torn. Inside the store, Britney didn't seem to be bothered by the mess. Sources told us that she was, "a delight ... she was very sweet." Afterward, the chaos continued as Britney tried to get back to her car. Brit's massive bodyguard plowed a path to her Benz, while the gargantuan beast roared for snappers to move. They did.
