  1. Man, i thought somebody else would be excited about this...i had 2 re-title this 2 hopefully generate some interest in it. I waz sitting back and thinking about the casting. Typically for these super hero movies, they get unknowns play the parts. The most well-known Green Lantern has always been Hal Jordan, the 90's waz Guy Gardner and the 2000's his John Stewart. Who happens 2 be black...and in the cartoon version of the Justice League. Fresh Prince would be perfect for the part. He looks the part and he's always wanted 2 play a superhero (wanting 2 be Robin in Batman Forever.) I could totally see FP bulking up, doning the green suit, and flying around while kicking people's butts.
  2. Ha ha...i thought it waz Brakes who i remember liking them. U aren't the only one brotha! The Spice Girls were just fun. They started pop music up when it waz dead. Their style and energy 2 me is something that music is missing. They brought fun 2 music again while phoney gangsta were shooting up the streets and alternative punks were moaning about how life sucked and how they wanted 2 kill themselves (one of them doing so). I must say i'm looking forward 2 it. Who else can turn "The Humpty Dance" in2 a fly pop song...ha ha.
  3. I'm pretty sure that he waz accepted as in he applied...but that music waz always the main focus 4 him. His parents weren't 2 happy with that...ha ha. But they are obviously fine with it now.
  4. It's not really newz 2 most of it. Check Born To Reign....the movies are just the chick on the side. That's the way it's always been.
  5. Rock The House is classic. If u are a JJ+FP fan and get your hands on it...DO IT. It's the album that started it all. There would be no hits, Grammys and other awards, TV show, movies, etc. That album is JJ+FP straight raw. Clever rhymes and amazing sampling. It's the fantasy stuff that old school Hip-Hop albums are made up of.
  6. I can't believe this newz didn't get posted. One of my friends told me back when it waz 1st in print, but i 4got 2 look up any newz on it until now. I must say that a shamelessly love the Spice Girls. :3-laugh3: --------------------- Spice Girls to reunite By Jonathan Prynn, Evening Standard 16.02.07 Girl Power revived: the Spice Girls are to reform The Spice Girls are set for a huge reunion concert this autumn - six years after they split. All five former members of the Girl Power phenomenon are said to be agreed in principle to a charity concert in London followed by a national tour. The reunion comes after the success of the Take That revival. The girls would appear with Nineties band Boyzone, who are also reforming, according to industry figures. "They are really keen to do it if there is a charity angle. They are talking about doing it for Bono's Red campaign. It's been on the cards for a while, at least a couple of months. They are all good friends now," said one source. Senior executives at TV production company Emap TV, who want to broadcast the concert, are flying to Los Angeles this weekend for detailed talks with Simon Fuller, the band's former manager, who still represents Victoria Beckham. One sticking point is said to be their £ 2.5 million- a- head demands for the broadcast rights to the charity concert and tour. Ticket receipts for the concert itself would go to charity. Details of the concert are still being negotiated but it would have to be after the birth of Baby Spice Emma Bunton's first baby in the summer. Scary Spice Melanie Brown is also due to give birth in March. Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell had a daughter, Bluebell Madonna last May. The fifth member is Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm. The plans involve a concert at a huge London venue, possibly Hyde Park, in September or October. It will be 11 years after the Spice Girls exploded on to the pop scene with their debut single Wannabe, still the biggest selling single by an all-female group. A further eight No 1s followed before they broke up in February 2001 after record sales of 55 million. Halliwell left the band in 1998. The Beckhams are close to U2 front man Bono, whose Red campaign raises money to help victims of Aids. Last year David appeared in a TV advert for the Motorola's Red Razr mobile phone, which generates a contribution to the charity every time it is used. There have been a succession of rumours about a reunion, particularly at the time of the Live 8 concert in 2005. Earlier this month Beckham, Bunton and Halliwell were spotted having dinner together at Nobu restaurant in London, leading to renewed speculation. Bunton was recently asked about a reunion on the Richard and Judy TV show and replied: "I would love to. Even the other girls have said they'd love to do it. It would be great."
  7. This article is calling me a geek....and i'm fine with that...ha ha. I grew up on DC Comics superheros and still watch movies, TV shows, and cartoons of them regularly. And i'm really hoping they can get the current cast members for their respective heros 2 play their parts. Something like this will totally revolutionize the comic book industry and effect movies, books, and video games for years. When i watched my Super Friends DVD, one of the people commenting on a featurette complained how business waz these days and that u can't just license a group of heros, but that u have 2 do each one seperatly, which costs alot and how they didn't wanna mix Superman and Batman together which is why the World's Finest movie waz never made. ----------------------------------- http://movies.msn.com/movies/hitlist/02-27-07_4?GT1=7701 Last week's announcement that Warner Bros. was developing a movie version of the classic superhero group the Justice League of America, entitled "Justice League," was a dream many geeks never thought would happen. Even more exciting was that Variety reported the movie wouldn't just include Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman but also possibly longtime JLA members The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. How the screenwriters, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, will make it all work is anyone's guess. More importantly, can the studio convince the current movie versions of Superman and Batman, Brandon Routh and Christian Bale, respectively, to come on board another franchise? As it currently stands, Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" sequel, "The Dark Knight," will begin shooting this spring for a 2008 release. Warner Bros. expects a new "Superman" movie from Bryan Singer in 2009. They also recently announced that "Night at the Museum" director Shawn Levy would take the reigns of "The Flash." New screenwriters were also brought on board for the long-delayed "Wonder Woman" feature. Would that push "Justice League" to 2010 or beyond? Or, could it become the cinematic launching pad for both characters? The studio has experienced this scenario before. It developed a Batman and Superman project, "World's Finest," that Wolfgang Petersen spearheaded, while at the same time investing in the individual features that became "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns." Ultimately, the solo projects got the go ahead and "Finest" was put on the shelf. It's possible the studio may go with either a "League" movie or solo pictures for the scarlet speedster and the amazing Amazon -- after scripts for all three are worked on. This won't thrill the individual producers working on all these projects, but it might up the ante to churn out something worth spending the big bucks on. In the meantime, word was circulating that one of the ideas the Mulroneys had was to structure "League" with an older Batman who was guiding a younger Superman and Wonder Woman. The rumor ends with the studio wanting Tom Welling (Smallville) portraying the younger Man of Steel, but that's hard to believe considering Routh is more than two years younger than his TV counterpart. Because both Routh and Bale have multiyear deals to play their respective characters, it wouldn't be surprising to see a "League" movie negotiated as one of their current commitments. Would you rather see a "Justice League" movie or individual flicks for "The Flash" and "Wonder Woman"? Send your thoughts and comments to buzz@microsoft.com.
  8. Is that Musiq's video...or did they do a video 4 the remix with Kel? I love the video 2 the regular version...just a good video 4 a good song. But since i heard the version with Kel on the radio, i waz hoping 4 a remix video...that would get Kel seen instead of just heard.
  9. Why i don't care for the order 2 much, i like most of the groups on that list. But what's up with UGK?!?? Is that some kinda joke?!?
  10. Yeah, it's hard 2 pinpoint a track with that kinda description. I'm guessing it's "The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff" since that waz one of the big singles off Rock The House and it's one of the DJ trax. I doubt it would be "A Touch of Jazz" since the album version doesn't feature any vocals by The 'Prince. JJ+FP didn't really have many b-sides back then...at least not DJ tracks as B-sides.
  11. I got that album. I thought it waz good but it didn't stick with me. I'll put it in again sometime. KEV BROWN - ALBANY I Do What I Do (2004?) I just now got this album...why did i wait so long!?
  12. AALIYAH - I Don't Wanna Ultimate Aaliyah (Disc 2) (Originally off Romeo Must Die Soundtrack) (2000/2005) Man, this is one of those songs that will always sound just as amazing as the 1st tyme i heard it.
  13. Yeah, i wish wish they included the JJ+FP stuff. It's good 2 see him there...along with a few others. I can't believe MC Hammer is still on there...i love that.
  14. Yeah, i wouldn't say it's likely 2 debuting at the top of that charts...it's not that kinda album. But when it comes 2 real music fans in Hip-Hop and R-N-B, i think this is album is gonna surprise alot of people...including us.
  15. USHER - not sure the title...just hit the radio 2day (2007) Not a bad song, but this is probably the weakest lead single he's had out of all of his albums. The Neptunes beat is kinda a sleeper...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  16. I wouldn't count him out. I mean, look at Erykah Badu, Kenny Lattimore, Maxwell, Remy Shand, Musiq, Robin Thicke...all who have gotten hits in the last 10 years....if not successful careers. Besides, WHUR may not be a Top 40...but it's been one of DC's biggest station for over 30 years. I see this album going further than the 1st. I mean, on an underground level, The Magnificent waz a big event.
  17. There's a radio staion that airs in my area...the DC based WHUR 96.3. It's one of my favs. It plays R-N-B, Soul, and NeoSoul from the 70's up until now...and Gospel on Sundays. It has good radio shows with positive topics and so on. Anyways, i was driving 2day and they started playing "My Soul's Not 4 Sale." It's great 2 see the track getting airplay already when The EP isn't even barely released (since it's impossible 2 find in the US in stores). On another note, about 2 hours later, they were playing the "Summertime" instrumental under the radio personality talking about CNN's akward article on the downfall of commerical Hip-Hop.
  18. Me Against The World is easily his best album. I think most real fans like that album the best as well. Commerical fans probably lean towards All Eyez On Me, which has flawless production. But when it comes 2 lyrics and subject matter....the Deathrow influence weakened that aspect of the album. Anyone who thinks any of the albums released after 1997 are amoungst his best are crazy. I find it hard 2 call them albums...especially the more recent ones. The lyrics are fine...but as an album, they are just tracks put 2gether (sometimes from the same era...sometimes not). And the production gets worse with every release.
  19. I flipped 2 it once in awhile. I agree that the Oscars are boring. I'm not crazy about movies. I like mostly fun comedies...the kinda movies that never get nominated. I saw Marky lost, which bummed me and i saw Jaden presenting which waz hilarious. Other than that, i didn't see much. Will Ferrell usually annoys me cuz i don't think he's funny at all, but my friend said he song waz pretty funny.
  20. U can't blame an artist 4 u tuning in2 his career 7 years late tho.' Besides, no mature 2Pac fans things his Deathrow stint contains his most lyrical stuff. Infact, that Deathrow stint contains most of his worst lyrics.
  21. This'll be one of those things that we won't have a common ground on. But the bottom line of this whole thing is simply that certain people are not meant to be with certain other people. Which is something we can all agree on. Some of us just have more of a 'theory' on the topic.
  22. Let me start off 1st by saying that i'm a big 2Pac fan. I'm a bigger fan of Digital Underground, but had been following 2Pac as a solo artist since 1991. As a multi-faced emcee, there's definitly certain songs and albums i perfer over other songs and albums, but i would consider him one of the greatest. He had some of the deepest thoughts ever put on wax. He could throw a feel-good party record 2gether just like that. He waz very educated and could stun any listener with a political record. And he's personal drive made him one of the hardest working people in Hip-Hop. He also mastered the thugged out style that so many uneducated band-wagon fans remember him 4 doing. Ever since 2Pac passed away, the bandwagon fanbase has been an embarassing thing. I don't have a problem with someone who didn't discover his music til later, but the reality is that many people didn't know anything about him and didn't follow him til he waz murdered. They claim 2 be his biggest fans but only bother 2 educate themselves with a knowledge of him that truely amounts 2 nothing. So my answer is YES that he is one of Hip-Hop's greats and YES that thousands of people are bandwagon fans who aren't genuine fans, educated fans, or even honest fans. They are probably also the same people who think that Loyal To The Game and Pac's Life are actually good albums and close 2 something he would have put out. 2Pac is probably the most misunderstood emcee of all time.
  23. That waz my smart remark hinting that 2 me, and album is a CD, vinyl, or on cassette. Downloading songs is just downloadings songs. I don't consider it an album at all.
