You may want to reconsider what you're saying. These two sentences completely contradict each other: "That doesn't mean i think some people are better than others" and "who's a good person and who's not so good" If one person is "good" and another is "not so good" then by definition one person is "better" than the other. The concept of "out of your league" clearly means there is a pecking order in the dating scene. This would mean that someone is a better catch than another. That linear thinking is completely false. People are such complex beings that any handful of traits are bound to be a limited view of a person as well as biased towards ones personality. Not you nor anyone is qualified to judge who should love who. Where you see immature, she may see fun loving. Where you see someone who's jealous, she may like to feel obsessed over. Perhaps she doesn't care that he drinks too much because he's a happy drunk and takes care of her other needs. Or it may be some other random thing. If you define the league dividing line between people with good attitudes and people with bad attitudes, that would mean that the person with a horrid attitude could never date the person with a great attitude. That's just not true, there are plenty of people out there with great attitudes that don't care about their mates attitude. This applies to any way you try to define leagues. Many people will not want to date certain other people. Many people aren't good matches for other people. But no one is out of any one else's league, there are no leagues. Nothing i said waz contradicting. We are created equal. So we in that respect, we are all equal. But to say that there aren't leagues sounds like denial or wishful thinking. Certain people simply aren't as desirable as others. Certain characteristics are beyond opinion...there is a point where certain characteristics are good and some are bad. Those bad ones put u in a leauge. Some leagues are good, some are bad, some are in the middle. Just 4 example, tell me how many college educated, drop dead gorgous, patient, well-mannered, in-shape girls do u know dating high school drop-out, alcoholic, slobbish, out-of-shape, jobless, ugly, unmotivated, bad-tempered guys?? I never really considered the 'outta league' theory 2 be true until i 1st became single. But that's when i really started watching couples. I started saying "yeah, they seem like they belong 2gether" and "i give them 2 months." When i stress my opinion on the whole 'outta league' thing tho,' i'm talking more about characteristics, personalities, etc...not really looks. But with most of us, looks are the bate that grab our attention. After that, it should be the person themselves...not the looks. But i'll agree that some people who look a certain way will less likely get with some people who look another way. But at the same time, so much of that reflects on one's mindstate. Someone who is in shape cares about beign healthy. Someone with their hair and nail kept nice cares about themselves. Someone who dresses nicely wants 2 look appropriate. Someone who showers everyday holds their appearance 2 a high standard. Some people don't care about some of that stuff. Which 2 me is all personality related. I think this is one of those things none of us are gonna totally agree on...ha ha. But that could also be what puts us in different mindstates...or leagues. :3-laugh3:

TOBYMAC - Face The Earth Portable Sounds (2007)
-
Whoa, your b-ball court/gym looks alot like my high school gym.
-
I waz thinkin' the same thing. It's lookin' like all the money-chasing cRap acts are just getting radio play without the album sales now.
-
itunes isn't for albums...it's for songs...ha ha. Ebay is the best way.
-
I can't agree. People are different, but attitude, mindstates, and life choices create those "leagues." That doesn't mean i think some people are better than others...but i think attitude, mindstate, and life choices show who's a good person and who's not so good.

I didn't even read that stuff. Maybe i will later. But i'm sure i'm gonna agree with alot of that stuff. It's stuff i'm sure that myself and others have already said. It's all part of the downfall of the commercial face of Hip-Hop and Rap. For so long crappy, negative, phoney rappers have gotten the hits, while legit, honest, artistic, creative emcees have lost the mainstream audience. The music sucks, everything on the charts suck. People like FP, Chuck D, LL, and recently joining them, Nas have stood up and fought against it for years but at this point, it's hard 2 see if it's still worth it. 2 me, i almost have this attitude that we need 2 Noah's Ark this joint, just kill off the commercial rap so that the underdogs can salvage it later.

Ha ha...i have a real problems with guys who get girls way out of their league. When i see intellegent, pretty, sweet, good girls with idiotic guys...i get so frustrated. There's this one girl i really like and she's talking 2 some guy who smokes and drinks 2 much. He immature, jealous, and he's got this huge beer guy. All of our mutual friends thought we'd be hooking up awhile ago (other than me not letting her know how i feel) and i'm not the only one who's like "what r u doing?!" That's how things go tho.' I can't say i'm sweating it 2 much. It's just a matter of time til that falls apart.
-
Whenever i'm in record stores...i always put the albums by JJ, FP, Run, DMC, Busta, Lyte, PE, LL, etc, in front of all the Young Dros, Young Jocs, Paul Walls, 50 Cents, and Lil' Scrappys. It makes me much happier 2 see real Hip-Hop in the Hip-Hop section rather than commercial cRap.

For those of us with crappy overloaded computers....what happens? :stickpoke:

Many of us expect music in the future. He retired in 1995...and look what's happened since. 4 studio albums, a handful of hits, remixes, cameo spots. I think that the 'Prince is probably just a bit tired of the fight he has 2 go thru' 2 get radio play and video play while all these no talent fools are getting hits with crappy songs that have no subject matter 2 them. I can't blame him at all for being tired of it. In fact, thru' his whole "solo" career, i've praised him 4 acutally sticking with it. Between 1997 to now...the commerical and mainstream Hip-Hop and Rap scene has sucked....and he's kept on keepin' on. He loves Hip-Hop...he is Hip-Hop....and he'll be back...if u can even say he's 'away.'

DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince Collections Album!
JumpinJack AJ replied to a topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Yeah. It would benifit the people who put it 2gether 2. Think about it. With these semi-greatest hits collections, only a select handful of us, the hardcore fans, are actually gonna pick them up along with the other fans who aren't as big or on this website. But if they put 2gether a remix album, pretty much all of us are gonna pick it up, plus other fans, old school fans, and Hip-Hop fans in general...as long as it gets an once of promotion (thru' a new video or new song or something). -
SAMMIE - Come To Me Come To Me (2006)
-
Yeah, comedy works for those of us who are naturally funny. I think that part of that also has 2 do with not caring what anyone else thinks. Do u...as long as u are respectful 2 everyone else around, do u...even if it turns a few heads.

Holy Crap! I read that word for word. I've been saying alot of the same things 4 years now. I totally agree and it's good 2 hear someone put it down like that. I'm sure alot of other people are gonna say they agree...but they are supporting the very same wanna-be rappers who are reinforcing all of this crap. I support real music. I'll continue 2 go out there and buy music, check the credits, support the art, and ignore most of the music online. Can it really get any worse on the commerical front? I don't think so.

I would agree that younger girls go 4 the bad boys. Most mature females don't waste time on them. I think i've always been the nice guy, but my behavior hasn't always been that of the good guy (tho' i waz never really bad). Why i have been the nice guy that got overlooked for the idiotic bad boy (usually 2 later have the girl change her mind later in some way), i've also found that becuz i waz the bad boy knuckle head in the past who has grown up...some of that edge is still there...and i've found some girls thing that's attractive. The 'bad boy' edge doesn't actually have 2 be bad...and infact, it should NEVER mean u are treating the girl bad.

MADONNA - Survival Bedtime Stories (1994)

DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince Collections Album!
JumpinJack AJ replied to a topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Yeah, i saw this online b4. They need 2 quit putting out the cheapo greatest and not-so-greatest hits compilation CDs and put out a remix album or something. -
Yeah, i like that joint 2! However, i hope another Timbaland + Magoo album is right behind it. I like his new stuff...but i miss the old stuff. TLC - I Want Some of That (Unreleased) (2002)
-
I actually like everything i've heard from K-os...but have yet 2 pick up an album, i'm sure i will soon...after all there isn't really any real Hip-Hop coming out 4 awhile.

KEL SPENCER + RAHEEM DEVAUGHN - Love + War (2006)
-
Keep in mind that's without the R-N-B, Soul, Gospel, Reggae, Club, Pop, and Acoustic stuff.
-
Dope...looks like they cut the track with Black Thought tho.' Oh well, as long as the Kel Spencer track made it. They bumped back the release again?...that sucks!
