One thing that helps u get over a lost dog is getting a new one. I remember feeling that i wazn't ready and had feelings of guilt if i would have (which is actually kinda silly). But then i thought, if i have the resources 2 make a dog's life better (shelter, food, and attention), i would be doing an injustice 2 not take another one in...especially since so many die every day in SPCA's all around the world. In the end, i felt 100 times better and it helped distract the me from the pain and loss.

NORAH JONES - Not Too Late Not Too Late (2007) Every once in awhile i can get down with this kinda stuff.

Ha ha...yeah, what's up with all these emcees and rappers having models (and in some cases, model-wanna-be's) in theit Top 8. At least he doesn't have classless ho's like some of them.

I didn't actually see the part that talked about Timbaland. What did it say?? Timbaland has always been one of the most creative people in Hip-Hop...it's hard 2 imagin him coping ANYTHING.

AFTER ALL THE TRASH BOW WOW TALKED...
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I know he's done a few smaller parts like in Johnson Family Vacation or something like that. Roll Bounce waz really good, but if he ever gets 2 a place where he'd have a succesful movie career in front of him, it would take quite a few good movies and quite a few good rolls. Nick Cannon's been jugeling the 2 for years and his only generating moderate success in both. -
After Bow Wow made those statements like "Will Smith isn't really a rapper anymore...he does more movies than music these days" and stuff like that. Bow Wow waz on a radio show that airs on my local Hip-Hop/R-N-B station (which plays 85% crap). The host (who is about as white as u can possibly) asked Bow Wow that if he came 2 a point in his career where he have a successful movie career for the rest of his life, would he quit music. Bow Wow said "yes"...but that he'd have 2 run his own record label to stay involved. So after saing FP wasn't an emcee anymore due 2 movies....Bow Wow would totally stop rapping for the movie thing. Ha ha...i can't even respect that. He really does have a twisted sense of self.

MUSIQ SOULCHILD + KEL SPENCER - Buddy (Remix) ? (2006)
-
That's crazy!! I actually knew he had been recording in the last 5 years cuz i have an article that talked about it. And a few months ago i found a dead link 2 a new song...but since it waz dead i didn't share it with anyone. I'll have 2 check the music. Kid 'N Play is one of my fav groups.

I'm sorry 2 hear that. I know all 2 well how that goes. U gotta be thankful for the times u had 2gether and cherish those memories. My heart and prayers go out 2 your situation, man.

KEL SPENCER - Hip-Hop Story (2006)
-
No way, i own some of his past albums. I loved his 1st 2...and since them he's been kinda inconsistant. This is probably his best album since Illmatic. Other than Mos Def's album way at the bottom of the charts...this is probably the only real Hip-Hop album right now. This album is doing more for Hip-Hop than any album with mainstream success in the last 8 years.

Yeah, i think there should be some kinda polished mixtape or compilation album with remixes and b-sides (released or unreleased). Sometimes i'll throw 2gether a mixtape 4 the car and be like "man, this is good." And when it comes 2 unrelased stuff, he's got tons of trax and remixes that never came out. He calls it his "weak stuff" but u know most of it has got 2 be really good. In reality...i don't think we can expect anything like that tho.' FP just isn't a mixtape kinda artist. He likes 2 put out polished albums every few years. All these other rappers dropping mixtapes are putting the weakest of their crap on their mixtapes. FP dosen't wanna do that 2 his catelog.

Man, he needs 2 release a remix album or EP with all this stuff. Is it just me, or is Nas the best thing going with commerical success at the moment?!? Nobody is doing what he's doing...and nobody is on his level.

Bow Wow's Next Single - OUTTA MY SYSTEM
JumpinJack AJ replied to DevilsJim89's topic in Caught in the Middle
I listened 2 Bow Wow's album in stores when it 1st dropped. I remember really liking 2 of the song...so this is probably one of those 2. I don't hate on Bow Wow like most people here. Growing up on young Hip-Hop groups like Another Bad Creation, Kris Kross, Da Youngstas, and Illegal has made it so i'm more open 2 them as i'm older. I thought alot of his early stuff waz just fun kiddie Hip-Hop. Those 2 big singles off his 3rd album are dope. Of his last album (which i got at a really cheap price) only had 2 or 3 good trax on...the rest were average 2 below average. That's kinds where his album waz when i listened 2 it. It's a shame, cuz Bow Wow's flow is 100 times better than most of the people who get radio air play. If only he didn't alter his sound 2 be more of a dirty south feel...and of course dropping some lyrics that we can't take seriously. If that boy would fix his ego, he'd probably become a very promising emcee that could change the game when it comes 2 the commercial and mainstream side of things. -
Yeah, i have a feeling that this album will be better and that it'll get more attention than the 1st. Still wishing the 'Prince graced a track tho.'
-
It wasn't really a hit. The video almost never got played and i never heard it on the radio. I saw a few singles in stores but there waz never a real buzz about the song. He did perform the song "live/lipsynced" at Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year Eve. I think it's safe to say it would be a stretch 2 call it a minor hit. The song is dope tho'...always waz one of my favs off the album. I took me years 2 track down the remix that they used in the video. If u find the single online...get it. The remixes are excellent. Probably the best set or remixes off Homebase.

KATHARINE MCPHEE - Ordinary World (self-titled) (2007) I peeped this album in a record store outta curiousity...it's so good i bought it. This album is really good. And with the 1st-week-out sale price...it's worth the picture of her in itself...ha ha.

JJ+FP + JILL SCOTT - The Rain Jill Scott Collaborations (1999/2007) It's dope that one of JJ+FP's dopest trax is on this album. The best thing is...the credits are so vague that listeners will think this joint is brand new. I don't like the way the track b4 it kinda bleeds in "The Rain" tho.'

BRANDY INVOLVED IN FATAL CAR ACCIDENT
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
50 million...am i wrong by saying that it looks like they are taking advantage that a celebrity is involved in the accident? Especially since they weren't there and make the claim that Brandy waz driving wrecklessly...even tho' the whole thing is being investigated. -
LILY ALLEN - Littlest Things Alright, Still (2007) I like this girl...her vibe is just cool.

I'm not surprised. Even when The Magnificent dropped...it didn't pop up in the stores until a week later than it should have. And i never saw The EP in stores.

Official Site Being Updated
JumpinJack AJ replied to Big Willie's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Well, due 2 lack of support, L+F has run it's course commerically. So it is time for an update. Music will be part of it of course...but if there is no new music at the moment, it only makes sense 2 focus on other parts of his career. -
BRANDY INVOLVED IN FATAL CAR ACCIDENT
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
Police Want Brandy Charged in Vehicle Death Evidence Being Reviewed by City Attorney's Office By JEREMIAH MARQUEZ, AP LOS ANGELES (Jan. 29) - The California Highway Patrol recommended Monday that actress-singer Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in a freeway crash that killed a woman motorist last month, a city attorney's spokesman told The Associated Press. The CHP referred the matter to the city attorney's office for review, said spokesman Nick Velasquez. "The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter," Velasquez said. A message seeking comment from Brandy's publicist, Courtney Barnes, was not immediately returned. The charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in county jail and a $1,000 fine, Velasquez said. Prosecutors couldn't say when they would make a decision about whether to bring a case. If charged, Brandy wouldn't necessarily have to appear in court and could have her lawyer enter a plea, Velasquez said. Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, has publicly expressed condolences to the victim's family, Barnes said last week. Barnes also has said Brandy wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. Brandy, 27, was driving a Land Rover on Interstate 405 on Dec. 30 when traffic slowed and her vehicle struck the back of Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, according to a CHP report. Aboudihaj's car hit another vehicle, slid sideways into the center divider and was then hit by another car, the report said. Aboudihaj, a Los Angeles waitress, died at a hospital from blunt-force injuries, according to the coroner's office. Bill Sayed, an attorney for Aboudihaj's husband, said he supported the CHP's recommendation. Brandy, who earned a Grammy in 1999, has made five albums. She began her recording career at 14 and acted for film and television, starring on the sitcom "Moesha" from 1996-2001 and most recently as a judge for NBC's "America's Got Talent." -
