Will Smith is definitely a cool dad, but even cool dads question their children’s choices sometimes. That was the case for Will when his son Jaden decided to wear a Batman costume to prom. In an interview with GQ Magazine, the actor spoke about his son’s infamous outfit, the same one that he wore to the Kimye wedding. He told the mag, “The night before we get an emergency call from [his date’s] father: ‘My daughter has just found out that Jaden is wearing a Batman suit to the prom.’ So we talked to Jaden, and he agreed to wear a tie with the Batman suit. So, I blame his mother.” Check out the candid interview above.

ERYKAH BADU feat. ANDRE 3000 - Hello You Caint Use My Phone (2015) http://www.audiomack.com/song/2dbz/hello This JUST dropped now. I gotta be real, I much rather have an entire album by Andre and Erykah than I would Andre and Big Boi right now.

New Album, World Tour and Bad Boys III in 2016
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
That article has a nice excitement to it, but is sounds like it was written by someone in middle school who did a bunch of research right before writing it.- 154 replies

I admire that you are still looking. I have a feeling it'll never be properly released. -
Bomba Estéreo, Will Smith - Fiesta (Remix)[Cover Audio]
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I love the set and pyro. The dancers were on point. Admittedly, the lead singer isn't that easy to listen. Her voice is much more suited for the studio. It was a good performance overall, but I'm looking forward to him performing his own stuff. -
Bomba Estéreo, Will Smith - Fiesta (Remix)[Cover Audio]
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I can't wait to see him rip it live. At the same time, the buzz behind the song has really died down. -
THIS IS DOPE! I love that it's up for download too!! I agree that this is from 1989. FP's presence and flow fits right in with And In This Corner.... I love that their interaction is more like what you'd hear from the first two albums though with some of the previous DJ routines. Seeing this post is an awesome way to wake up.

New Album, World Tour and Bad Boys III in 2016
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
It's sounds like the who thing will have an old school vibe. It won't be just a rapper in every day clothes with a mic. I'm expecting a real show...fashion, lights, dancers, all supporting the main focus, the DJ and the rapper.- 154 replies

Great little interview. I'd love to hear more legendary Hip-Hop artists talk about JJ+FP. I feel that they rarely get talked about by their peers.

Will Smith confirms tour with Jazzy Jeff on Ellen
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Most us know that FP doesn't hint about something happening unless it's definitely happening. All of that "MAYBE" we'll tour stuff was him tell us, those who know him as an emcee, that he IS touring. I really wanna know the dates and locations because I'd like to see as many shows that are reasonable. Shoot, the fellas can hire me to be part of their crew. I have no problem telling my job I'm taking a few months off.- 8 replies

I like that your building it back up. To be honest, I liked that the website featured the basic information, such as the discography, lyrics, filmography, etc. I feel that that's what makes the website a one-stop shop. I know other members in this forum have JJ+FP websites, but I kinda like this one being the one that has it all. Are you just wanting less website to maintain?

Well, we all saw this coming... Former N.W.A. Manager Jerry Heller Sues Ice Cube, Dr. Dre Entertainment | Camille Travis | 10/30/2015 | 03:30 PM EDT Heller believes his character was defamed in the Universal film 'Straight Outta Compton' N.W.A.'s former manager has filed a lawsuit against the producers and studio responsible for the summer blockbuster Straight Outta Compton, claiming the biopic defamed his character. Jerry Heller filed the complaint against Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, the estate of Eazy-E, NBC Universal and others, reports TMZ. He believes the film painted him as "a sleazy manager who took advantage of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube" and calls the portrayal "damaging." In the suit, he points out several "lies" from the film, which include: withholding a $75,000 check from Ice Cube; persuading Dr. Dre and Ice Cube to sign unfavorable contracts; having lobster brunches while signing contracts; and firing Eazy-E. Heller says producers used his book without permission for various scenes in the film and were never given permission to use his likeness. He is seeking $35 million in compensatory damages and at least $75 million in punitive damages, as well as all profits from the film. http://www.centrictv.com/entertainment/celebrity-news/articles/2015/10/30/former-n-w-a-manager-jerry-heller-sues-ice-cube-dr-dre.html

I saw Ladybug Mecca post about this on Facebook and was waiting for some sort of official news. Well, here it is. I'm so hype! Hopefully this will lead to more shows and new music. As some of you recall, they reunite in 2012. Ladybug was the first one out, then shortly before the new project came out (they only released one single), they called it off. Here's the article... Digable Planets Set For New Years Eve Reunion Show In Seattle It’s been a little over four years since anyone saw Butterfly, Doodlebug and Ladybug Mecca BKA Digable Planets in one place, at one time. Following their original parting of ways back in 1995, the trio has released one compilation record in 2005’s Beyond the Spectrum: the Creamy Spy Chronicles and since then, have worked on their own respective projects, with Butterfly going on to form genre-killers Shabazz Palaces alongside Tendai “Baba” Maraire. But the years have been long without the “Rebirth Of Cool” architects, and while their last attempt at a reunion fell through in 2012, the unanimously adored golden age trio appears to be giving it another run. On December 30th and 31st, Digable Planets will be getting the band back together, playing two consecutive nights at Seattle’s Neptune Theater for what will surely be a packed and anxious crowd, who will also be blessed by a performance from Shabazz Palaces. You can get the full scoop and ticket information by hitting the link below. Let’s hope this time it sticks. Revisit the trio’s catalogue on Spotify today. http://www.okayplayer.com/news/digable-planets-are-reuniting-new-years-eve.html

AUTOMATIC - DOPE NEW HIP-HOP GROUP
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
Yeah, the first time I was listening to them, I was getting a Common Sense "Like Chocolate For Water" vibe. If you check out their album albums to the right, the last few are completely free. I assume the top few could have been downloaded for free too, but I spent money for them. Art deserves to be compensated. -
I was recently introduced to a new Hip-Hop group through the Arrested Development's newsletter. Speech did a song with them, so they got mentioned the newsletter. I clicked the link to hear their EP, and before a minute of the first song was through, I was buying it. Down to earth lyrics and a classic Hip-Hop sound. The whole vibe fits well, particularly with the 1998-2002 era. If you claim to love Hip-Hop, I strongly encourage you to give them a listen (and throw some money at them to download the EP if you like what you hear). Peep and download the EP here: https://automatic.bandcamp.com/ Here's info I've lifted from their Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/automatic.music/timeline). AUTOMatic Music is the perfect name for the hip-hop group formed by Milwaukee based emcee A.P.R.I.M.E. and producer Trellmatic. The perfection that comes from their musical collaboration is simply, automatic. The group got their start in 2007 after years of being fans of each other’s work. A.P.R.I.M.E. has been putting out music since 2004, and an unexpected exit of his partner in his previous group Class:Sick left him once again looking for new ways to release his creativity. Trellmatic has been producing music for people since the early 2000’s and after doing an entire album for Arizona based emcee Mr. Miranda (then known as Smooth), he too was looking for a new challenge. 2008 saw the release of their first underground album, Audiology, an album full of potential that was well received by the Milwaukee hip-hop community. A.P.R.I.M.E. took to the stage around the city to increase the awareness about the new project him and Trell did, in addition to working on building up hype for the greater collective they were a part of, the House of Mutants. In 2009, the House of M decided that it was time to solidify their legacy in Milwaukee hip-hop history by becoming a group and releasing an album. The Alternate Reality Of… came out in August of ’09 to an incredible amount of local hype, seeing the legendary club Mad Planet filled to capacity, and local media having nothing but praise for the album. A.P.R.I.M.E. was the stand out leader of the group on the album, showing exponential growth in skill between 2008 and 2009, and Trellmatic’s production provided a crucial dimension of smooth to the often aggressive release. For the next several months the M’s music began to filter into people’s ears all across the world and they booked dozens of shows around the Midwest, rocking stages at bars, clubs, and universities. AUTOMatic Music took this hype and used it to catapult them into writing and recording the follow up to Audiology. Through several months of hard work, the throwback classic track filled Transistor was born. The chemistry that A.P.R.I.M.E. and Trellmatic have is further cemented by the work done on Transistor, again showing growth in their development, not only as a duo, but singularly at their respective crafts. The music from the new album has hit the underground hard, finding love in places all across the US through several key blogs as well as overseas in Belgium and Germany. The sincerity with which AUTOMatic Music shows the founding fathers of hip-hop respect in undeniably charming and the work ethic that they employ is exactly what you’d expect from people who are doing the art form of hip-hop out of love and not out of greed. AUTOMatic Music is the next best thing to the golden era of hip-hop, and it’s the revival of the golden era sound that AUTOMatic Music is here to bring back, and will bring back, because when the music that you do is automatic, there’s no way that it can be denied.

Excellent article! While our history with JJ+FP and Hip-Hop is different, you captured the feeling of the upcoming tour and music perfectly!
