  1. THE FUGEES - The Score (da album) (1996) For those who slept on this album and want it. Columbia has pushed out alot of copies everywhere. Most places have it priced at $11.99. If u don't mind getting the edited version, Wal-Mart has it on sale for just $7.99 right now. I'm not sure if the sale continues after Saturday.
  2. I just watched a news special on the E! network. It confirmed that a few of Snoop's friends started the mess. But since it waz Snoop's crew, he got arrested also. He's been released already.
  3. I always knew mark waz an idiot...but now i think everyone knows.
  4. Yeah, anyone looking 4 some inspirational thoughts, i strongly urge u 2 try it out. Each e-mail gives u a spiritual message that'll leave u looking at your life and seeing if u need 2 change anything 4 a more positive outlook. There is much more 2 this man than "Kel Spencer" the emcee.
  5. BLACK EYED PEAS - Gone Going Monkey Business (2005)
  6. "We're Gonna Make It" is one of the best songs written in years. Lyric 4 lyric, it's on point. 2 say it's "weird" becuz it's not something u believe in is irrelevant. Those lyrics are probably my favorite on the whole album. nothin gonna hold you back theres no limits (i've learned over the past few years that if u limit your thinking, u limit your life...i started believeing in more for myself and broke alot of walls down that many people said would never happen) im set to bring truth to rap - not gimmicks (commerical rap is all about gimmicks...LL has always put truth and relavant lyrics in his music...regaurdless the phase he waz doing thru') Man listen, heres the moral to the thesis y'all cats need jesus he put your life back together pick up the pieces (i'll over look the relgious message 4 those who don't believe the same, or get all bent out of shape cuz they don't understand it...alot of people lead boring lives where u can't expect much and get involved in negative things....when u find something positive, i'll chaing the way u think, live, and the actions u take. Imagin how different things would be if those commercial rappers weren't poisoning the minds of their listeners) word to the masses i heard God ask us for less fake rappers and more real pastors (there aren't alot of people stepping up, spreading truth, or offering something solid 2 listeners. Hip-Hop waz never meant 2 be that way. Real Hip-Hop will address a problem and solve it, or introduce something new 2 a listener)
  7. That song is dope, Wes!! LL COOL J + LYFE - Freeze Todd Smith (2006)
  8. When u have dropped so many albums...u gotta try different things when u hit those double digits. I think that album is dope also...check my reiview on it a few pages back. I waz listening 2 it earlier 2day myself.
  9. YES!! SOME NEW MC LYTE!!! IT'S ABOUT TYME!!! I gotta check out this book 2. Thanx 4 posting this!!
  10. Snoop has changed his life over the years. Some of his lyrics may talk about getting wrapped up in the street life...but he's moved on from that. He's got a family and a successful lifestyle. I wouldn't be surprised if Julie is right. That one of his friends took things in2 his own hands...and since Snoop is famous, he got taken down with them. Notice that the incident happened at HEATHROW AIRPORT. Get of that H and replace it with a D....he just needs 2 stay away from places that are spelled alot like Deathrow. Ha ha!
  11. Off the top of my head... Lost + Found, Could U Love Me, and Loretta all kinda have a very updated Code Red vibe 2 me. Pump Ya Breaks reminds me of and updated He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper vibe cuz it informative lyrics. If U Can't Dance (Slide) and Here He Comes reminds me of an updated Homebase vibe. Scary Story reminds me of Rock The House since it's a before/after fame story telling kinda song.
  12. That's awesome. As a positive thinker...i can't say i'm insanely surprised...but it's definitly a strong statement supporting the officail return of JJ+FP. Lost + Found waz a great stepping stool 4 it. And the way The Return... sounds...it'll be another great stepping stool 2 JJ+FP making a real comeback.
  13. RIHANNA - P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You) A Girl Like Me (2006) Yeah, Rihanna dropped a new album. If u liked the 1st, u'll like this one.
  14. Before i vote any more on this site...what is the point? Is this just some site set up by someone or is it connected 2 something of at least a little importance?? If it's connected 2 something relevant, i'll vote more...and help get some other truely talented people higher than the others on there.
  15. TLC - I Bet R U The Girl With T-Boz + Chilli (2006)
  16. Ha ha...thanx. I love 2 be detail oriented. I like the idea of giving someone an idea of an album or movie with words. On top of that, many reviewers write just 2 rip music and movies apart. I don't often diss certain projects unless they are embarrasingly bad projects like G-Unit albums. I think reviewers should be fans of artists, emcees, singers, actors, directors if they are gonna do the interview. People who will actually read that interview and be interested in the project are usually gonna be people who actually care about it. Not people who just wanna rip it apart.
  17. Normally i listen 2 their/her music all day on this day. Since i worked about 12 hours, i've been listening 2 Supernova for the pasat few hours. On Friday, when i have a day off, i'm gonna pop in my TLC Nw + Forever DVD (which waz technically released). TLC strenghthened alot of people. Many people view as a Hip-Hop/R-N-B group that had amazing commerical success. Lyrically, there waz so much more going on in their songs. I hope they have some kinda legacy that kicks up in a big way.
  18. LEFT EYE - I Believe In Me Supernova (2001) I got a stack of CDs i just got that i'm about 2 go thru'... FATHER MC "Sexual Playground" (1995) FATHER MC "My" (2003) RIHANNA "A Girl Like Me" (2006) AVANT "Director" (2006) AMEL LARRIEUX "Morning" (2006)
  19. I got a situation on my hands that could effect me 4 a long time that's very annoying and could my life kinda difficult 4 awhile. For those that don't know, i recently got promoted 2 being the store manager at me work. I'm at the top of the foodchain...until it comes the home office. Well, i love my job and my co-workers. I'm a very laidback and fun kinda boss and everyone loves working there. Very recently, i have been forced 2 hire on a new assistant manager. I wanted 2 hire within the store, but due 2 various polotics, that wazn't an option (until it waz 2 late). Anyways, i met with this one girl, talked 2 her, interviewed her, and due 2 her past work experience, she waz everything i waz looking for. On top of that i had a very good feeling about her in my heart. I waz very relieved and excited about how things were working out. Well, i hired her and literally just as i put her in the computer and giving her the position....THE MASK CAME OFF. She become strongly opinionated and blunt. I waz training her and telling her many rules and company policies in which she challenged and took as "suggestions." She later went on 2 say things that sounded like she waz telling me i didn't know how 2 do my job. THEN, 2 top it all off, she said a sarcastic but joking comment 2 one of my co-workers which caused her 2 flip out. Most of the people in the store have stopped in just 2 see her cuz they've heard how things have been. I e-mailed my district manager about the situation and he said that "i'm stuck with her." Needless 2 say, it looks like i'm stuck having this person that my team will not like or respect that i don't even wanna work with. In the past, there have been like 2 other people i wanted 2 get rid of, but couldn't just fire them 4 no reasons. When i realized that i should let God fight my battles and not take it upon myself, it always resolved itself in a timely manner. I'm really hoping that it will happen with this situation 2. So, i the meantime, i'm gonna be on my toes training this person and hoping it won't turn out that bad, while i don't think ANYONE i work with will wanna work with her. All in all, i'm just hoping i can get some prayer support on this situation that it gets solved without any negative vibes and hopefully in a timely fashion. Thanx in advance!
  20. Instead of starting a new post...i just wanted 2 bump this one out. It's amazing how times flies. It just seems like yesterday when i saw them rock a crowd live. And just yesterday when i heard the news which devistated me. In the past year, all we can really say about TLC is that their show R U The Girl With T-Boz + Chilli provided the single "I Bet" which has generated no success. The girl they chose 2 do the song with had virtually had no real relevant skillz which waz disappointing...but i know i'm one of millions who were happy 2 get the new song...but only one of thousands who actually bought the single (or found it for that matter). The new version of Now + Forever (their Greatest Hits album) has yet 2 be released or promoted while the original version sat in a wherehouse for 2 years only 2 be released with NO promotion (in the US). Left Eye's family have since abandoned her website and haven't pushed 2 finally release and/or repackage her solo album for the US. Well, reguardless of what the future holds, both girls say they are slowly working on solo albums and other projects (T-Boz can be found singing on a YoungbloodZ track). Rest In Peace Left Eye
  21. RUN-DMC:Greatest Hits 1983-1991 - RATING 10 What better way 2 have all their hits 2gether? I like this version better than the 2003 version. HOWEVER, 4 those of u who never picked up a Run-DMC "Greatest Hits" album, Circuit City has the 2003 version on sale for just $7.99 this week through Saturday. Micheal Jackson:Invincible RATING 8.5 Just a great R-N-B album. The lyrics are amazing and u can just tell he put years of work in2 the album. LL Cool J:10 RATING 8.5 I love this album. It's got stuff 4 the streets, stuff 4 the ladies, stuff for the radio, a dash of soul. Dope lyrics...and while some people may prefer a different sound. I think the production waz dope. DMC:Checks,Thugs And Rock N Roll RATING 7.5 - A legend takes a solo spin with a slightly new direction. There's only 1 or 2 songs i'm not feeling that much. Other than that, i love the album, the way he mixes genres and the different eras in Hip-Hop. Not 2 mention a new Run-DMC track!! LL Cool J:14 Shots To The Dome RATING 9 Classic pioneer old schooler taking on the changes in Hip-Hop. If u like Code Red, Black Reign, etc...u'll love this album. LL might have been exhausted when he put this album 2gether with a slightly weaker direction...but it's still dope. LL Cool J: Momma Said Knock You Out RATING 10 Early 90's Hip-Hop in it's rawest form. Something 4 the streets, the radio, and the ladies, as always from LL.
  22. I didn't check the video since my computer is slow. Is it the clip from 1998ish where he goes 2 get up on stage and slips...then plays it off in try FP fashion?
