  1. Ha ha...Brakes...that is a fun song. KWAME - Incognito (da album) (1994)
  2. WYCLEF, BRIAN MCKNIGHT, GLENN LEWIS, KELLY PRICE, ANTHONY HAMILTON, JOSS STONE, JOHN LEGEND, ANGIE STONE, MYA, STACIE ORRICO, JO JO, RUBEN STUDDARD, NATALIE COLE, PATTIE LABELLE, RL HUGGAR, CELINE DION, NICK CARTER + AJ MCLEAN of THE BACKSTREET BOYS, GAVIN DEGRAW, AARON CARTER, GARU, TREN'L, LEE RYAN, JESSE MCCARTNEY, THE GAME, + CHINGY - Come Together Now (2005) Why isn't this song getting any air play?
  3. I went with depends...becuz...it depends if u have skillz and it depends on the relationship. Back when i used 2 write alot, i used give stuff 2 the girl i waz seeing or the one on my mind at the time. Now i wish that i didn't have all this stuff out there in other people's possesion. I don't know...maybe i'm just weird about that stuff.
  4. BEST MOVIES Four Brothers (the illest) Hitch (y'all know) Madagascar (never gets old) Batman Begins Be Cool Fat Albert (technically, it came out just b4 the new year...but love it) Mr. + Mrs. Smith The Longest Yard Charlie + The Chocolate Factory Dukes of Hazard (not amazing...but it waz a good tyme) I didn't really see any movies i that i hated. But i waz very disappointed as 2 how average Fun With Dick + Jane waz.
  5. JJ+FP didn't have the 1st platnium-certified album. That waz definitly Run-DMC or Beastie Boys. Here a thought tho'...waz FP the 1st emcee 2 take part in a pop tribute? Of course there were Hip-Hop posse cuts like "We're All In The Same Gang" and "Self Distruction"...but when it comes 2 a pop cattle-call tribute, FP might have been the 1st 2 do that with the Voices That Care project. Another thing...DJ Jazzy Jeff got an endorsment deal with Starter back in 1993. Did any other DJ (not an emcee or rapper) ever get an endorsement deal without being part of a group?
  6. Wes, i'd crack up if u changed your name 2 Wes Syde
  7. Well, i don't think u can consider Hip-Hop 2 be anything other than what it is. Unless someone is clueless as 2 what Hip-Hop is...there is no way u can consider most of the artists who've got on the charts that last few years a Hip-Hop artist or emcee. And i will give u that 50 Cent actually did have a better style back in the day. I did hear some of his late '90's stuff back when it waz current. He didn't bother me at all...but at the same time, he didn't have any real qualities that made him stand out. He's a joke. His older style had 2 do alot with trends. If he waz a legit artist, he would care about Hip-Hop music and not create the trash he has been 4 the last few years. Not 2 mention writing the garbage lyrics he writes. He's a lost lil' child making money off selling out, gimmicks, and zero effort in making music of quality or substance. I'm just standin' up 4 something i love called Hip-Hop.
  8. Man...they were just kinda annoying 2 me. But props 2 them 4 picking up Lost + Found.
  9. Man, i just looked up all the old pix i posted and they're gone. Oh well.
  10. Ha...it's a group pic. It had 2 other guys and 5 girls in it. I think if u go back a few pages in this post, u can see a bunch of pictures of me with girls...ha ha.
  11. When i jump in, it has nothing 2 do with somebody's taste in music. For all i care, somebody can think Lil' Jon is a rap god. My problem is when someone tries 2 say G-Unit, Nelly, or somebody like that makes Hip-Hop music or that they have depth 2 their lyrics. There is Hip-Hop and there is Rap...and when somebody tries 2 taint the name of Hip-Hop by associating it with the likes of Lil' Wayne...i'll stand up 4 it. For the few people who do that...your "opinion" on that is as legit as me saying Metallica makes classical music...it's just wrong.
  12. I saw the movie over a year ago, but i'm pretty sure it's a mixture. Some of it is Jamie Foxx...some of it is actually audio from Ray Charles' music.
  13. Nobody ever watches the People's Choice Awards...i doubt he'd be a part of this. Any newz?
  14. RICH NICE - Hey Radio (((unreleased))) (2006)
  15. Okay, Bringing Down The House was a lil' watered down. But i still liked it (and own it). I thought Taxi waz good...except that i can't stand Jimmy Fallon. Last Holiday has looked good 2 me since i 1st saw the trailor. U know u can expect a review from me on a movie like this.
  16. I watch all the celeb reality shows on VH-1. They are just silly and they always support Hip-Hop artists...especially ones from the old school. Flav's new show is hilarious. I tune in every Sunday night.
  17. **EDIT** DJ Jazzy Jeff waz the 1st 2 put the transformer scratch and the chip scratch ON WAX *JJ+FP waz on the 1st episode of Yo! MTV Raps with Run-DMC *FP was the 1st emcee to crossover and get his own TV show
  18. SHAQUILLE O'NEAL + RAKIM - Game Of Death You Can't Stop The Rain (1996) I might be the only one who totally feels Shaq's music...but some of u should really peep out his 1996 album.
  19. FP is in Kel's 1st video. U have my word on that.
  20. I'm wit Wes. I don't see why it's hard 2 see why i can't stand commerical rap. Over the past few months alot of new people have shown up...alot of u are young and just haven't been exposed 2 real Hip-Hop. Everyone is entitled 2 their own opinion, but school yourself. After listening 2 old school Hip-Hop and true school Hip-Hop, it's no great wonder why most Hip-Hop heads hate commercial rap. Over produced beats are used 2 cover up a lack of skill on the mic. Half the time, that isn't even the case. All those 50 Cent beats are trash. They are lightweight, sloppily processed trax. Then u hear their voices and delivery. Mike Jones, G-Unit, Nelly, and Lil' Jon sound awful on the mic. They have zero skillz on the mic...period. U've all heard Fresh Prince on the mic...how u gonna say any of them can share the same studio as him. And lastly, but most importantly...LYRICS. G-Unit isn't saying anything that has been a million times on rap records in the past 10 years. There is no creativity or originality 2 what they do. All these commercial cats are cookie cutter puppets who do what everyone else dose. They are preaching poison 2 kids and weak minded individuals. Even when they try 2 come correct, they fall flat on their face. Listen 2 "Tell Me Why"...it dosen't get any realer than that. Listen 2 Jadakiss' "Why." There's no heart in that. Jadakiss isn't idenifying with people suffering in this world. He's just making a record. If record lables ever wanna stop supporting all these idiots who are doing this, maybe we can get back 2 the days of the 80's and early 90's when smart, positive people actually had a chance of making a decent video, getting it aired, and have spins on the radio. Wake up people. p.s. i doubt i'll feel like replying 2 anyone who is gonna defend G-Unit, Mike Jones, Nelly, Ja-Rule, Lil' Jon, Ying Yang Twins, Lil' Scrappy, Tony Yayo, Puffy, Jadakiss, Ludacris or anyone else. Say what u want, but i've said pretty much all i need 2 say. This topic has been run in2 the ground recently.
  21. Tim, what makes u think this movie will bad. They are airing the trailors like crazy here in the US and the movie looks real good and inspirational 2 me.
