  1. Wow, that's alot 2 have on your mind. I'll definitly keep u and your family in my prayers. Sometimes these testing times in life open up 2 better times. I feel like that's how my life has been. I've had alot of things not go my way in the past 2 years...especially the past year. Finally, just now, i see things turning around, one by one. Stay strong.
  2. By the trailor, it looked like the movie would annoy me. One of my friends said that i would like it tho.' I still think i'm gonna wait til it hits video. Which in reality probably means i'll see it 5 years from now.
  3. Opps! Ha ha...i knew that. Sometimes i just mix the Chris's up.
  4. What did Chris Rock say in the 1st place? I'm confused. Either way, this article is kinda funny since Mariah Carey's new video "Shake It Off" just came out this week and they are both in it...ha ha.
  5. I could see Busta Rhymes being on Aftermath a very good thing. Again, it is similar 2 the Rakim situation. U have an old school legend in your hands. And if u dont' give them the freedom and quality music that want, trouble 2 arise. Rakim is like the best emcee ever. People call him a legend cuz of what he dose...what gave Aftermath the room 2 try and mess with his style that would make him mad enuff 2 leave. U are supposed 2 cater 2 people like that, not jerk them around. Just look at G-Unit and that stuff. Their image and music sucks. U can't treat people like Rakim the same way. Busta Rhymes waz supposed 2 be one of the songs on the Aftermath album from 1996. I can't rember the title, but i'd remember if i waz listening 2 the album. Politics kept him off it tho.'
  6. U can hear a snippet of it as Amazon/CDnow. I got mine from half.com 4 a good price.
  7. BLACK EYED PEAS - Don't Lie This waz already one of my favorite songs on the album...but now i'm watching the video VH-1. This'll definitly be another big hit 4 them. And BEP consistently have the best videos in Hip-Hop.
  8. I have it on vinyl...but i havnen't put it on my computer yet. Maybe one day.
  9. I do think it's important 2 keep his activity on the soundtracks of his own movies limited...but man this waz the soundtrack 4 him 2 be on. There isn't any love songs or songs about releationships on Lost + Found and u KNOW he recorded some. The Hitch soundtrack would have been the perfect place 4 them. And we all know "If U Can't Dance (Slide)" waz totally done with Hitch in mind. I could also easily see FP dropping a verse on Amerie's song, Omarion's song, and Melanie Smith's song.
  10. I popped this CD in again 2nite. "Mirrorball" amazes me with every listen. I've given the rest of the album a listen, but not 2 deeply. I popped it in like 2 hours ago and REALLY gave the whole album a listen (twice) and it's just amazing. I don't care if Jazzy Jeff had anything 2 do with it, if i heard this CD playing in a music store, i would get it. It's just that good. I can vibe with the album start 2 finish. Having DJ Jazzy Jeff put in work on it is just an added bonus.
  11. I like all kinds of stuff...here's a few... In The House, Martin, Living Single, Lois + Clark, In Living Color, Mad TV, X-Files, Smallville, Buffy The Vampire Slayer (still love the movie more tho'), Jackass, Viva La Bam, Surreal Life, Newlyweds, BET's Comicview, Soul Food. I could go on 4ever.
  12. Everyone has different opinions and tastes...but i like it alot. It's got some old 60's and 70's R-N-B on it, along with new trax from Amerie, John Legend (produced by Will.I.Am or Black Eyed Peas), Omarion (a track from his album feat. Big Boi or OutKast), a Kevin Lyttle remix, and a brilliant song from Melanie Smith (who i'm guessing is a new comer 2 the music scene). Let's not 4get the 1991 Hip-Hop classic from Heavy D "Now That We Found Love." I like every song on it, howver, they used ALOT of music in that movie. I kinda wish that had an old skool version of it with all the 60's and 70's stuff, and a version of nothing but new music. U can probably preview the album on Amazon/CDnow.
  13. GWEN STAFANI - Cool I just saw this video 4 the 1st time. I loved the song already, but he video took the song 2 the next level. It has a retro 80's pop ballad feel and it talks about being cool with a ex from back in the day who has a girlfriend. The whole thing is very 80's Madonnaish. The video actually takes u 2 a place mentally that alot of people can relate 2, even if they've never gone thru' something like that.
  14. If someone finds news, i think it's cool 2 post it over there. Afterall, there needs 2 be some real newz posted there once in awhile. THere are actually fans over there who are interested in real newz. However, i wouldn't steal something from this site...at least not without asking.
  15. I didn't check the link....but basicially, Ready Rock C was owed money, but probably more than he realistically deserved. FP offered 2 put him on Willennium and claimed Jive didn't pay him most of the royalties owed 2 them. So Ready Rock C went thru' with a full-on lawsuit, which got tossed out.
  16. Actually u were making a big deal about it until edited the post.
  17. Man, there's so many joints i fell in love with this year. I'm not gonna put 2 much thought in2 this cuz i'll be thinkin' really hard 4 like an hour...so here's a random list. JJ+FP - If U Can't Dance (Slide) FP - Swagga Common Sense - Go! Marques Houston + Young Rome - All Because of You Arrested Development - Wag Your Tail Omarion - O Usher + Alicia Keys - My Boo Jill Scott - Golden John Legend - Ordinary People Natalie - Goin' Crazy
  18. WARREN G - Regulate...G Funk Era (da album) Man, this album is just amazing. 11 years later i'm feelin' it just as much as back in the day.
  19. Over the past 2 months, this is what i have listened 2 the most when it comes 2 full albums... Fresh Prince - Lost + Found Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business Arrested Development - Among The Trees Common Sense - Be Marques Houston - Naked R. Kelly - TP.3 Reloaded Silk - The Best of... Jodeci - Back To The Future: The Best of... Jason Mraz - Mr. A-Z Into The Woods: Original Broadway Cast Recording...for rehearsing
  20. Ummm...he's not using the word "bums" in context with poor people.
  21. I just got finished watching TLC's show R U The Girl with T-Boz + Chilli. As a die hard TLC fan straight from 1991, i waz scared 2 death of how it would turn out. However, the show is everything i think a TLC fan could dream of. The show opens with the girls breifly talking about TLC. Where they came from, how they defined Hip-Hop, then became the biggest girl group of all time. They then talked about Left Eye and how they are not trying 2 replace her with this TV show, but how they needed 2 take hiatus from the bizness. Now they are ready 2 comeback and give a fan a chance 2 perform with them 4 a song on their Greatest Hits album (which is weird since Now + Forever waz released overseas in 2003 and then here in the US just last month). They want a girl who can sing, dance, and rap 4 the song and the girl will get 2 perform with them live in concert. The girls of TLC have not changed. They are still beautiful, hilarious, and up 2 the crazysexycool behavior they defined over 10 years ago. After going thru' lots of audition tapes, they visit a handful of girls in a close area on each episode, give them a CD with the song they want them 2 perform and an invitation. The girls then audition in person and after they all peform, the TLC goes in2 another room and talks about their performances and desides who they wanna bring down 2 Atlanta (TLC's homebase) 4 a final audition...after they hit up a bunch of other cities. The high points 2 me were actually just following the girls around. They go out 2 eat and they have fans giving them presents, they go shopping, and just act silly. The girls may have went thru' alot and gained alot of wisdom, but they are still the same girls when they entered the bizness. After they accept the gift from a fan, the look 2 the camera and say "this is exactly why we still are in this business." Then, when they are shopping in this huge mall, they start playing with a giant piano where u have 2 jump on the electronic keys 2 play it. Later, while Chilli is stocking up on toys 4 her son, T-Boz is riding around the toy store on a bike, and slams in2 one of the employees, who falls off the bike. Later, they are in a restaurant, and the waiter claims 2 be from Jamica. Chilli is like "i bet he is from New York and is using that fake accent...let's make up a city and see if he acts like he knows about it." T-Boz struggles 2 keep a straight face and Chilli is like "have you ever been to Teensytown?" and the waiter says "i have heard of it but i'm not familiar with it." Words can express how funny the candid moments, but if u like TLC, check out the show. It isn't what alot of people expected. And the girls that audition have got crazy skillz. So far i'm rooting for Meah. Not just cuz she's from Maryland (like myself), but becuz under her gorgous looks get your attention, but her attitude and talent is amazing. The show aires on UPN on Wednesdays at 8. They re-air it on Tuesdays.
  22. This is just another one of Eminem's gimmicks. His music is often boring and has little direction, which is totally different from his early work. Eminem is a big Hip-Hop fan, so he knows that his music, 4 the most part, just isn't good. None of the artists on he is affiliated with have any talent. D12, 50 Cent, G-Unit....all of them. They suck. Only high skool kids in middle americia actually think their music is good. Eminem knows that his music and the music he works behind the scenes on isn't any where near as good as the stuff he is a fan of. Ever since 2000, he's built his career on more and more gimmicks, which now out balence the skill he displays on his albums. I knew he wazn't retiring. But hopefully, he'll maybe change his game up 4 the better...and shun the garbage he helps put out.
  23. Yeah, "Party Starter" will get things back on track. It's just a waiting game. Either way, "Tell My Why" will take the album 2 new levels where "Party Starter" makes an impact or not. However, i don't think it could hurt 2 post a "Party Starter" snippet on Hip-Hop/Rap message boards and especially Ludacris related boards.
  24. I'm not surprised either. Considering there is no airplay, no video, no performances...NO NOTHING, it seems about right.
