  1. I'm one of the people who likes the previous style. But i'm just thankful that we have a place online 2 get 2gether.
  2. Just a reminder, SATURDAY is the last day it will be on sale at Target for $7.98. After that it'll be $13.99. Circuit City's regular price for it is $12.99. And 2 answer you ?uestion from our IM conversation. There is a Motown Unmixed album which is all the original versions of the trax on Motown Remixed. I saw it in stores 2day.
  3. Yeah, they had a HUGE hit in 1995 here in the US. It waz called "I Miss You" or "Missing You" or something. Great song. But after 1995, we didn't hear much from them. They dropped more albums, they just didn't have the same success here. I should have mine in the mail 2morrow or Monday. I really wanna get my hands on that OTHER remix. I found out about it myself a few days ago when i ordered my copy of the album.
  4. Hmmm...i see it as "Switch" on steriods. I see lots of colors and lots of lights. I see lots of Hip-Hop and Rap cameos. I see a crowd and some dancing. Just a huge house party for the 2005. Hopefully Jazzy Jeff pops up in the video. I think "Party Starter" is the perfect summer single 2 compete on the charts and take the album 2 the next level. After all those people start feeling FP again, like the BWS days, then it's time 2 hit 'em with "Tell Me Why" in the autumn. I think this track needs a remix. A new skool one featuring 2days commercial rap artists that don't suck. But i still think they need 2 do that old skool remix i mentioned a few months ago. A JJ+FP remix called "Party Starters" which is don't old skool house party style...Jazzy goin' crazy on the wheels.
  5. It's nice 2 know that there's a metal head out there that dosen't hate the whole Fresh Prince / Wicked Wisdom ties 2 Ozzfest. If they can be open minded 2 get involved, why can't those fans be open minded?!?
  6. Since when waz Wicked Wisdom considered a metal band?!? Anyways, i think that if ANYONE in Hip-Hop could ever make a heavy metal accepting crossover...it would be da Fresh Prince. I think metal heads would be all angry, then be like "hey, it's Jim West"...ha ha. Who truely hates "Will Smith." We'll see how this all pans out. The good newz is that it says he'll be with her on the road in November, which means his movie plans aren't gonna kick in as soon as we thought. Which means that if they drop another single soon and the album dose ever better, the L+F touring could continue.
  7. I don't really feel my sympathy from FP on the track. I think he made her out 2 be real. I still don't feel sorry 4 her. That kinda person chooses 2 act that way and act things out that way. I think it would akward if he felt real sympathy 4 her...beyond her mental issues. Greesy, i don't see how the song is "smooth"...ha ha. The subject matter and the vibe of the song actually have some tension 2 them...nothing's smooth and laidback about it in my opinion.
  8. It's kinda silly 2 get the 45's tho' since the 12" have the rare stuff.
  9. Man, can't anybody say who's on the cover of these magazines. I wanna pick 'em up. But i don't wanna stand in stores for 15 minutes flipping 2 see if the reviews are in there.
  10. INTO THE WOODS - THE BAKER - No More I just found out i got casted as the lead in the musical Into The Woods....so i'm tryna get these lyrics memorized by listening 2 the recording of a broadway cast.
  11. Ha...i just like 2 put the info out there 4 people. We all have different opinions so if it might be a risk picking up an album, i HIGHLY suggest peeping the music out in music stores or on the internet.
  12. I never said Lost + Found waz his best and i'm not saying it now. While Willennium had a track or 2 that waz outta place, i think it's his best solo album. One of his best albums EVER. Lost + Found is just a lil' bit better than Big Willie Style in my opinion.
  13. Wow, when u get that high, more stations start playing it even more. U think it'll hit number 1?!? That would be crazy!!
  14. They are rare...but not impossible 2 find. I have the 45 of "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble/Brand New Funk" and "Ring My Bell." I also have the 45 of Shaggy's "Hey Sexy Lady" which features the remix with Fresh Prince and Sean Paul.
  15. Lhunagar, i'd love 2 hear the studio version. But for future reference...where is it from? And Bigted, i popped in Like Water For Chocolate the other day...and i'm thinkin' i like Be better than that album!!
  16. I planned on getting his Greatest Hits album...but never did. Since i own 5 of his other albums i wasn't in a rush 2 get one with music i already have. His self-titled album waz his "come back" album. He had done really well, but that 1996 album rejuvinated his career in a big way. Still In The Game waz real good and did decent. The next is where sales started 2 slip. It's a shame the way established artists like him who stay making quaity music start slipping in the marketing area. I picked up his Rebirth album which waz good i honestly never listen 2 it. After i get thru' with all my new music, i'll have 2 pop it in.
  17. Yeah, it just came out this Tuesday in the US. I knew Da Brakes would either have the album or at least be interested in it. I don't know if i'd say this album is better than his 1st...but it's at least pretty close. I like the way this one has fewer uptemo joints. The production of the slow and mid-tempo trax always seem 2 be a step higher than the uptempo jams from TUG.
  18. That's why i think some old skool legends should get 2gether and form a label that specializes in Hip-Hop legends. That way those arists are properly promoted and have total control and their albums can come out whenever they wanna put them out. And since most Hip-Hop legends are very humble, down 2 earth people, there wouldn't be many egos and stuff like that. They would be so happy 2 get the deals they got that they would focus on making the best music ever since it would be so easy 4 them 2 put out product. And i bet after awhile, all their projects would do pretty well or at least have a good loyal following.
  19. Ahhh...it's always nice 2 say a Fresh Prince single is a Top 10 hit. I've waited for this newz for over 3 months!!
  20. 2PAC - Just Like Daddy After taking a long break from 2Pac's music (mostly becuz people like Eminem have destoryed the gems he created), i've been listening 2 him alot this past week. It's amazing how Ja-Rule and 50 Cent have tried 2 bite his style and they still come off as the biggest jokes in commerical rap.
  21. Oh, and i can't see why people would say Common Sense and Kanye West don't fit well 2gether. This kinda music is right up Common's ally. It's alot like his past stuff but for the 2-0-0-5. Like i said in my post, it's not like Kanye altered his style or sound. After 2002's Electric Circus, i think many of us were scared.
  22. I have followed Keith Sweat since the late 80's..and have all of his albums since the mid-90's. I can't wait 2 hear the new album. I gotta confess tho', i haven't listened 2 his albums in a big way since like 96/97. He's caught in a weird place where he waz blazing hot but since times have changed, he's not gettin support from radio and TV. He's also would do some trax that were a stretch 4 him. Either way, he always pumps out quality. I can't wait 2 hear something new.
