  1. "21 Questions" is 50's attempt at a love song. FP's song is about fans' acceptance of him. 2 totally different topics. Besides, we all know 50's motives. I do see the comparison of "Stan" and "Loretta" but i don't think FP waz stealing the idea from Eminem.
  2. I missed the 1st part of the interview. But i caught the 2nd part of it. FP waz dressed in a white shirt, dogtags, a tan jacket, dark blue jeans, and red boots. Leno asked him about how he got started. FP talked about JJ+FP being his 1st real group, but that he had other smaller groups b4 that. He talked about them meeting up in 1985. Leno asked him about when he 1st started performing and he said that since he waz active in the church as a kid, he considered his readings from the Bible in church Easter Sunday were his 1st performances. He then talked about Mandela's 46664 organization and how beautiful Africa is. Then, at the end of the show DJ Jazzy Jeff + The Fresh Prince took the stage. It opened up with JJ+FP on stage. Jazzy waz stage right, FP waz center. Jeff didn't really get any camera time, but he looked like he waz wearing a blue sweat shrit. FP waz wearing a black hat cocked 2 the side, a white short sleave shirt with "Switch" across the front, in black lettering, those dark jeans, and boots. Shortly after they started, about 8 backup dancers came out (2 guys, the rest girls) in jeans and casual tops. The crowd waz clapping along and every single one of them waz on their feet. After the 2nd verse, they went in a break down with just Jazzy scratching, FP and the dancers crowded the center of the stage. At that point, showgirls came out in colorful costumes, followed by drum section of a marching band wearing street gear. The stage waz FILLED with people. It waz crazy, the energy waz thru' the roof. FP jumped up on Leno's desk (afterall, there waz no room on the stage) and he waz beatboxing. The crowd waz goin' crazy. This may have been their best performance yet. TONS of eye candy. At the end of it, Leno came out and gave FP props, then headed straight 4 one of the showgirls, FP had 2 hold him back. Great performance!!
  3. Sorry 2 be a party pooper...but like banners with more current pix. "Oohhh, i'm the party pooper u might have a new banner but it's not that super" :kekeke: Sorry, don't mind me. Everytime i see it tho'...i'm thankful Jeff didn't have boogies when that pic waz taken.
  4. I think Beanie Sigel is so wack that i bought the import version of a Sisqo single so i could have the version of "Make It Hot" without Beanie wack flow on it.
  5. "Coming To The Stage" didn't sound like a N.E.R.D. song 2 me. When i listen 2 it again, i'll keep that in mind. By the way, Pharrell announced N.E.R.D. broke up like 2 or 3 days ago. The major label mess waz the reason. Him and Chad are still working at The Neptunes and hey are still cool with the other guy. I don't think "Could U Love Me" sounds like "21 Questions" at all. Mainly becuz FP's song is actually good. Listen 2 the songs lyrics tho'...they are 2 totally different songs.
  6. Thank u!! I waz hoping someone would put this up. Any chance the audio 2 106 + Park and The Today Show will be up?
  7. I waz thinkin' the same thing. I could totally see the Albert character in the music video...ha ha.
  8. Yeah, FP is always underestimated when it comes 2 lyrics. His mainstream success and comedy are often the reason, but he's always had lyrics that were no less than above average...but usually over the top dope. That's what makes him my favorite artists. U can have a good beat, but if u aren't speaking my language and talking about stuff i can relate 2, then i'll lose interest real quick.
  9. LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Heavy D, Common Sense, Talib Kweli, De La Soul, Nitty, Nick Cannon. I wouldn't mind hearing him do more work with MC Lyte, Slick Rick, or Biz Markie.
  10. I've never heard the track. I like alot of Royce's stuff that i have heard tho.' I'd like 2 hear this track.
  11. The entire album has grown on me. I think that trax that grew on my the most "Ms. Holyroller." At 1st i didn't know what 2 think of the track, it may be my least favorite, but i like it alot more now. The one that really has broken thru' 2 me is "If U Can't Dance (Slide)." The beat just got better and better, and the lyrics are just hilarious. I just got addicted 2 it...reminds me of stuff from Homebase (and this track is nothing like and updated version of "Dumb Dancin'" like some of u have said). And Jazzy Jeff scratches just bring the track home. I think the last few trax on the album all grew on me alot.
  12. It's all FP and it's all Hip-Hop. I would call it "mean" and relaxin"...more like "Agreessive" and "Chill." I want both sides, it would be boring 4 him 2 do just one thing. Over all, i think i like the chilled FP a bit more.
  13. Hey, that makes sense 2. Maybe that's what he means....i have no idea. :hilarious:
  14. I love JJ+FP. I think they have the best that Hip-Hop has 2 offer. They make music i can relate 2 that can make me laugh and make me think. I think that's all there is 2 it. No need 2 over do it and put it in words. I'm definitly not gonna be part of some JJ+FP religion...ha ha.
  15. I don't really care about sports at all, but i caught some of the game at this bar i waz at. Now i'm smelling like smoke and hating it.
  16. I've heard this track. It's pretty good...but other than that, i've really disliked anything else Beanie Sigel did. His music is just mad boring and really bad.
  17. Sisqo - I really like him. Dru Hill is an amazing group. They need 2 get a new album off the ground...and fast!! I like his 1st solo album. His 2nd is kinda weak, but it definitly has it's moments. Dennis Rodman - uhhhh...he's washed up. But the mid-late 90's were his as a b-ball player...and a freak. Chingy - I think i like 1 or 2 of his songs, but overall his music is crap.
  18. I gave them an 8. Not becuz of the quality of the beats...but becuz they are good beats 2 rhyme over and compliment the artist. All of the beats they did are good, tho' some stand out more than others. I think that if they were mixed differently they'd be even better. One thing that is cool about them is that even tho' they don't stand out in an incredible way, they are perfect him FP 2 spit over, and sound good without the production overtaking him. It's a low key kinda way 4 him 2 comeback...and 2 make u focus on the lyrics, which are the album's strongest part.
  19. Well, i only listen 2 music at the house or in my car...sounds good in both. I waz working out 2day 2 it in the crib, then i waz driving around in this beautiful Spring weather 2 it....with the windows down and the music loud...so the world can hear it.
  20. Yeah, like Goodman waz really gonna jump back in the music industry from his warehouse job. Looks like another bitter person from the past. Nobody but the people who were there are gonna know he waz talking about him...and they would have seen it all anyway.
  21. Yeah, Kanye's flow is usually less than steller. His lyrics are usually pretty good tho.' I think his strongest skill is his production. I've always liked the sped-up vocal samples in Hip-Hop...but he dose it 2 often. He definitly wasn't the person 2 start doing it...but he kinda made it his signature style. I think the perfect example of a good sped-up vocal sample is LL's "One Million Stars."
  22. I bought mine for only $3 when it waz on sale (and a few years old). I made the mistake of buying Maximum TLC brand new at full price. I waz so mad when i found out it waz so crappy. So when Maximum Will Smith came out, i waited. Maximum TLC waz a lil' better than Maximum Will Smith....so i felt cheated with Maximum WS cuz i waz expecting it 2 be just as crappy as Maximum TLC...but Maximum Will Smith introduced me 2 a new level of crappiness.
  23. I can't stand when people refur 2 him as Big Will...that's so annoying. I know he calls himself that sometimes...but it's so "Jiggy" 2 me. I like that recent review of Lost + Found where they said the "Big Will days are over."
  24. When it comes 2 people like FP and LL, critics like 2 rip them 2 shreds. They hold their current stuff the their stuff in the past. Since they've been around 4 so long, they expect a certain style or sound...when critics don't get it, they rip them apart. LL Cool J ain't never slipped...he just grew up. Listen 2 The DEFinition...at leat "1 In The Morning"...alot of people say that reminds them of old skool LL. Kanye West his highly overrated. He's good, but the fact that everyone else on the charts sucks so badly, it makes him look even better.
