Didn't we have the same source?! :kekeke:

This post is only kinda JJ+FP related, but interesting none the less. Smooth (for those of u who don't know) is a female emcee who also sings (much like Queen Latifah and Yo Yo). She signed 2 Jive in the early 90's and her debut album (1993) featured the hit "Female Mac." Her style is alot like JJ+FP, tasteful lyrics that man people can relate 2, not just gutter/street stuff. Her sound is radio-friendly but still straight Hip-Hop. She's best known more recently for her raps on Immatures "We Got It" and "What Me Do My Thing" (both hit singles). She had a big hit single in 1998 with "Strawberries" (offer her 1998 "Reality" album. She also popped up on Imx's "Old School Love" Young Rome's "Sexapade." She did some writing for B2K and is featured on a remix of "Gots Ta Be." She dropped a single last year called "Zoom" but it never got any support. Anyways, her self-titled 2nd album has a dope Summertime Hip-Hop track called "Jeeps 'N' Benzos." It's just dope...flawless mid-90's Hip-Hop with her rapping about the summertime, then smoothing it down with an R-N-B hook. In the hook, there is a slightly slowed down sample of FP from "Summertime" saying "Riding around in ya jeep or your benzos. Well, 2day i came across and even cooler JJ+FP sample she used. I got her "Love Groove" CD single from the UK, 1995. Anyways, track 4 is a remix of her single "It's Summertime (Let It Get Into U)" which, in it's own right, it a dope summertime anthem. The guys behind this remix are the same guys who have remixed "Twinkle Twinkle" and "Can't Wait To Be With You" along with some Aaliyah and R. Kelly stuff in the mid-90's. Most of their remix are good, but never over the top groundbreaking. Well, this one is very good. They not only heavily sampled JJ+FP's "Summertime" beat, they took the chants in the background and put them in her song. It's so ill. I'm thinkin' i'm gonna send both of these JJ+FP-sampling trax 2 Tim in 3 months or so (when Summertime starts), so that y'all can hear snippets of the trax. I just thought i'd share.

U got it. If someone posts a link 2 a leak...i will go 2 that persons house. Then i will kick them until they die.

Yeah, i refuse 2 listen 2 the album. I've heard the entire songs or snippets of Swich, Switch (R&B Remix), Switch (Remix) feat. Elephant Man (well, 6 seconds of it), Party Starter, Pump Ya Breaks, Mr. Nice Guy, and Tell Me Why. I refuse 2 hear anymore. I've only heard 2 of them the whole way thru'...i know that the snippets aren't gonna give me more than a taste of the full track...and i wanna keep it that way. Stay strong all of u out there who wanna wait. Here's my opinions i've gotten so far from what i've heard. SWITCH - a bangin' club track. SWITCH (R&B REMIX) - ultra smooth, laid-back take on the track. PUMP YA BREAKES - This is kinda like "Let's Get Busy Baby 2005." FP gives advice 2 young anxious cats. I like the sound, Jazzy's scratches, and Snoop is a surprising touch 2 the track. PARTY STARTER - i didn't know what 2 expect, and the 1st listen didn't impress me the way it impressed others. But i now love the track. TELL ME WHY - just a dope track. Young kids think Eminem is speaking 2 Hip-Hop America. Well, when they hear this, they'll realize all their hero are jokes. FP is the truth. MR. NICE GUY - Catchy, funny self-boasted track. Feelin' it. I've heard enuff. I don't need 2 hear the leak. I'm keeping it old skool and getting the album when it drops. I'm not letting the computer take away from the feeling u get when u bump and album. U can't bump and album on your computer. :hilarious:

Man, i think we might need 2 register at these other Hip-Hop/Rap boards and take 'em over. I don't free time 4 that, but i really support my man FP. If others are hyped, we need 2 try and get them 2 buy the album. Rap fans are the hardest critics in the world. Mostly cuz they think they know everything. They make opinions without hearing a single verse from an artist. For people 2 say some of the things they are already saying, that's an accomplishment in itself. This album can do big things...we can help it in ways no one else can.

Yeah, i heard from an inside source that FP drops the F-bomb on "Tell Me Why" back in 2003. I expected him 2 re-write the line 4 the official release. I'm surprised FP is gonna leave the F-bomb in there. Since he's such a kid-friendly artist, i wonder if there will be 2 versions of the album where 1 has a note saying "Tell Me Why" contains explict lyrics. I guess we'll find out. Even tho' i know FP is using it 2 add 2 the song, i still don't like the idea of him saying it.

SMOOTH - Love Groove (UK Flavour Remix)

Man, i STILL haven't gotten Wyclef's latest album (i have all the others). Pras' solo stuff waz kinda weak, but all their other stuff is good to great. Their solo stuff is in no way comparable 2 the chemistry they have 2gether.

Nice, simple review. Answers some ?uestions, but will still keep us who don't wanna hear the leak guessing what's 2 come. Thanx 4 the shout Frenetic!! I can't wait 2 hear "I Wish I Made That" now!!
-
Shame Shame!! Ha ha...it's cool tho' cuz i'm asking u ?uestions about the album right now on AIM. But i'm definitly not gonna listen 2 the leaks. I think we need 2 do everything we can from helping people find the downloads cuz there's alot of lurkers that will not buy the album. Snippets 4 promotion are a good idea, but that's it.

SWITCH - Kwame SWITCH (Remix feat. Elephant Man) - sound like Kwame just re-worked the beat SWITCH (R&B Remix) - i'm thinkin' Robin Ticke produced it since he's on it. It's smooth like the only other song i've heard by him PARTY STARTER - Ludacris HERE HE COMES - DJ Jazzy Jeff PUMP YA BREAKES - ? DJ Jazzy Jeff is scratching on it...making it a 50/50 chance he produced it...dosen't sound like his stuff tho.' There's rumors that Kanye West and Timbaland did work on the album.
-
I'm thinkin' the song will be huge. While i don't think it'll have any comparisons with "Summertime"...i think that like "Summertime," the track will be so ill that nobody will be able 2 say anything bad about it, even if they are haters.

FP should pull and Eminem/50 Cent and drop the album early. Can u give us a link 2 the feedback at AllHipHop?
-
Wow! They need 2 get busy on that reunion. I love seeing them work things out cuz they truely are what Hip-Hop needs. Besides, their solo careers are making them look like relics.

Monday singles sweep In their review of 50 Cent's new album, The Guardian asked, "He can't rap, he can't write, he can't even insult people... what use is 50 Cent?" DUDES! That's like, so scathing! Because everyone who's heard Fiddy's new single, 'Candy Shop', knows that 50 Cent is really useful for at least one thing - ****ing! Seriously, viewers, this guy just amazing at having sex. He's just unstoppable! (Although of course if you were a lady and you were having sex with 50 and you asked him to stop, he would do just that. There's nothing remotely rapey about this guy!) In the wholly impartial 'Candy Shop', Fiddy employs various 'metaphors' to explain how brilliant he is at ****ing. For example! "I take you to the candy shop, I'll let you lick the lollypop." Trans: "Ooh my penis is quite big, you can suck it." "One taste of what I got, I'll have you spending all you got." Trans: "My sperm tastes nice." "You can have it your way, how do you want it?" Trans: "I am versatile in my ability to **** people. I know lots of different ways. There's missionary, for a start. And the other one. Seriously, there are as many as several positions in which I can - and have - ****ed women." "You gon' back that thing up or should I push up on it?" Trans: "Are you going to move your vagina towards my penis, or should I move my penis towards your vagina?" (nb: This may seem as if 50 Cent is not masterful in bed, but it in fact simply goes to showcase he versatility as a sex-maker - see above!) "If you be a nympho, I'll be a nympho." Trans: "My rhymes are almost as innovative as my lovemaking." "Got the magic stick, I'm the love doctor." Trans: "I've got a penis." "And we gon' sip til every bubble in the bottle is gone." Trans: "We are, or rather 'you are', going to suck my penis until all the sperm has come out of it, which will no doubt take ages because a) My cock is really big, and b) I have lots of sperm in me. Seriously, you could go whitewater rafting in my scrotum." "I'm a seasoned vet when it come to this ****" Trans: "I know how to charm a lady." "After you work up a sweat you can play with the stick." Trans: "I've still got a penis." "Isn't it ironic how erotic it is to watch em in thongs?" Trans: "I don't really understand words very well." The saddest thing about 'Candy Shop' is the line "I melt in your mouth girl, not in your hands". If it was anybody else you'd applaud their clever M&M gag; in 50 Cent's case you know you're dealing with the world's most thick and mundane rapper, and that he hardly even realises why the line's funny, and it's all a bit sad really.

SPICE GIRLS - Generation Next Yeah, there comes a time in everyone's life when they need a lil' spice in their life. My girl Marivien requested them.

No way!! Those guys are considered the best lyristists 4 all the right reasons. Sometimes producers and people u collaborate toss in some input...it's called creating. But those guys don't use ghostwriters or co-writers. Check their style, while it evolved, it has always been all them. People on the internet make stuff up all the time. All it takes is one person 2 make up something like "KRS-One has ghostwriters" on a message board or chat room...and some fools spread that stuff. Next thing u know, it's all over the place.

U can try it...let us know how u do...and how many times u pee the bed. -
What does he mean when he says "Is it"...I've been reading that over and over, I still don't get it. Is it what? :confused3: "I gave in after one track" After hearing one song, he thought it waz so awful that he didn't feel that the album waz even worth an honest listen. "Is it or is the guy really without talent" Who talkes like that?!?! FP dosen't talk like that. But they are just rephrasing "Is it me, or is this guy without talent." He's ?uestioning if he is the only person who thinks that 50 Cent has no talent. I really don't think this is true, only becuz the comments sound like a 12 year old made them up. The grammer and mistakes in the quotes don't help either.

Ha, that is ill!! The intro is hilarious...i love it. Lyrically, it's exactly what i expected. Musically, i like it, but sounds similar 2 "Party Starter" and "Pump Ya Breaks"...which is cool...but i want some soul from my man FP. Afro Angel/No More/The Rain type Hip-Hop soul...WHERE'S IT AT?!? I love that when he mentions Eminem, he kinda raps like him....that waz great. -
Ugh...who actually think Lil' Kim looks good?!?! Sure, she started taking care of her body better...but then she those fake boobs and all that plastic surgery on her face. She waz ugly in the mid-90's...but she's just as ugly now. The prettiest female emcees don't have 2 dress all nasty 2 be gorgous. Left Eye waz the most beautiful in my opinion. Da Brat can look pretty good in a very hood kinda way. Eve has blossomed over the years. Salt-N-Pepa and TLC definitly started making female Hip-Hop more feminin in the 90's. But Lil' Kim and Trina are just nasty, tasteless girls selling sex. I think he 1st really slutty girl group waz H.W.A. (Hoes With Attitude) on Eazy-E's Ruthless Records back in the early 90's. Those girls were U-G-L-Y. One of them could have been fixed up a lil' bit and look cute, but over all, they looked like they spent their early years chasing parked cars.

Help Promote Album HERE!
JumpinJack AJ replied to JusticeKnight's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Man, i used 2 do stuff like that all the time. If i find time, i'll definitly be street teaming as much as i can. -
The difference between that other article waz that they took quotes, then twisted the story around them 2 sound like he waz talking about something else. If this quote is 4 real, there's no misinterperting...cuz u can't change that quote around 2 mean anything else. I'm ?uestioning the credibility of this news tho.' I don't see why FP would say that. It's one thing if it waz part of an interview, which would also be posted...but it's just a comment that dosen't seem like something he would say. I'd love 2 know if he really said this...cuz i'd agree.
-
Exactly. If i didn't have the internet and visit this site...like any person who isn't a huge fan, i'd only know about "Switch" from when he dropped it on 106 + Park. Other than that, there is no sign of it from on a non-internet basis. No hype, no real promotion.

VH-1 has been re-running these lately. Just so u know.
