  1. I think 2003's "She's A Queen" is a better repersentation of her music career (tho' it is missing a few hits). However, at this sale price, i'd definitly pick this one up. It gives u taste of each of her albums...not 2 mention the remix of "U.N.I.T.Y." From there there u can deside if u wanna check more out from her. I agree that Black Reign is her best album...and this greatest hits CD features 4 trax and a remix from it.
  2. It's the way albums are done. Not many albums are recorded in their entirety with no material not left over. Some tracks don't make it cuz they are weaker than the others...some don't make it cuz of political reasons...some don't make it just becuz they don't blend with the whole album. FP has always joked about not letting people hear his "weak stuff." I wouldn't want his legacy 2 be tarnished by an album full of his stuff that didn't make the albums. The only way i think that would be okay is if he sold it independently under the table. If an album like that was being released commercially, that would be be a really stupid idea. I'm sure some of that stuff could pop up on singles or soundtracks tho.'
  3. Wendy Williams has been popular since the early 90's. Mostly becuz her entire career is based off trash-talking. She basically spreads all the rumors she can. She makes fun of some celebrities, which is actually kinda funny sometimes, but she seems 2 be nicer 2 celebrities when they do interviews with her and give her attention. I doubt FP has done interviews with her, which means he's up 4 game 2 be talked about by her. Sometimes she isn't so bad, u just gotta know how she plays the game. However, i definitly think it's cool that he called her out on the track. She needs 2 be knocked in her place by Hip-Hop's Mr. Nice Guy. Every few weeks u can see what Wendy Williams is all about on her VH-1 show. She's had other guests like Wyclef and Flavor Flav on her show.
  4. He may have did a track with Justin Timberlake that just didn't make the album. I don't think Robin Thicke is supposed 2 be a Justin fill-in. I don't see Justin fitting in on the "Switch" remix the way Robin dose. Robin Thicke isn't popular in the US at all...i think that if he waz trying 2 replace Justin Timberlake, he would have used a big name in music. From what i've heard from Robin Thicke, his style is totally different from Justin Timberlake...and i wanna check more of his stuff out. The "Switch" remix might be the way his career jumps off here in the US.
  5. No certain country gets more trax than the other. Well, Japan maybe. They get stuff that most of us don't even know exists. It's all in the marketing. The artists themselves rarely have anything 2 do with it. It's the record labels that deside that kinda stuff usually.
  6. Hasn't FP said he's already gonna release "Tell Me Why" next?
  7. Nobody killed Eminem but himself. He chose 2 make music that sucked....which didn't used 2 suck.
  8. QUEEN LATIFAH - Just Another Day... One of the best Hip-Hop trax of all time.
  9. I just wanted 2 give u guys a heads up. Queen Latifah's "The Best of...: The Millennium Collection (20th Century Masters) CD just dropped. Circuit City has it on sale for $6.99 this week (last day of sale is Saturday). Here's the tracklisting... 1. Wrath of My Madness (All Hail The Queen) 2. Rough w/ Heavy D, Treach, KRS-One (Edited SIngle Version) (Black Reign) 3. U.N.I.T.Y. (Clean Version) **this is a dope remix not on the album!!** (Black Reign) 4. Just Another Day... (Edited Version) (Black Reign) 5. Black On Black Love w/ Next (Order In The Court) 6. Latifah's Had It Up To Here (Nature of A Sista) 7. Black Hand Side (Black Reign) 8. Paper (Order In The Court) 9. It's Alright (Order In The Court / Nothing To Lose Soundtrack) 10. Weekend Love (Black Reign) For those of u love Latifah and don't have her albums, this is a steal at $6.99!!
  10. Stay tuned...i'll be sending this trax 2 Tim in May or June. I'll tell him 2 put up a snippet of "Jeeps 'N' Benzos"...if y'all like it, u can dig up her album. Since that remix of "Summertime (Let It Get Into You)" isn't on her album, i'll probably give him the full track 2 put up.
  11. I'm not downloading the album. I'm not hearing any more album trax until the moment i pop the CD in my car stereo.
  12. I don't think there's anything wrong with posting the lyrics. Lyrics are one of those things where u can chose 2 read them ahead of time or chose not 2. That's up 2 y'all tho.' I thought about getting my hands on my track 2 do the lyrics early, but i desided 2 wait til i get the album.
  13. That radio personality is an idiot. The way he talked about Jeff made me wanna slap the crap outta him. I wonder if FP felt the same. U could tell he waz just trying 2 insult Jeff. For the record, that idiot isn't a Hip-Hop/R-N-B radio personality. He's a Top 40 radio personality, which means his job is 2 be so annoying that u pray u never see him on the street, cuz it would take everything in u 2 run him over with a car.
  14. Yeah, album leaks are very common now. I don't download music so i don't look 4 them, but i remember with Born To Reign, i listened 2 the 1st track, but that waz it. At that poing, we only heard "Black Suits Comin," the remix, and a short clip of "1,000 Kisses."
  15. There, there's a few mistakes on there. Homebase dose have a remix of "Ring My Bell" on it. They re-released the album with that remix after they did the video (since they used Mr. Lee's Remix in it). The Born To Reign bit, where it says "Listen" is becuz they cut and pasted it off a website that had snippets of the track, and u could click on to "listen" 2 hear some of the track....they 4got 2 delete that part off. :kekeke:
  16. It only takes one person 2 leak something. The label probably sent out some promotional copies 2 start some hype, and one of the people who received a copy put it out for some people 2 hear, and it got around more and more. I own a very rare song...well, basically nobody owns this one song i have (don't worry, it's not JJ+FP). I shared it with 2 people with the understanding they couldn't share it with anyone. One of those people betrayed me and now 100s of people have heard a song that i own. So i've seen how it works. And once it's out, u can never get it back 2 yourself. That's a reason why i hate people who illegally download music. Becuz they think they are fans by downloading a song and liking. But they are really just fools who betray the artists, and cheat the people who deserve 2 be paid 4 what they do.
  17. Didn't we have the same source?! :kekeke:
  18. This post is only kinda JJ+FP related, but interesting none the less. Smooth (for those of u who don't know) is a female emcee who also sings (much like Queen Latifah and Yo Yo). She signed 2 Jive in the early 90's and her debut album (1993) featured the hit "Female Mac." Her style is alot like JJ+FP, tasteful lyrics that man people can relate 2, not just gutter/street stuff. Her sound is radio-friendly but still straight Hip-Hop. She's best known more recently for her raps on Immatures "We Got It" and "What Me Do My Thing" (both hit singles). She had a big hit single in 1998 with "Strawberries" (offer her 1998 "Reality" album. She also popped up on Imx's "Old School Love" Young Rome's "Sexapade." She did some writing for B2K and is featured on a remix of "Gots Ta Be." She dropped a single last year called "Zoom" but it never got any support. Anyways, her self-titled 2nd album has a dope Summertime Hip-Hop track called "Jeeps 'N' Benzos." It's just dope...flawless mid-90's Hip-Hop with her rapping about the summertime, then smoothing it down with an R-N-B hook. In the hook, there is a slightly slowed down sample of FP from "Summertime" saying "Riding around in ya jeep or your benzos. Well, 2day i came across and even cooler JJ+FP sample she used. I got her "Love Groove" CD single from the UK, 1995. Anyways, track 4 is a remix of her single "It's Summertime (Let It Get Into U)" which, in it's own right, it a dope summertime anthem. The guys behind this remix are the same guys who have remixed "Twinkle Twinkle" and "Can't Wait To Be With You" along with some Aaliyah and R. Kelly stuff in the mid-90's. Most of their remix are good, but never over the top groundbreaking. Well, this one is very good. They not only heavily sampled JJ+FP's "Summertime" beat, they took the chants in the background and put them in her song. It's so ill. I'm thinkin' i'm gonna send both of these JJ+FP-sampling trax 2 Tim in 3 months or so (when Summertime starts), so that y'all can hear snippets of the trax. I just thought i'd share.
  19. U got it. If someone posts a link 2 a leak...i will go 2 that persons house. Then i will kick them until they die.
  20. Yeah, i refuse 2 listen 2 the album. I've heard the entire songs or snippets of Swich, Switch (R&B Remix), Switch (Remix) feat. Elephant Man (well, 6 seconds of it), Party Starter, Pump Ya Breaks, Mr. Nice Guy, and Tell Me Why. I refuse 2 hear anymore. I've only heard 2 of them the whole way thru'...i know that the snippets aren't gonna give me more than a taste of the full track...and i wanna keep it that way. Stay strong all of u out there who wanna wait. Here's my opinions i've gotten so far from what i've heard. SWITCH - a bangin' club track. SWITCH (R&B REMIX) - ultra smooth, laid-back take on the track. PUMP YA BREAKES - This is kinda like "Let's Get Busy Baby 2005." FP gives advice 2 young anxious cats. I like the sound, Jazzy's scratches, and Snoop is a surprising touch 2 the track. PARTY STARTER - i didn't know what 2 expect, and the 1st listen didn't impress me the way it impressed others. But i now love the track. TELL ME WHY - just a dope track. Young kids think Eminem is speaking 2 Hip-Hop America. Well, when they hear this, they'll realize all their hero are jokes. FP is the truth. MR. NICE GUY - Catchy, funny self-boasted track. Feelin' it. I've heard enuff. I don't need 2 hear the leak. I'm keeping it old skool and getting the album when it drops. I'm not letting the computer take away from the feeling u get when u bump and album. U can't bump and album on your computer. :hilarious:
  21. Man, i think we might need 2 register at these other Hip-Hop/Rap boards and take 'em over. I don't free time 4 that, but i really support my man FP. If others are hyped, we need 2 try and get them 2 buy the album. Rap fans are the hardest critics in the world. Mostly cuz they think they know everything. They make opinions without hearing a single verse from an artist. For people 2 say some of the things they are already saying, that's an accomplishment in itself. This album can do big things...we can help it in ways no one else can.
  22. Yeah, i heard from an inside source that FP drops the F-bomb on "Tell Me Why" back in 2003. I expected him 2 re-write the line 4 the official release. I'm surprised FP is gonna leave the F-bomb in there. Since he's such a kid-friendly artist, i wonder if there will be 2 versions of the album where 1 has a note saying "Tell Me Why" contains explict lyrics. I guess we'll find out. Even tho' i know FP is using it 2 add 2 the song, i still don't like the idea of him saying it.
