Whatever happened 2 just being careful. It's not that hard 2 hold a CD by the edges. I hardly take any of my CDs out of my room...espeically the JJ+FP stuff. I make burned copies of their albums 4 my car (and toss on some remixes from that album at the end).

MELLO-D + THE RADEOS - Cool Wit'chu I'm not totally sure if i got the name and title right, but i just heard this song on RapCity. This track is ILL!! The best true-skool Hip-Hop i've heard in awhile. Reminds me of early 90's/mid-90's Hip-Hop.

maybe new info on Eminem track?
JumpinJack AJ replied to *mimi*'s topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
This is just more tabloid mess 2 me. That site/article has no real credibility. FP simply isn't gonna sell out his style 4 one song. And when did "Mr. Nice Guy" turn in 2 the "Eminem track." I won't believe any of this til i see it with my own ears. (and yes, i typed it that way 2 amuse myself) :cwm: -
I'm thinkin' that my favorite trax on the album will be ones that we havn't heard so far. Party Starter and Pump Ya Breaks are good and all, but i'm thinkin' FP has something better up his sleeve...and i'll answer this after i hear the album.

Premiere Magazine - 50 Greatest Actors Of All-Time
JumpinJack AJ replied to MissAshley's topic in Will Smith Movies
I don't really follow actors. I don't even know of half of the people on that list. It's good 2 see him there tho.' -
Here's 2 sites that claim 2 have MP3 of the album...tho' i haven't tried listening 2 them. http://www.mp3.com/albums/661996/summary.html http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/arti...47190%2C00.html Here's a site that has a few sum-up of reviews on the album. http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Player%27s%20P...HNsawNtdXNpYw-- Songs that i recommend 2 give a listen are... ABC - Hip-Hop cyber funk vibe. LIKE THAT - Slick Hip-Hop mainstream stuff SORRY - don't ask ?uestions...just check this one out HEY GIRL - basic Hip-Hop joint If u don't feel him, it's all good...i just think some people here would feel the carefree style he's bringing.

Like i said, about half of the album is party trax. While all the trax are ready 4 the mainstream, his 2 singles are very radio-friendly. Don't let that discourage u. "Hey Bitty" is the weakest track on the album. I guess they are releasing it since Man Of The House uses it in the movie. I'm just happy 2 see another clean cut brotha with actual skillz releasing music. This is music that real people can relate 2. Not like that G-Unit rubbish. Listening 2 music like this makes me feel that magic that Hip-Hop/Rap records use 2 make me feel back in the day. It's feel good music 4 the Hip-Hop head. Here's a message he has in the CD insert... --- FINAL THOUGHTS: In our lives we have many choices that mold and shape the pathways to our destiny. One event can change our entire future, whether it is positive or negative. Only we have the power to make these situations come true. We are responsible for who we are and the things we do. Society cannot dictate to us who we are, what we represent, or what we will turn out to be. The ansewr lies in us!! (And it always will.) In closing, I didicate this album to those who love themselves enough to take a chance in this world to be who they set out to be. To those who aren't afraid to go against the grain and fight for what's right to them and not settle for what others condition us to believe. I'm different because i choose to be. Because that's what i set out to be and that is what i will always be. My future is mine. I know exactly where i want to go. I hope to see you there. Peace... Nitty --- That being said, u know what this guy is all about. When's the last time u saw an emcee put something uplifting in their CD insert? I'll see if i can find any other snippets on the internet, cuz i don't want people 2 write him off just becuz of those singles (even tho' i love "Nasty Girl.")

And there is the Brady Bunch voice overs on "Break It Down."

Official Lost and Found Countdown
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I swear, this post is gonna make the wait feel 100 times longer. :nono: -
Well, that's the way fashion evolves. Lots of colors were just popular back then. I'm still partly stuck in that era myself. I like 2 stand out so i alot of my gear is bold and bright. JJ+FP still love bright colors (especially FP). Check some of the pictures they've done in recent years. I remember seeing a pic of JJ+FP from over the summer where Jeff is rockin' a bright green shirt. I think their are still pix on his site from summer 2003 where he's rockin' a white hat with a bright red shirt. Born To Reign promo pix have FP sporting the bright red "Big Will" jersey. Lots of Big Willie Style appearances pix have FP with bright colors. The bright colors in fashion were BIG in the early 90's...they died out, kinda came back in the late 90's...but that's the way fashsion is. Since JJ+FP don't put on this fake images, they haven't abandoned color. When u look at 50 Cent, Ja-Rule, and other rappers who put on fake, hardcore images, they tend 2 stick 2 black cloths. JJ+FP, LL, Nick Cannon, Nitty, Comon Sense, Queen Latifah, the kinda artists who don't put on fronts aren't scared 2 embrace color. Colors can totally represent personality. Lack of colors in gear are usually sported by people with 1 dementional personalities....people with lots of personality tend 2 embrace color. We all know JJ+FP has tons of personality...ha ha.

I breifly checked his website. U can see his Bio and read news about him. In his bio, they mention DJ Jazzy Jeff + Fresh Prince as a main influence (along with Heavy D and Young MC). Later in it they compare him 2 LL Cool J. In the media section u can hear is 1st single "Nasty Girl." U can also hear his new single "Hey Bitty." Both of these are party flava'd trax so u only get one side of him, but it's a decent 1st taste.

Yo, i been waiting 4 this album 2 drop from just one track since October. I waz in a music store and realized that album just dropped last Tuesday. Since we all have different tastes, i can guess who will be feelin' Nitty, but we all love the Fresh Prince, which makes me say that EVERYONE here should check this fella out. His album is called Player's Paradise and his lyrics are totally clean, yet not squeaky clean kids' stuff (just like FP and LL). The beats are mainstream ready Hip-Hop and his stuff is always tastefull. The production is consistently good the whole way thru' the album and there are no big names behind it. Just talented people who love Hip-Hop. Nitty's big single is "Nasty Girl" which is an upbeat, fun party joint which borrows from The Archies' "Sugar Sugar." The album has half upbeat, party trax, the other half is a bit more down 2 earth. I'm not gonna review the whole album (at least not now), but i will tell y'all 2 peep the track "Sorry." It's amazing!! It samples Michael Jackson/Jackson 5's "I Wanna Be Where You Are." He raps 2 a past love wishing she waz by his side, but since he waz young and dumb, he messed up. Most of the lyrics are party oriented or directed at ladies and love. Personally, i've been waiting 4 an album like this for years. Walmart has it for $12.88 and Circuit City has it for $12.99. I haven't checked his website out since it didn't have much on it, but here it is...maybe there's some snippets on it. www.NittyOnline.com

I just picked up Usher's new DVD "Rhythem City: Volume One - Caught Up." U've probably have seen the short film that features a storyline based around the songs Caught Up, Red Light, Seduction, and Take You Hand. That's the main feature, along with his other Confessions videos (Yeah, Burn, Confessions Pt. II, My Boo, Caught Up). If u are an Usher fan, this is a must. However, my main reason 4 getting this waz for the bonus CD. It's features 4 new trax!! Here's a review... DOT COM This song is a super sexy, ultra slow song. It's creative and kinda silly. It mixes computer/technology as nasty/freaky metaphor. I waz with my friend when i bought this and i popped it in the CD player. I'm tellin' u, she melted in the passenger seat. I waz good tho'...i stayed on the driver's side with the seat belt on. Robin Thicke co-wrote and produced the song as well as helped out on the background vocals. DON' THE MOST This a sweet love song. The music is beautiful. Usher...well, most of u agree that he's got skillz...so there's nothing lacking on this song. Just a great love song. Jimmy Jam + Terry Lewis produced this one. IT IS WHAT IT IS This is a retro-feeling uptempo track. He's talking 2 a girl about how he has mixed feelings 4 her. I've only heard it once or twice so i'm not confident on the storyline. But one of them messed up or they both did and they are at a place where they need 2 find out if it's over or not. Another Jam + Lewis joint. WHAT YOU NEED This is an unlisted bonus track. It's produced by Jermaine Dupri, but u'd never guess by the sound (even tho' there are extreemly turned down adlibs from him in the back). This is a chunky, funky, upbeat joint. Kinda pimpish...Usher's tryna woo a lady in this one. For the other Usher fans, this is another must-have. I've grown up with his stuff and he's been bringing music 4 us young males in a way not many other artists are. The quality of his stuff is always consitent...somewhere between 'good' and 'dope' everytime.

Yeah, i live my life day 2 day as a happy person, careless of the things that could go wrong, but u gotta have those street smarts 2 back u up 2 kick in when necessary. U never know when it's your time 2 go, and i don't think u should dwell on that, but i think it's important 2 be ready 4 whatever.
-
Be a decent humanbeing....BUY THE ALBUM!! That track is dope. I used 2 think the song waz hilarious...only becuz i grew up 2 releate 2 it. :kekeke:
-
Those are great!! I waz gonna say they are from 1992, but they are from 1993. Notice the Janet Jackson "janet." picture in the back of the last one. That jacket that FP is holding in the 1st one is my fav. He's worn in photo shoots from 91/92.

fresh prince is selling well
JumpinJack AJ replied to sonic1988's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
What all this being ranked on that chart tho'? TV shows probably don't sell that much. Movies probably always beat out TV shows on DVD. It's probably doing what it's supposed 2 be doing. -
50 CENT - I Like When Dogs Dry Hump My Leg (Get Me A Towel Remix) Skillz people! SKILLZ!!
-
50 Cent is the most uncreative person 2 record a rap record. His gimmicks are just watered down versions of stuff that 2Pac did, which were altered and later copied by Eminem. Then u have all this set up beefs and stuff. Everything he's done, including his lyrics and beats have been done 100 times. The difference is, after it's done so many times, there's is nothing left 2 what the original idea waz. He's just recycling everything he can in hopes 2 get sales. He's straight up said in interviews that he's all about making money and selling records. That's all good and fair, but not when u have no respect 4 Hip-Hop or it's listeners, it's just discusting. He's not Hip-Hop at all. Let me say this in advance... :ali: lambert, SHUT UP!! :chuks:

Earlier 2day, AOL featured an updated article. They caught the guy, he's in police custody. He came up 2 some girl who waz entering her house and he said that she had 2 let him in and let him stay there or he'd kill her. He either let her out of the house or somehow got away and called 911. Cops and a SWAT team surrounded her house, and after he saw what waz happening on the news, he surrendered. I read the news when it 1st happened. That guy is a psycopath.
-
Lerkot, no offense...but based on that last remix, your friend has absolutely no skillz. :kekeke: I'm not even gonna bother checkin' it out.
-
No doubt. I think he is honestly the worse commercial rap has 2 offer. When i hear Ja-Rule's "New York" and "Wonderful" on the radio, i don't always turn them off, the don't bug me as much as some of his other stuff. I immediatly turn 50's stuff off. At least Ja got some decent beats this time around. Nelly's "My Place" dosen't bug me so much either. Maybe it's cuz their music is slightly better than their past stuff...maybe it's cuz The Game's and 50 Cent's music is so bad that it makes the others look good by comparison.

:hilarious: Sorry, i read this last nite and it waz funnier...but it waz even funnier the 2nd time around. :hilarious:
