  1. :hilarious: Sorry, i read this last nite and it waz funnier...but it waz even funnier the 2nd time around. :hilarious:
  2. I'll keep the family in my prayers. Seems like alot of people are going thru' some kinda drama right now.
  3. Is this the same one posted a few days ago where they just put the "Girl's..." freestyle over that instrumental and u can hear both beats? If it is the same, i'm warning everyone 2 NOT check it out. U'll be sad u wasted your time giving it a listen. I just sounds like u have 2 stereos playing 2 different songs at 2 different tempos in the same room.
  4. Well, it says the LAPD investigation is still open, but i doubt they are trying hard. Especially if LAPD could be involved.
  5. Ummmm...HI. What is your deal?! We don't really talk like that here. Intellegence is requied 2 become a regular here.
  6. Is it just me, or did they even "open" the case?? Anyways, here's the article. --------------- FBI Ends Investigation Into Notorious B.I.G. Murder 03.11.2005 11:38 AM EST Bureau gives up on theory that rogue police officer and Suge Knight plotted killing; LAPD investigation remains open. The FBI has abandoned a controversial 18-month investigation into the 1997 murder of the Notorious B.I.G. that focused on whether Los Angeles police officer and Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight may have plotted the killing, according to a Los Angeles Times report. The investigation was shut down in January, not long after the FBI discovered that the lead agent on the case, Philip J. Carson, had met with the lawyers for B.I.G.'s mother, Voletta Wallace, and that he'd been subpoenaed to testify in her wrongful-death lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles (see " Notorious B.I.G. Wrongful-Death Suit Can Go To Trial, Judge Rules"). That case — which goes to trial on April 12 — accuses the LAPD of covering up police involvement in B.I.G.'s murder, which took place on March 9, 1997 after a music industry party at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Carson was ordered not to have any more contact with Wallace's lawyers, who were informed that he would not be testifying in their case, according to the Times report. The bureau expressed concern that Carson may have been unduly influenced by Wallace's attorneys, but denied that he shared any information with them. Carson's investigation was shut down because it was determined that "there was no basis for prosecution," according to Louis J. Caprino Jr., acting head of the criminal division of the FBI's Los Angeles field office. Caprino denied that the agent's meetings with Wallace's lawyers factored into the decision and said the agent was not found to have acted improperly. Wallace's lawyer, Perry Sanders, cited an unidentified source in arguing that the LAPD pressured the FBI to shut down the case, a claim the agency denies, according to the Times (see "FBI Joins Investigation Into The Murder Of Notorious B.I.G."). The LAPD's investigation into the murder remains open, according to an officer reached Friday (March 11) in the department's homicide division. Theories on Biggie's killing have ranged from a connection to the East Coast-West Coast beef that also took the life of Tupac, to a 1998 theory pursued by the LAPD that a rogue former cop, David A. Mack, was somehow involved in the murder (see "Ex-Police Officer Suspected In Notorious B.I.G. Shooting"). Former LAPD detective Russell Poole's theory that Mack had planned the murder at the request of his friend, Amir Muhammad, sparked the interest of the FBI's Carson after the federal agent saw Poole discuss the case on a 2003 TV special. Reportedly acting on the suggestions of Wallace family attorneys, Carson contacted Poole and interviewed other detectives and witnesses in the case. Carson arranged new interviews with Poole and Mack — who alleges that the FBI agent offered to help reduce his 14-year bank robbery sentence if he cooperated, an allegation the FBI denies — and conducted surveillance on Muhammad, but the investigation turned up no new evidence, according to the Times. — Gil Kaufman
  7. I waz on MTV.com and came across this page of fans reacting 2 the news that they aren't beefing. It's obvious that some of these people are idiots and the others know what they are talking about. Just thought i'd post. If u go 2 the page yourself, there is a picture of those 2 ugly guys standing side by side looking at the camera like they are all hard and stuff. --- 50 & Game: The Truce Updated Thursday, March 10, 2005 4:30 P.M. (ET) This is so monumental. It's like 50 and Game heard the silent cries of their fans to end the beef and responded in a huge way (see "50 Cent And The Game Call A Truce"). I view them as true hip-hop legends and they get all of my respect. It takes a real man to not only admit a mistake, but to do everything in his power to rectify it (see "50 Drops Game From G-Unit; Shots Fired At Radio Station"). This is something that everyone can look back on and say, "If they could end their beef, so can I." It will definitely have people thinking twice about their own petty differences. My hats go off to both rappers for taking such a tremendous step toward keeping hip-hop great. Crystal, 28 Lanham, MD It's nice that Game and 50 Cent are calling a truce, but what does that really mean, other than more publicity for 50 Cent? They're not fooling me. They still don't like each other, and I doubt that Game is going back to G-Unit. How could he when they went behind his back and straight to radio with their issues? It's more air time for the both of them, but none of their issues are resolved. Diahna, 19 Fort Washington, MD This sounds like too much of a publicity stunt to be real at this point. 50 Cent's schedule is right on target. Gain momentum for the album with the Game beef. Go platinum. Squash the beef. Right in time for dis records from Jadakiss (see "Jadakiss Jacks 50's Beat To Retaliate For 'Piggy Bank' "), Fat Joe and Nas to come out and give it more advertising. 50 Cent is a good businessman, and this battle is like a match for the WWE. Chuck, 23 Miami, FL It's fortunate that the 50 Cent/ Game situation ended with a truce and not violence. Both men are talents that the rap industry needs right now because everything else is stale. I hope they can at least continue to record together since they both make each other stronger. Chad, 23 Milwaukee, WI How convenient that this truce comes after 50 Cent's album hit stores? As talented as he is, 50 thrives off of drama and has been using it since he was up in the club, so why would he stop now? It's nice to see a truce, but all the beef they had was obviously part of their marketing strategy. It's sad that we can't rely on the music to sell itself these days. Cedric, 23 Austin, TX 50 Cent and the Game's truce shows that hip-hop is maturing. Some rappers are beginning to realize that they are role models to inner-city kids. Squashing their beef sets a positive example for the children who look up to them. James, 19 New York, NY 50 Cent is full of crap. If he really wants to call a truce and set an example for the community, then he needs to first call a truce between himself and Ja Rule. That's how all of this escalated in the first place. And he should also apologize to all the other rappers he has dissed, such as Fat Joe and Jadakiss. Demetra, 26 Dallas, TX I'm glad that all of this is over. 50 Cent and Game make great music together. Tiffany, 19 Murfreesboro, TN
  8. Ahhh!! That's ill!! It fits perfect...catch the rap essence that waz sugarcoated on the album version!!
  9. That is my joint!! My fav song on his album!! p.s. lambert...yeah, it dosen't get any realer than "Candy Shop" that is some real heavy street stuff. Throw ya lollipops in the air, and suck 'em like u just don't care. G-G-G-Gay Unit!!
  10. Yeah, most of the stuff in rap videos is rented. Some of them even let u know when it is...but most of them front. If u ever watch MTV's "Making The Video..." or BET's "Access Granted," u'll see that most of these commercial rappers are renting the stuff they use in their videos. Again, they aren't keeping it real...just real darn rediculouse. Oh yeah...and i wouldn't pay 1 penny or a 50 Cent CD. The music is so awful i'd feel ripped off.
  11. I don't think it's time for him 2 go back 2 TV. He's never seemed 2 interested in TV anymore. I find it a lil' hard 2 believe he wants 2 do this. I don't see the show having the same magic. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air worked becuz of the chemistry between the cast, and so much of his behavior waz funny cuz of him being the street kid living in a rich household with family members who couldn't relate 2 him. This new should could never recapture any of that. He waz smart enuff 2 end the show while it waz on top, so i think he'd be smart enuff 2 not do a spin off of the show. Besides...DJ Jazzy Jeff is 40 now...he can't keep gettin' thrown out doors. :hilarious:
  12. I actually prefer FP's dumb dancin.' It's always hilarious. The Carlton Dance is funny, but i've seen it so many times that it only makes me laugh out loud sometimes. Dumb dancin' floors me everytime 2 the point that i'm on the floor doubled over...sometimes tearing up.
  13. Everytime i see that clip of him kursplowing on the sidewalk, i lose it (and yes, i made that word up...well, my friend did and i stole it). I'm thinkin' there will be a good bit of deleted scenes 4 this movie.
  14. Whoa!! Sounds good. Once u guys in the UK can confirm that this is 4 real, then i'm gonna have 2 get that version. Is there anyone in the UK that will hook some of us up if u we send u money, and u can send us the UK version of the CD? We can get it elsewhere, but u guys probably won't rip us off the way internet sellers would.
  15. Well, this issue is dead, Jazzy Julie posted that article 4 us stating that the don't have this so-called "open relationship." Good 2 see u over here Angel Amor!!
  16. It's not a remake of "As We Go." :kekeke: It uses the same sample as that song tho.'
  17. One thing 2 consider about artists/people who file for bankrupysy, it dosen't mean they are broke with nothing 2 their name. It's something that u do when your income fluxuates and u realize that your current income hasn't fit in with your steady expences. It's a way 2 protect yourself and get things in order. When MC Hammer, TLC, and Toni Braxton filled for it, they weren't flat broke. MC Hammer used that as a way 2 balance out his life. He said in an interview that he used it as a way 2 get things in order. TLC did it cuz the people on their original contract wouldn't re-work the deal they signed with. TLC signed like, and 8 album deal but were making no money off their record. They had 2 cover the costs of their music videos and stuff like that and needed 2 use touring as a way 2 make money, but with T-Boz having sickle cell, she can't tour extensively, which held them back. Pepples waz making money off their momumental CraZySeXyCOol album when she had nothing 2 do with it. TLC filed 4 bankruptsy 2 re-work their deal and make a lil' money and 2 get some people from taking their money. When theycame back with FanMail (their 1st album after the legal battle), they stayed with LaFace, got more money off album sales, headlined a HUGE tour, had real fanclub, and merchandise. Toni Braxton hasnt' really talked about her situation. But i can say that Toni Braxton and especially TLC fell victim 2 people downloading 2 much of their music. Both of them are huge names in music and their last albums didn't do 2 well. Left Eye once gave props 2 how music being available online, but it waz her solo album Supernova and 3D that fell victim 2 exessive downloading, neither of those albums did nearly as well as their past ones. If she waz still around, i wonder what she'd say. Let's not forget that Born To Reign is FP's weakest selling album and that u could download that album every where. Oh yeah, MC Hammer waz supposed 2 drop a new album this year...i heard 3 of the trax and liked them all. I don't think anything has happened since early fall, not sure if it's still comin' out.
  18. Ahh...here's a short list... 50 Cent - he's just all about getting attention 4 sales. He has almost nobody left on his side cuz he's dissing everyone. Eminem - i do have respect 4 what he's done in the past and a few things he's done recently...but overall i'm dissapointed in him. Listen 2 The Slim Shady LP...it's a masterpeice. It went downhill from there. He even says on some of his records that he dosen't do have of the things he says in his records. With The Slim Shady LP, that waz cool cuz alot of trax were basically stories with really exagerated and comical parts 2 them. With the newer music he there's just more violence and dark stuff. I don't see why he went that direction. Ja-Rule - He just seems 2 be making music where he tries 2 be the hardest, thugged out guy on the scene...but the image just dosen't work. U can tell it's not 2 real. I wouldn't call someone like Nelly fake, i just don't think his music is good...except 4 a handful of trax, and that's only becuz of the feel of the song, not the lyrics or his "skillz."
  19. I agree, i don't think they ever intended on using whoever played Will's mother in the video on the show. When they shot it, they probably didn't even know when they were gonna introduce the character in2 the show. That intro is strictly a music video. Notice that FP is the only person from the show the video....except for Jazzy. I think this show is one of the only shows that could pull off so many inconsistencies. One thing about the character Jazz, if u compare how many lines he said on the entire series, his ratio of lines that got laffs are higher than anyone else's in the cast. Some people say he waz the butt of all the jokes, but he got the most laffs compared 2 the amount of screen time he had.
  20. My cousin and a group of my friends went and saw the midnight showing up it...which waz funny cuz that wazn't exactly the kinda movie we go 2 a midnight showing of. I 4get what kept me from going. I remember the trailor which waz hilarious. I grew up watching reruns of the show so i do wanna see it. I can picture Jeff at the movies buying a ticket for the movie. :hilarious:
  21. Yeah, i'm so hyped. I have a CD i made that is holding me over in the meantime as well, the tracklisting goes as follows... FRESH PRINCE - Lost + Found Mixtape 1. Swtich 2. Got To Be Real 3. Switch (R&B Remix Snippet) 4. Switch (Tha Arkitek Remix) w/ Lil' Jon 5. Switch (The Nick Russle Remixx) 6. How We Do Freestyle 7. Party Starter (Snippet) w Ludacris 8. Pump Ya Breaks (Snippet) w/ Snoop Dogg 9. Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble (Drop It Like It's Hot Freestyle) 10. Switch (Instrumental) 11. Swich (Acappella) It kills me the way u guys are counting it down by the days. I try not 2 think about it in the meantime so the release date sneaks up on me...but u keep bringing it up....ha ha. I just hope the album dosen't get bumped back. Since he keeps saying he's still finishing up, and since his other albums have been backed up, i'm just a lil' scared. I definitly think this album will be better than Big Willie Style. Infact, i think this album will be comparable to Big Willie Style, just less sugar coated. From what i've heard so far, i don't expect it 2 be as good as Willennium tho'...the trax we've heard are just missing that soul and down 2 earth Hip-Hop vibe. We'll see.
  22. Actually he have him 3 stars. Still a nice lil' review tho.'
  23. The song isn't an Eminem diss. It's a song saying that people mistake his higher level of class 4 softness. He always waves off the fools who mention him in a negative way in their songs, and since he stays above all that, some people think that makes him weak. The song talks about that. A line or 2 poke fun at Eminem...that's it. And those lyrics are definitly fake. FP dosen't spit wackness like that.
  24. There waz an article that AOL waz featuring about Bruce Willis. The beginning focuses on his relationship with ex-wife Demi Moore and how he makes it work. Here's the part mentioning FP. --- People are fascinated at how close you and Demi have stayed since your divorce. How do you make that work? Early on Demi and I decided to put the kids first. What you see is the result of that. I have to give credit to Will Smith, who, at a time when I really could use it, gave me some great advice. He said you've gotta let the kids know it's okay for everybody to be together – you know, exes, new partners. I am still great friends with Demi. I am honestly great friends with Ashton. We go on vacations together. I think how Demi and I and Ashton and my three daughters are handling this is evolution.
